@Brent Farvors Feech selling the cars through Johnny Sack was the last straw. Not only is Feech being a free agent, not only did he hurt someone financially Tony said was protected, but he went outside the family and may have gained favor with a semi-overlord in the Lupertazzi family. It's dangerous. Feech is a smart guy and he definitely knew what he was doing. Him pretending otherwise means he is already lying to Tony. And we do get that near miss conversation where Feech asks Tony B if he can "talk frankly" after calling Tony S the boy King. I think Tony was dead right about feech.

That's because everyone who does their time expects to be treated like a king when they get out. After all, they could have just ratted out the entire family and ended up in a cosy cottage in Wisconsin. They expect gratitude after they get out, but no one puts money in their pocket just for being silent. You get out, and the new boss expects you to earn and kick up as much as the rest of them, except that all the street corners that you used to own now belong to someone else.

This episode is really about Tony needing to choose between power and intimacy. It's part of the larger theme in the show of Tony being confronted with needing to sell part of his soul for material gain. The decision over Feetch is a crucial crossroads for him in that regard. On the one hand, Feech is among the only men who is authentic and brave enough to be real with Tony. Like Carmella had told him earlier, the other men just agree with Tony and act friendly because they're afraid of him. Feetch is different. He's the only one in Tony's crew who can give him recognition as a genuine person. He won't laugh if a joke isn't funny. He won't keep quiet or defer if he thinks he's being wronged. Through him, Tony could actually engage with a real human being *as* just a human being.
At the same time, all of this means that Tony will never have total power over Feetch. Feetch is his own man. He won't fall in line at any and all cost. When Tony remembers Feetch not laughing at his joke, it's both a warning that he can't control him into submission and a reminder that absolute power means total isolation from everyone else. Tony chooses power, of course, but the tears at the end are him still being haunted by the awareness that he really has no one; he's necessarily alone among these men.
In the end, Tony's emotionless response about Chrissy agreeing with him ("It's nice that he agrees, but I'm not running a fuckin' popularity contest") is Tony coming full circle; he's affirming his solitude for the sake of maintaining absolute rule over the family.

Feech was like a shark. He smelled blood and discontent. Old school guys can do that. So, he started running his own program. Tony knew he couldn't control Feech. Or he would be replaced. So, Tony got rid of Feech by setting him up with the Flat screen T.V caper. Can't believe Feech didn't see it coming. I would have. But he didn't. I'm not saying he was wrong in this case, but tony never showed appreciation or respect for dudes that were high ranking members, got pinched doing their job, stood up and did decades, and when you go to jail for 10-30 years and come back and the low level knock around kid is your boss, things are super strict from what they used to be, it's gonna be hard to transition back into modern society as a criminal. If I was under tony and I went away facing 20 shine boxes, I would be a lot more likely to flip knowing I wont get any respect for standing up. That with how he treated bobby when he got jumped and still made his number, beating up that kid for no reason, how he would show his underlings no respect and embarss them in front of everyone when he was having a bad day, he created no motivation to be loyal. You need to balance fear and respect, positive and negative reionforment. He never showed positive reinforcement, and sometimes negative when it wasn't even deserved. He was much happier and more competent as a captain.

It almost took all the energy out of Tony to say “ you’re right “ to him. But I think that’s the most important part of the show , Tony has the capabilities to be a great leader but him needing a therapist every episode of the show is showing the viewer that he’s not mentally fit to lead all of the time in that business . None of them are because look what it cost them . Every leader of the show collapses internally in a way Junior(Alzheimer’s) Jackie(Cancer) , Johnny Sack(Cancer) , Tony(paranoia)

I wouldn't go that far. Tony talked about Feech like he was a rockstar and lauded the man. With both him and Richie Tony made sure to set them back up with Ritchie getting right back to running his own crew. Richie and Feech kept disrespecting Tony and in Richie's he probably should've been dead after running Beansie. He nearly killed someone under Tony's protection and crippled him after being told point blank to leave him alone. If anything Tony's respect and affection for Richie as a mentor and his late best friend's big brother is probably the thing that kept him from being chopped up or to lightly paraphrase Tony, "found in the back one of your trucks" in fairly short order. Feech was actively making deals with high ranking members family's behind Tony's and making a habit of ignoring his orders. Again Tony's good feelings for someone probably kept them from being killed.

If Tony didn't do anything about Feech, Johnny Sac would've continued to sow division in the Jersey family. Driving a wedge into them allows New York to secretly siphon money from Jersey through Feech, but also it allows them take Tony out if they ever needed to and replace him easily with someone else who is well respected, would work with them, and wouldn't seek revenge. In short, Feech was becoming a threat to Tony's leadership and if Tony didn't do something about it then it would only have gotten much worse over time.
