Being from Ms, (not living in Clarksdale) Clarksdale back in the days was a good place to go to. It has three highways (49, 61, and 6) that used to go through it but now they by-pass it. Hwy 49 going north will take you into Helena, Ark. When we go to the mountains going to Branson, Mo, we go through Clarksdale. Love going that way. I can’t say much about it now except a lot of things that was there in my younger days when traveling through it are gone. Like all the other towns and cities. It is getting into the Mississippi delta. I am NOT trying to knock Clarksdale, I’m just saying that to let folks know about where it sets. Hope this doesn’t offend anyone--that was not my intention.
