Greetings Eh!!! You hit the mark about Max and his stage awareness. Max has admitted in interviews he focuses on Bruce's back for the entire show. He also mentioned there's a bone in Bruce's back he keys on, it tips him off on where Bruce is about to go. It's little things that make the band great! Yes, E Street Horns, seen them many times with Bruce, it's just a joy!! Rock On!!!
Max says he can tell what song Bruce is going to play just by the way he counts it off
Long live & God bless Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band!!!!
I believe Bruce has covered these over the years. This was for the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame's 25th anniversary. Bruce and the ESB were one of the core bands of the shows. Bruce used his show to bring out some of the older Hall of Famers. He also played with Billy Joel, U2, Patti Smith and others.
I saw Bruce in Arizona a few years later and Sam was there but let’s say age was catching up with him. He was in the audience off to the side and Bruce went into the audience and he sat next to him and they sang together and trading the mic. It was such a fun and beautiful tribute! He does those so well!
This is just a delight
Nice way to start the day. Those old classics really hit the spot. (When done properly)
That was just fun!!
Great reaction Dave...I really enjoy watching Bruce and the ESB. I saw them live in New Orleans JazzFest and they brought Dr. John on stage that was freaking awesome.
Oh dang that would have been amazing to see and hear.
Great
"Johnie Nobody and the Never Will Be's " I think I saw them live at a bar in Moose Jaw lol
Another great honest review
So far you have seen Bruce and ESB cover Van Halen, Bee Gees , Lorde, AC/DC, Social Distortion, Sam Moore, Mitch Ryder - and cover them well - add in the covers of Prince, the Clash, Beatles, Dylan, Smokey Robinson, Brian Adams, INXS and more that are out there - and I agree - tough to name any other band that could pull that off and make it sound GOOD
Sam Moore once said about Bruce Springsteen, if his name was Dave, he'd be perfect.
Check out the Jackie Wilson "(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher" cover they do on this concert too.
12:11 that piano, Roy is the best
Sam & Dave were a big influence on Bruce's live performances.
Sam Moore's still got that voice.
