Chan just started the thing that will give people the knowledge about stage performances and I hope people stop throwing hate at artists every now and then
When artists usually try to avoid the word Lipsynching, here is Chan teaching Stays why is it so necessary to pre-record your vocals. Seriously it's totally understandable and every artist should make this clear. The only one who shout "Your faves' lipsynching" will be antis And the thing is even if its pre recorded isn't it the artist who sang and recorded it themselves. So ofc their vocals are good. It may not be the best vocal but they should not be treated like they are tone deaf
I mean do people literally expect that artists will perform without atleast backup vocals throughout 2 - 3 hour concerts !? Like they're called artists not magicians. They are human beings too.

First of all, it's their voice, their body, their career, their choice. second, you could've said all of that without mentioning anyone or saying that they ABSOLUTELY NEED to explain it, just say something like "wow, his video was really useful. I love that he explains this bc some of yall go "your faves can't sing/can't sing live" like ok YOU try singing while dancing on 2 hrs of sleep and see if you sound like even half of the studio version. Skz and other groups singing live and doing it well is such a great thing, but remember this is more than a full time job and everyone needs a break.
I love this so much. It isn't even Chan defending SKZ or something because they can and do sing live like 90% of the time anyway. His explanations of details in the industry and the realities of the idol lifestyle and schedule help people have more perspective and less speculation-based blame on ALL idols. This is their job as singers yes, but they're still human and factors like low sleep, and constant voice use have inevitable impacts that need extra support.

He explains that they cannot sing live all the time because they have daily performances for weeks on end during promotion cycles, with exhausting schedules and rather little sleep. Yet here you are claiming that they "sing live 90% of the time". He is literally saying they cannot do that, they don't sing live 90% of the time, they do that once or twice and then they use the pre-recorded file for the rest of the performances. It's the reality of idol singers who need to sing and dance daily for weeks in an exhausting environment, how can people still be in denial after he directly and clearly states they don't sing live most of the time?
I’m so grateful that Chan is so honest and is willing to explain these things because people genuinely don’t know. It’s very important to understand that idols are humans and we don’t see so much of what their daily lives look like and so there are measures to help that even just a little bit (like pre-recording). It’s very understandable like Chan said.
I really enjoy hearing Chan talking about music like this, or like talking about the processes they go through for performances. It's really cool!! I can definitely understand why their voices would need a break sometimes, too. It makes sense.
Rather than rely on prerecorded vocals, I would honestly prefer to see the agencies just let their idols get some goddamn rest so they can keep themselves healthy and sing live comfortably, like they all would undoubtedly love to be able to do. The real root of the problem here is overwork.
Yes I agree, there are way too much music shows stages in my opinion. I don't even watch 20% of them. Nowadays they only execute their choreography like a rehearsal, lip sync or sing live with such a loud backtrack that we can't even hear them.. so yes I agree there should be less stages, so they could make quality stages.
It's kinda funny how if this really happened, then that means way less variety shows, solo schedules, less talking/laughing in general to preserve the throat, etc. If this happened, fans would be like "the company doesn't promote them properly, why don't the company let them appear in this show, etc." bc I certainly have seen this type of comments before. Like I follow this group (which I'm not going to name), and one member has been in a drama and variety shows before, but the fans said it's not enough. I personally think it would be better to have a backtrack and idols sing live on top of it. Isn't that how they do it with 2nd generation idols? Like it's not perfect and stable, but I could definitely tell they were singing live which I appreciate a lot.
@@vjbkbkllhgvjhbki5019 you're so right but the fans would have to get over it lol. companies should (even tho they dont and wont) care about their singers health first and foremost....even from a financial perspective no one wants to watch an exhausted idol. i think fans would respect that if it came from the idols themselves too saying they need rest more than just a company staying silent on why their idols aren't constantly doing promotions.
@@Raphael-2there’s so many goddamn music show stages that it annoys me. And I’ve only watched the Christmas Evel one because that was the only one where I was like, “Oh. A performance I haven’t seen yet. Cool.” I love seeing Stray Kids perform, but I’m not going to watch them do the same song in ten different places. No. I will eventually hate the song.
@@royalishere3832 I share your opinion. I like to watch live performances of SKZ on RUclips (I really mean their concerts). But I really don't want to watch 100500 performances on various shows with "Case 143" and "Maniac". I love these songs, but not in the same amount!
That makes so much sense. I wondered how they can sing when they are exhausted because my voice almost disappears when I‘m exhausted and it’s so difficult and probably damaging when I try to sing at that stage. They have to use their voice even more so it probably really needs that prerecording so that they don’t damage their voice too much over time.
That is why idols are first trainee and only then debut and become idols. In order not to get tired, they need endurance, and endurance is gained through hard and long training. This is not easy to achieve
@@betxengi5388 as long as you're a human you'll get tired. It's just that training helps you perform better when you're tired and not completely screw up.
I love how he’s comfortable talking about it cause a lot of artist usually shy away from this conversation because majority are scared of getting bashed because people think oh “ they can’t sing live “ , just like when we yell / scream too much our voices can give out , so imagine having too sing everyday and still having too remain stable ? It’s a lot on their voices so sometimes using backtracks , lip singing etc is needed for artist health
Before i didn't really paid attention to live vocals, wether or not they are singing live...but few months ago, i bought a bluetooth headset and i realized i could perceived live vocals singing on top of pre-recorded songs...i think that it was with Exo Exploration's concert Gravity...now it became like a game to me finding live vocals in "supposed" live performances...😁
I would've been satisfied with "it's hard to sing while dancing so hard" but this actually broke my heart 🥲 he pretty much *said* that those weren't humane conditions for a singer...
I appreciate how honest he is about the topic, because so many people act like doing this is a crime. But it's just part of the industry and like he said, "We can't do it every day." Their schedules are hectic and exhausting, and that takes a toll on your voice. But they are expected to deliver perfection every time. So they need pre-recordings as support.
i love how he really explain it in detail for us Stays to understand and tell us to respect it🥺🥰🥰 oh and also im a multitasker staring at him while listening to him and trying to understand his speech
This man is the reason why almost half of the population get interested in or know about SKZ if they have no idea about who they are... He's not just protecting or supporting his group members only.. He's supportive to each n every real artist in the industry and that is what we love about him.
Yes, I will pay 120% attention to Chan explaining music(which I don't understand at all) but not even bother to attend my classes without which I will fail💀 Edit: Holy Moly, thanks for the likes guys.
Jajaja agree put all my attention to Chan explaining why they pre recording but teacher explaining the lessons for the next exam only a 10% of the attention XD
I feel like Chan can talk about this freely and comfortably since he’s the leader of Stray kids and a group who’s known always singing live not to mention he’s a producer with 3racha so he’s well educated about it and didn’t seem like an excuse for him and his group.
It was a really good question and i'm glad Chan answered it well and honestly. Now it makes more sense and it makes us understand more how exhausting being an idol is. Of course idols who sing live most of the time are extraordinary and professionals but it's okay if they sometimes lipsync and nothing to be ashamed of . Afterall idols are also humans and they have ups and down just like us. Thank you Channie for explaining , it was helpful ❤
Companies and artists usually try to avoid talking about stuff like this, but I honestly think it’s so important to be transparent about it because knowledge leads to respect and ignorance leads to hate. When you fully know and understand that kpop artists have prerecorded vocals because of the reasons Chan explained + needing to breathe when dancing, you aren’t gonna whine and say that kpop artists can’t sing. We have more than ample proof that every single debuted kpop artist can sing well. It’s a dead argument.
Chan speaking the truth for every idol out there! Fans and everyone needs to understand the use of pre-recordings and what these artists have to go through to put on these stages and how busy their day to day schedules are. Just because artists use pre-recordings doesn’t make them less of an artist or mean that they can’t sing.
Finally someone who tells the truth and reason behind it which is totally understandable".Every artist is good at singing that's why they are artist" Well said chan... Thank you for spreading love
The pre-recorded studio track can be useful for other reasons too. You have a copy of each member’s voice so if someone is gone for some reason then you can just play the back track during their part. Or when there are a lot of very difficult and high ad libs, there’s no point in the singer standing still to sing them live for so long, because nobody really cares. It’s better for the ad libs to be pre recorded so everyone can keep dancing and the spotlight is just on the person who’s singing the main line. Also, there are a lot of sound effects that sound better pre recorded like laughing and whispering.
I can think of a group that has their singing member do a lighter choreo or just stand for their adlib. I think it's beautiful and I love it. Kind of more variety in the performance, feels less thrown together without regard for physicality and more deliberate. So yeah I care.
This is nonsensical. In that case people would understand playing the actual studio grade track because in reality the version he is describing is essentially a low quality studio version anyway. The main difference here is that the low quality version is intentionally deceptive alongside the deceptive microphones. And that's why people get upset. It's extremely deceptive.
As a singer I can relate to this so much because everything else I do takes a huge toll on my voice so it’s completely understandable if some artists don’t sing live sometimes. Besides we all know that SKZ do such a great job with their live singing already.
Let's just agree that one of the biggest reasons why ppl get crazily into SKZ is Chan. He's just too amazing, i cant describe it in words. (And ofc i freaking love all members equally OT8

Wow i always wanted to know what happens behind the curtains and here he is explaining feeling sad lil bit but really proud and loads of respect for the kpop artists as how they want to flourish their passion and make the everyday world a better place.
as a person who saw them live, stray kids literally sang 8 different songs IN A ROW with 0 breaks in between, not kidding. it was during when side effects came out and they performed their predebut track Hellevator first which requires a lot of energy, then district 9 afterwards, and they went on with their discography until they reached 8 songs. they were INSANE.
Bang Chan is a *perfect all-rounder* to me... Isn't he?? He sings, raps, dances, writes and produces songs too! He's good at it all, to be honest! I think he deserves more fame... As he said, every artist can be good at singing, but every artist may not exhibit all the 5 music skills like him. Other than music, he has more talents as we know... As far as I know, he is even good at sports and many more! ❤ YOU ARE A KING, CHANNIEEEE! ❤
So glad an actual Korean artist spoke about this!!! Also the fact that singing WHILE dancing is just crazy insane, most people can't do that well if they tried. Artists, even if they CAN sing live while dancing, really shouldn't. It would just be bad for their voice/throat and overall energy levels. Also mental health, if they end up not sounding 100% perfect (which is not even possible while dancing/exhausted on stage). I'm totally happy with idols using pre-recordings while dancing, and only singing live when they're not dancing/exhausted. That's totally valid and does not at all take away from them being talented singers/dancers/performers, whatever their specialty is.
Yes i love chan for saying this all the artists whom have debut have the skills and as a singer it does take a toll on your throat singing for long hours every day and dancing to the amount of breath control needed is also crazy so I'd rather they not sing if their condition is bad because then their condition is only gonna get worse.
it always impresses me so much that idols are even able to sing well in the studio, since they work so damn hard all the time! chan explains everything related to music so so well, and he does a really good job of explaining why things like pre-recording, which "fans" will tear into with absolutely no fucking mercy, are actually necessary in order to keep performers healthy and up on their feet. props to literally any performer out there, every single singer, dancer, rapper, any kind of live performer, because literally every single one of you works so hard! from one performer to another, i love yall. keep doing what youre doing
I'm so glad he explained this to people. I myself am a singer and honestly, it terrifies me the things idols are expected to do and the standards placed on them, not just vocally. I averaged about 6 hours sleep over the last 4 days and when I woke up the day I was supposed to be singing with the worst voice. I can't hang around bonfires, smokers, even deodorant and stuff, it all takes a toll on my throat. I think I've drunk more water in the last 4 years than I did my entire life prior.
I completely agree with Chan, and I love how he takes the time to explain everything to stay clearly and carefully so we don't misunderstand. The only pet peeve I've ever had with artists pre-recording is a lack of honesty about it. It is a necessary and prevalent part of the industry, yet I haven't seen anyone except Chan be willing to acknowledge it. I just feel like a lot of hate surrounding lipsyncing and similar topics could be resolved by more honest discussions like these.
Chan explaining what it's like to be an artist to everyone so they won't just criticize the idols or artists as if they know better 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 this is why I stan Bang Chan and Stray Kids so much!!! They are in for transparency, genuineness, and maturity 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💗💗💗💗
I love how he talks about everything ,he does reactions to other artists freely , this is what we want to see ...idols talk and react react to other artists ,i really respect and love his personality ❤️ I'm not stay but i'm proud
So basically if we want absolutely no prerecorded singing and only live 100% of the time then they’ll need to massively cut down on making other content. Right? Talking about Stray Kids, we know how much digital content they put out for us. What they’re doing now in terms of live singing, prerecordings, interviews, shoots etc etc is pretty balanced I think. Quality content on all fronts.
usually idols will sing live only during certain events. such as concerts they will sing live and sometimes assisted with their own backing vocals, or like events that require them to sing live, there are several events in Korea like that. but there are also idols who always perform and sing live like mamamoo, because when they perform a lot of adlibs and some tunes they improve themselves.
As for stray kids, I think they will indeed provide a few days of rest before performing live, and if they have to perform live, they should take care of their vocal cords by not shouting too much, or talking too much, like when they perform at a kingdom show, han must keeps himself from speaking too much to keep his vocal cords steady later on during performances.
@@virginia9560 mhm apropos Mamamoo. So of course they aren't always live. I know they try to be, and I love their vocals also live, but right here the man says it like it is. Then there is this section of Moomoo fandom who go like "rbw bad company, rbw not promote mmm good enough, rbw must send them to more shows, more variety and more interview" and like... Hello? Girls need a rest please. Just because a total abuse like grind to near death is the way of life in kpop doesn't mean it should be? Like it's ok to have doubts whether the company is doing the thing, but also maybe not just disparage them based on mere imagination. Recently there has been more stuff and rise in popularity but also the adlibs disappear? I know members are leaving, Wheein is now with queen Ailee and Ravi, Moonbyul also has a thing lined up seems like, but it's probably not because they're underworked with the grind. More like creative resources of the company are starting to get focused elsewhere so they are looking for creative outlets and options.
I was thinking the same. This is a standard practice across most k-dance groups. And we can't even expect them to cut down on other content pieces because the competition keeps increasing and choreo keeps getting harder (or physically demanding).
I never have been a person to question why (some) artists don't sing live, but now Chan also gave me another perspective. I honestly only thought about how it must be hard to sing and dance at the same time when some groups' choreography is very demanding. But now I thinking about everything he said in this video, it makes even more sense.
Thank god somebody like Chan exists to tell us facts properly. I always thought pre-recorded vocals were a waste of time and work because why can't they just sing live without having to waste their time singing to a mic before the performance happens? But the answer he gave was simple enough to debunk my belief for a long time. Love to whoever asked that question too!
Its not just that, people get sick as well. You can't always be on your best form everyday, even more so when you are on tour and dealing with lack of sleep, jetlag, nerves etc. You do your best, but even the best of the best have bad days.
This makes me think of how EXO Chen had talked about how the high notes he had to always sing have done a lot of damage to his voice. I am all for pre-recording.
finally someone said it! its true, many ppl have a misconception that professional performers always have to be able to sing live and they have this fantasy schedule, when reality is they have grueling schedules and its not good to sing every day, your voice needs rest.
That was perfectly explained by Chris and I could see why they need to pre-record cause their schedule is jam packed we're lucky they accomplish everything they do it's always to a professional level and then some. Love our SKZ FOREVER. NICE. Awesome video thanks straykidscrumbs. 3:38 🐺🦉🇦🇺🥰😊
I've been working as a live sound engineer and pre-recorded vocals are also needed as a backup as well. Anything can happen in a live stage from just things suddenly don't work such as the mic may turn off suddenly in the middle of the show, etc. It's important to have a backup always.
I will never find within myself the amount of patience and tolerance Chan has. Like I understand not all of us know the ins and outs of the industry but logically no one on this planet can work like a machine, an artist's voice is their wealth, without it they literally can't work. How some people fail to understand that not every performance has to or can or even should be live stuns me every time I see tweets about oh so and so didn't sing live and whatnot.
I really admire Chan for being transparent with the awareness of knowing how much idols get picked apart for their singing, dancing, performance…practically everything! Heck even their actions are overanalyzed. But since he has a decades worth of experience (trainee for 7 years, leader for almost 4 years), he has a secure foundation in every element of entertainment, including music production. What a guy!!
This is why Chan's one of the most respected idols and leaders. He's such a caring, honest and true person. Love the way he always talks good about every other artist.
im glad this video is still circulating. sometimes ppl just dont understand when us normal people try to explain it to them and it just hits harder when an idol says at themselves. not only that, the industry is harsh and they like perfection. like have you sing while dancing? its not easy at all, and they have to do it everyday. its not just singing it for the stage but for practice, recordings, producing etcetc
Love that he explained this! Not a Stay, but props to him for talking about this in a straightforward manner bc it's a topic that idols get bashed on so often.
I really adore this man's capability of adressing the issue in such a wise and polite way while educating people at the same time. Like he didn't make excuses or lied, but he explains why they do that without bring down the jobs of idol. I dunno how much power this man hold in his company that he has the freedom to talk about it (this is my first time seeing JYP's artist can openly talk about it, I thought JYP was pretty strict)... but it really help a lot as a representative for other idols who didn't have the freedom to adress this issue.
I’m not a fan of skz and this was in my recommendations page but THIS IS SO IMPORTANT I really wish more people could understand how hard is it to be an idol, how hard is it to be ‚perfect‘ all the time. They are not pre-recording their singing to fool us or make low quality performance. The companies obviously won’t tell you how overworked and exhausted their artists can be during a comeback but they are and if they can do at least a little thing to make it easier, they will do it, idk who wouldn’t…
I’m not a Stay but I really appreciate Chan’s explanation. And a lot of Stays have been asking other fans to go watch this particular Vlive to understand why some artists pre-record their vocals. I have to share that my faves during their most recent comeback performed in every music show, attended live concerts, filmed YT content, besides their repackage they prepared for another comeback scheduled after 1 month, and even made time to attend their company’s fundraising event, oh and one member was even filming a reality show at the time. They had to start preparing for the stages at 3AM every day and then at night they would have to perform again at live concerts PLUS they had to find time to practice. They were posting good night on 💬 at 3 AM and then posting good morning at 6 AM. Dang right that’s gonna take a toll on any idol no matter how talented they are - they need proper rest too and they shouldn’t strain their voices and force themselves to sing and dance live every single time besides, they get paid very little to appear on music shows tbh. As long as they perform live on most of their songs during their concerts, it should be ok 👌 And no fan should ever expect any idol to sing live every single time, they’re not robots. 💚
I have a lot of respect for him for talking about it so openly. I am a musical performer myself and to keep your vocal chords in shape with 8 shows a week is hard enough to do on it's own, I don't want to imagine how much vocal fatigue they must have with all the other stuff on their schedule. A friend of mine showed me "live" footage of Ariana Grande concerts and hated it when I said that she wasn't really singing live. But it only is natural. They have a reputation to uphold and your voice is different everyday. You just have two options: You either do it like Michael Bublé and adjust the songs to how your voice feels on that particular day (like on some days he sings some notes lower than on some recordings or on days where his voice feels really well) or you prerecord the parts where you just know that you won't be able to do them when you don't feel well. And while I do prefer the first method because it really shows how well the artist knows his/her voice it is not always possible for everyone to do it that way, not because they wouldn't have the skill but because of the expectations their audience has. Jazz like Michael Bublé does is much more free as a genre so when he changes something no one minds, it is just a choice. But Ariana Grande and K Pop as well lives a lot from insane high notes, combined with dancing and everyone waits for them and would be super bummed if they wouldn't be done. So that is why the prerecorded vocals are needed. Not because they are not able to do them, I mean they still DID do them themselves just not in that exact moment, because artists are human and the voice is a very sensitive instrument that is different every day and they just have to ensure the same quality every day.
I truly don't mind "lip-syncing" they work so hard and the fact they put in the effort to make a live recording is amazing. And when artists are on tour, they often have a consistent schedule so like when skz does concerts they sing completely live because they can. I've never really seen any artist full lip sync at a concert.
Chan just started the thing that will give people the knowledge about stage performances and I hope people stop throwing hate at artists every now and then

They have to use their voice even more so it probably really needs that prerecording so that they don’t damage their voice too much over time.
yeah and even tho there are prerecordings, so many artists sing over it, which is pretty amazing if you think about it
That is why idols are first trainee and only then debut and become idols.
We need more of these music lessons of Chan tho- 🤌✨❤️❤️
He looks so much good with this hairstyle!!
Yeah one of my fav
I have so much respect for Bang Chan for talking so openly. He is honestly such a good, wholesome person. ❤
this makes a lot of sense! thanks for explaining channnn. and thanks op for the reupload! will keep in mind for my future reactions/analysis ☺️
Heyy Jeff
Yes, I will pay 120% attention to Chan explaining music(which I don't understand at all) but not even bother to attend my classes without which I will fail💀
Edit: Holy Moly, thanks for the likes guys.
Jajaja agree put all my attention to Chan explaining why they pre recording but teacher explaining the lessons for the next exam only a 10% of the attention XD
They should have kpop idols explain subjects💘💘
@@rawiii5578 Everyone becomes a topper then🙂
Ikr. I'm supposed to be attending uni lectures rn and I'm at home watching Chan explain music and the importance of pre-recording.
💀💀I have final exams in a week and here I'm watching this
I feel like Chan can talk about this freely and comfortably since he’s the leader of Stray kids and a group who’s known always singing live not to mention he’s a producer with 3racha so he’s well educated about it and didn’t seem like an excuse for him and his group.
Thank you Channie for explaining , it was helpful ❤
this guy is one of the most transparent artists out there and i love him for it. stan skz.
I have nothing to say other than this man is an angel.
I just love love love hearing Chan talk about behind the scenes stuff in the industry I could listen to him for hours
When Chan gets serious and teaches us about performances, producing, and music theory 😍🔥
I’m so grateful bangchan’s an idol bc he explains these things delicately and empathetically.
Thank you for spreading love
so glad to have someone like chan in the industry that isn't afraid to explain stuff and misunderstandings
There’s no way singers can sing that much and not strain their vocals. The max you can do is 2 hours long a day . I’m glad he told the truth
Trueee
*I need music theory lessons from this man--*
If he was my teacher I would never miss school his voice is so attractive and I can look at him all day
CHAN I LOVE YOU, THANK YOU FOR TALKING ABOUT THIS WITH STAY, IT'S LIKE YOU ARE TRUSTING US AND THAT'S REALLY TOUCHING 😭❤
Bangchan, why are you so good and wholesome??? Even though you're younger than me I have nothing but respect for you 😌
this is more interessting than most interview they attends, i rl enjoy it when he or the members talk about their work and what it's actually about. How it work and stuff i rl like it
I love how he takes time to break down and explain these things to us. Cause it really helps us understand them better and brings us a little closer to them. Thanks Channie for always educating us on these kind of things
i’m in love w/his hair
I don't stan stray kids, i think that's amazing to see an idol speaking for all the others idols and explain the pre-recorded vocals exist
your job requires a lot of fatigue and physical and mental effort and you also have to pressure yourself, so that your toil will not go to waste so wi will continue to support you. Your explanation was very nic. thank you for your hard work and effort 🥰thanks stray kids 💓💓
Wow i always wanted to know what happens behind the curtains and here he is explaining feeling sad lil bit but really proud and loads of respect for the kpop artists as how they want to flourish their passion and make the everyday world a better place.
The Best Processor we have🧎🏻♀️♥️
as a person who saw them live, stray kids literally sang 8 different songs IN A ROW with 0 breaks in between, not kidding. it was during when side effects came out and they performed their predebut track Hellevator first which requires a lot of energy, then district 9 afterwards, and they went on with their discography until they reached 8 songs. they were INSANE.
i love chans hairstyle🤩
I'm seeing you everywhere now
Bang Chan is a *perfect all-rounder* to me... ❤
YOU ARE A KING, CHANNIEEEE! ❤
Sadly he's the most underappreciated member in skz !
I'm a new stay and i have noticed it a lot !
@@doubleslit3913 Yes 🙁
All kpop stan need to see this as their basic knowledge
I missed chan's live for the 100000000000000000 th time
Awww he's amazing
Yes i love chan for saying this all the artists whom have debut have the skills and as a singer it does take a toll on your throat singing for long hours every day and dancing to the amount of breath control needed is also crazy so I'd rather they not sing if their condition is bad because then their condition is only gonna get worse.
As a producer, I agree with him. Pre-recorded vocals are REALLY needed. No wonder I got an inspiration from Chan of becoming a producer :3
it always impresses me so much that idols are even able to sing well in the studio, since they work so damn hard all the time! chan explains everything related to music so so well, and he does a really good job of explaining why things like pre-recording, which "fans" will tear into with absolutely no fucking mercy, are actually necessary in order to keep performers healthy and up on their feet. props to literally any performer out there, every single singer, dancer, rapper, any kind of live performer, because literally every single one of you works so hard! from one performer to another, i love yall. keep doing what youre doing
I love how he talks about everything ,he does reactions to other artists freely , this is what we want to see ...idols talk and react react to other artists ,i really respect and love his personality ❤️
I'm not stay but i'm proud
And we can't even expect them to cut down on other content pieces because the competition keeps increasing and choreo keeps getting harder (or physically demanding).
and at the end of the day what they recorded is still their voice! doesn’t make them any less talented :) thanks for explaining this clearly, chan!!
That's a total Answer in brief😂😂
I love him so much❤❤
I never have been a person to question why (some) artists don't sing live, but now Chan also gave me another perspective.
Love to whoever asked that question too!
omg bangchan is so necessary for this industry and for the whole world-
Its not just that, people get sick as well.
He looks good with every color
this is a great insight! Thanks Chan! Pre-recording really is indeed necessary for back to back shows! Will keep this in mind in my future reactions!
finally someone said it! its true, many ppl have a misconception that professional performers always have to be able to sing live and they have this fantasy schedule, when reality is they have grueling schedules and its not good to sing every day, your voice needs rest.
his hairstyle😭🔥
That was perfectly explained by Chris and I could see why they need to pre-record cause their schedule is jam packed we're lucky they accomplish everything they do it's always to a professional level and then some. Love our SKZ FOREVER. NICE. Awesome video thanks straykidscrumbs. 3:38 🐺🦉🇦🇺🥰😊
I missed chan ..............im glad he come for us ......thanks channie ;)
we love an educating king
this was very informative
He respects every artist and what he said is very important for people to understand and not hate on idols.
❤️❤️❤️
Chan explaining this kind of stuff despite of they're so good at singing live🤧♥️♥️♥️
I've been working as a live sound engineer and pre-recorded vocals are also needed as a backup as well. Anything can happen in a live stage from just things suddenly don't work such as the mic may turn off suddenly in the middle of the show, etc. It's important to have a backup always.
What do you know, you learn something new every day! That’s for the clarification Chan!❣️
The voice is a muscle and can become soar and strained just like any other part of your body.
bang chan respectfully telling to cut idols some slack.
Louder for the ppl at the back
I really admire Chan for being transparent with the awareness of knowing how much idols get picked apart for their singing, dancing, performance…practically everything! Heck even their actions are overanalyzed. But since he has a decades worth of experience (trainee for 7 years, leader for almost 4 years), he has a secure foundation in every element of entertainment, including music production. What a guy!!
He would be a great teacher for sure
Why is he so good 😭
I'm focusing on the way bangchan speak's than understanding what he's saying that Australian Accent is just so SMOOTH AND COOL you knorrr.
I'm not even a stay.. but y am i falling in love with this man?
He's so kind for doing this to help Twice!
The whole kpopers should see this hehe it opens our mind
I think every kpop fan should be required to watch this!
That's really interesting to see the point of view of an idol ! Fans tend to speak over idols' voices and assume many things.
chan is awesome
Anjay 🗿
I’m really glad that Chan was open to share why pre recorded vocals are a thing and why idol have them for performances.
It makes so much sense how Channie explains it and I’m so sorry for them with all of those schedules and how they work allotttt 🥺🥺🥺🥺
I truly don't mind "lip-syncing" they work so hard and the fact they put in the effort to make a live recording is amazing. And when artists are on tour, they often have a consistent schedule so like when skz does concerts they sing completely live because they can. I've never really seen any artist full lip sync at a concert.
