Hello everyone, Rohan here. In this fishing video, I make the most of the final day to what was another beautiful Easter long weekend in the Northwest.
Unable to have Eden by my side due to busy mum duties. I embark on a solo squidding and spearfishing adventure and aim to bring home a delicious mixed bag for my efforts.
Having taken some time off from the camera and speargun alike, I'm rusty all 'round as I chew your ear off with narration to my days antics and miss-fired shots on some lucky fish that live to see another day.

Haha I'd honestly spear squid if they were easy enough to find and shoot 😂 I was wearing one of your hats you sent over to us on the morning of this video but I left my dive door down and it blew out the back of my boat when I was steaming along before I could rep it in the video 😭🤦♂️ I was kicking myself but still got the other one safe and sound for next time 🤠 Appreciate yas!

Hey Geoff 🙂 always appreciated mate! The sea snake didn't worry me, they're everywhere in the water up here and always very curious, often swimming right up to us underwater for a close look. Sharks and Eels are about the only animals that worry me under water. Thanks for the feedback! Had the shirts made so we could at least wear our own logo in the videos, it seemed about time 😄 Hope to see you again soon!
If your going to dive alone in current throw a rope and float out back of boat and get a personal epirb not a good idea diving alone Without some sort of backup
Thanks, mate, absolutely. Some argue that diving alone is not a good idea, period. I personally don't like diving with any more ropes or things to get tangled up in the water than absolutely necessary. Hence, never diving with a float line or even having the anchor down, I always find it being more hassle than it's worth when tangles happen or bumping into stuff. I was letting go of the boat and kicking for 5 or so seconds before each drop to make sure I'd get back alright with the current. I find myself enjoying solo dives more than any other, and hopefully nothing bad ever comes from it but it's worth the risk for the enjoyment in my eyes 😇
👍 don't go spearing in a sanctuary zone like Brodie did and get ya boat seized by fisheries officers 🤦♂️

No harm done brother! Some people like the videos with everything explained, some hate it, I try my best to keep it balanced between the two. I deliberately made two videos almost identical once, but I spoke a lot in one and very little in the other, just to test this, and the one with the talking did far better for views in the end so can't win 'em all every time unfortunately 🍻
