Question: are dolphin kicks not allowed in DNF? I have found I get more speed/distance per stroke if I do a dolphin kick right after my regular frog kick.

Core muscles for sure engaged, but mainly for stabilization I would say. You can try to redestribute your weights, might be have a bit less on your neck weight and a small weight on a weight belt
One question.. Can we do these drills without weights?? My bouyancy get disturb and water is pulling me up and mostly i used to put some weight to maitain my bouyancy. Pls suggest.
I like to do drills, when neutral buoyant (I use weights for it). But you can experiment and sometimes do "arms only" or "legs only" without weights. In this case you probably is going to be positive buoyant and as result need to minimize gliding phase and do strokes/kicks more often
