  • Here is my 2 year ownership review of my 2021 Ford Transit Custom Trail 130 L1H1 Euro 6. I have owned this from new and previously owned a Euro 5 custom for 3 years. Its a great van with a few annoying features.

How is it in the vans Fault that you pick up stone chips?

@@badgical640 the paint is poor quality very thin compared to pre face lift I owned before.

I have a 2020 Fiat Talento onyx edition 170 bhp lwb in black, coming up 3 years of ownership shortly. It hardly has any stone chips whatsoever. I am really pleased with it still. I got it fully professionally converted into a camper van - love it. We regularly travel 300 miles at a time to the Scottish Highlands, very comfortable for me and the wife in the dual passenger seat as well. Covered top storage on the dash, alloy wheels, side runner bars, air con, android, sat nav, rear reversing camera, parking sensors, cruise, speed limiter, start / stop euro 6 as standard. The van cost me £25k brand new including vat, during the height of the pandemic. Ad blue consumption isn't excessive either.

Sounds like a winner. I’ve not driven one. Don’t get me wrong the custom is a great van but there certainly are a few areas where it could be improved.

I have the Torneo titanium and it’s a 21 as well. Dome 32k and have to agree with all that you say. Adblue use is definitely heavy Ours is a 2 seat in the front so are more comfortable. Our paint is ok but is metallic blue so possibly black is worse. Same mpg as you but mine is the auto so not too bad. Main gripe for me is the shocking headlights! We get a new one this year but have gone to a Mercedes Sprinter

Hope you don't suffer with the notorious wet belt issue.

I sold it. After two years of ownership and having another for couple of years I’ve gone for a crafter. Still rate them as a van and would have another.

2020 version : 1. From the very beginning the infotainment system has been un predictable at best. (FORD always say it'll be fine with a update, never true) 2. There seems to be a strong odour from the exhaust. Not a diesel smell, must be something to do with Adblue but it is getting worse (38,000K's)

Yer it would freeze sometimes. The adblue is a load of 👎👎 but still rate it as a good van. Brilliant looking. Are you keeping it? Getting another one?

@@abucklife Yes at the mo it will be kept. Apart from the mentioned the van it self is a winner. So well designed and lovely to drive.

I have a 2021 version and the infotainment system is the worst! Always crashing! My van also has a weird smell but only sometimes? It also sounds louder sometimes? Sometimes after higher revs it seems to hum more when idling

How is it 4500 down payment and 280 a month for 3 years
That works out to 15000 but van is 38000 new

It was a business lease purchase. So could never own it but did get the equity in it. Essentially like a pcp so the future value is taken into account. No idea. But I took it. Remember this was in 2021 when rates were better. The best bit is I traded it in a few months ago for my crafter and they gave me £11000 back. 🤯
