For beginners... this is a song that you definitely don't want to be on back in the day.... But it was literally badass to see a pro get A ratings. Dance dance revolution extreme was something that changed the world in arcade. It was like.... ohh my God why couldn't we just junk the controllers and get off of our lazy fat butts and create games that promote actual body health instead of your fingers. Really hope DDR is not thinking about retirement as a series or this would be a huge disappointing situation. There better than going to the gym for God sake
@@saltyyangel i doubt it will anytime soon, a3 just came out recently and i believe ddr is still one of the most popular arcade rhythm games in japan. The machines are pretty hard to get even for arcades outside of japan but the series seems to be going strong.
@@jebbushu711 Sadly, A3 is japan exclusive STILL and wont be coming to America because of Dave and Busters deals going on. A20 Plus is the last of DDR in america for now.
@@Akshuls yeah, sadly im not expecting to see a3 outside of r1 and arcades that run the data. Im just hoping for the best with the next version since rhythm games are pretty popular lately
@@miguel_7515 A crossover is when it's from left arrow to right arrow with a up/down arrow in between. After hitting your left arrow with your left foot, you would want to move your left foot to the right arrow. Same goes for left up right. Your left foot will have to go to the right arrow. For example as well, you have a left down right sequence. After left with your left foot and then down with your right foot, but if you use your right foot from down to right really fast, that's called double stepping. It can be a habit and it can throw your balance off if your not playing as a conserving stamina player, which is a different style of play from what I've seen. With executing crossovers, it's a threshold to get past but good luck.
damn this brings back memories of going to the arcade after school with my friends and spending the rest of the day just trying to get as perfect as we could
I remember years ago attempting this song about 20 times and only completed it twice. The beginning and ending were simple enough but there's a part in the middle that I always struggled with 😩. That was back in the day. I wouldn't attempt it today though, much older now and not as fit 👴lol 😁.
Do it man! As long as you're having fun, age shouldn't stop you from doing what you want. If no one else in your life is gonna encourage you, this random teen on the internet will 😤. NOW DO IT!
At the beginning the camera man says this camera is heavy ! What’s even the point of this !!!!!!! Well many years later we r still coming to see this !!!!🙏🏻🙏🏻
I remember like over 20 years ago, I was the one of the first to full combo this song at our arcade because I knew the same trick that player 1 (left-side player) knew. At 1:22, you see he quickly changes crossover orientation from facing right to facing left. If you don't do this, you'll be caught in a very awkward position at 1:30 where you seem like you either have to turn around or do a double step across the pad with your back half turned towards the machine. Good times.
Brings back good memories! Played this game all through out my highschool years and for a few years after. Loved this song on heavy and exotic ethinc... Love the crossovers. Miss this game alot
I just got my first l-tek pad, and started playing to lose weight. I have not played in about 8 years. I am way out of shape now! I used to ace this song, and now I tire out after half the song. It'll be nice to eventually get back up to playing this without breaking a sweat!
That's because at certain parts of the song, each of them use a different technique for the same steps on those parts. Neither of those techniques/styles are better than the other. Just a matter of preference. But you can certainly see that on most parts that require specific stepping, they go back in sync.
You look like when you grown, you'll be like those 2 mafia goons of a cartoony mafia boss that will insult the someone and you will say “nice one, boss,” and the second, in a slightly higher pitch, will say “haha, yeah, nice one boss!” also I understood entirely what was the Afronova walk, thank you very much

planning to get ddr as a workout since i love rhythm games like osu!mania and stuff, it would suck if ddr retired 😕

you gotta hit those crossovers! this song has the best ones it flows so gooood
I wanna master the afro walk! I've been double stepping, too..for shame.
Where are the crossovers ?

Come to Oxnard, California- Plaza Stadium Cinemas 14. I found a machine that still works 😜 a week ago
yeah me too, i miss ddr here in the philippines too
but it is too expensive now in the philippines. 10 tokens per 3 songs? very expensive. 😔
opinions on the new DDR A3 songs?

DDR Extreme will forever be a part of my youth.
Hey wow ddr is the game that brought every one together. Also the 90’s where the best
I cannot perform this without holding the bar at the back
DDR extreme was the best. Just picked this up for ps2 with a pad at a garage sale to get all nostalgic about high school!
Goddamn, I get goosebumps every time at 0:35 to 0:45. So impressive.

Coordination on lock! Tough 💪🏾👀🦿
Holy shit that was amazing
Used todo this one backwards miss DDR days 😩😩

This is awesome Emilio!
Much respect, since you two play NO BAR at that high level.
