Hi 👋 I’m a new subscriber. Loved the video. What a great hike, very challenging! I bet the legs were tired for a few days afterwards. Stunning views and scenery all round. Have a great summer 😎
Thank you so much for your comment and support, I've one of your subscribers aswell, we seem to enjoy the same things. The 3 peaks walk was breath taking in more than 1 way lol. But I fully recommend it to everybody.
@@stuoutdoors1961 I'm new to this game, it's took me a year to get all my kit together, I now have 4 tents and other stuff that's been duplicated, 2 pillows, 2 cook sets, 2 sleeping bags, the list goes on Stu, I drive but no car, so it's pretty difficult for me to get anywhere from the middle of Birmingham, though I've been to Wales 3 times this year, one to a community camp with a youtuber called Mr wildwales, great weekend. But as I said I'm new, I can't even read a map now as ive forgotten as it was a few decades ago since i was able too, I know I'd get lost walking somewhere 🤣😁
@@IrelandRider I'm very experienced with living outdoors due to yime spent in the Army but I'm new to wild camping and making youtube videos, I also have tight budgets so try to make use of what I've got all year round, every piece of kit should have more than 1 use where possible in my opinion, for example my dry sack keeps kit dry when in my backpack and my down jacket keeps me warm, but I combine them to make a pillow at night. If you want to catch up on your map reading skills, I have a few videos on the channel that might help.
@@stuoutdoors1961 I have watched a few videos on the 6 figure grid reference map reading and that's what I knew how to do, but nothing teaches me better than to do it in person as it doesn't seem to stick in my head just by watching, it doesn't seem to by doing it in person now that my brain seems to of turned to mush haha. Yeah I totally get the watch your budget thing, I'm not in work so it's a saving process for me to wanna go anywhere now mate 👍
@@IrelandRider the key to navigation is practice and confidence, I always advise people to try using a map and compass in their local area, eg when walking the fog on a route you know well take a map and compass to nav the route, that way you know if your doing it right.
