Fantastic Video! I finally have an idea of what a share house looks like and to be honest and it's really awesome. I have a question tho, regarding a share room, are we able to choose whether we can have a double decker bed or single beds? Now i just need to wait for you guys to send me the accommodation request for the October period. Thank you so much for making this, looking forward for more to come! :D

That's a good question! As far as accommodation, we suggest that students be informed that almost always, bunk beds are what is offered. Single bed are usually only included in single rooms, not shared ones. Please feel free to email us if you have further questions! :)

How do u pay for the rent? Credit card or do u open a bank acc in japan

    • @GoGoNihonGo

Hey Winnie, thanks for your comment! Most landlords (especially for share houses) do accept credit cards! The only reason you may need to open a Japanese bank account is if you plan to work part-time, as *some* companies require it (but not all)! Hope this answers your question :)

Hey Matthew! Actually, we can only assist with the application to schools and accommodation that we're partnered with on our website. We support some amazing schools across Japan, please check them out here: gogonihon.com/en/language-schools !

cleopatra I think I read on their website that couples weren’t allowed to live in a share house but they do offer renting an apartment. You guys could split the costs for the rent :)

Go! Go! Nihon Live & Study in Japan Then its very expensive. Renting a private room outside, cost the same but comes with own private toilet, bathroom.

It depends on where and how big the apartment is. You're not going to find such a cheap apartment close to big stations unless there's some big downsides to it lol. The typical price of an apartment not too far from a station is at LEAST around JPY70,000 and up. Additional to getting a room you also get to mingle with other foreigners and Japanese people. I'd say this is actually a really great price.

Additional to that the price is consistent for every month. In an apartment your bills can get higher or lower depending on your use of water/electricity/wifi
