You know that inflation doesn't care about presidents, right? It's the FED that is responsible for the inflation. All the stimulus packages and other excessive spending of the covid era combined with low interest rates (that were put in place to stimulate the economy) led to a massive increase in money supply that slowly manifested in actual inflation. This was a ticking time bomb since 2020. The congress and the trump admin spent money like crazy and they borrowed trillions (sold federal bonds). The FED then bought these federal bonds with essentially newly printed money (that's called quantitative easing). That caused the near doubling in M1 money supply. When this money eventually made its way into people's pockets, they started spending like crazy (that's why there was a 2021 stock and crypto boom) and eventually, due to high aggregate demand caused by people suddenly having money, this led to businesses raising the prices. This is why there was an increase in inflation even during last months of the Trump presidency. Biden then came in and this trend continued because there was literally nothing stopping it (the FED only started raising interest rates in 2022 and biden admin continued with the covid-era increased spending). The situation was similar all over the world. Everyone wanted to just get back to business and no one really wanted to raise interest rates whilst the world economy was still overcoming covid and supply-chain issues. Inflation was on a fairly slow rise and then suddenly the invasion of ukraine happened. The rise in oil, natural gas, grain and other prices compounded with the previously mentioned demand-pull inflation and that is the reason why inflation got so bad. Biden is complicit but so it the congress, the FED, Russia, other countries that wanted to stimulate their economies, and to some extent even businesses.

We never went to war with Russia, the war in Ukraine only spiked European gas prices as a result of the sanctions. Which mattered fuck all because the Chinese proceeded to buy Russian oil and gas, then sell it to the west. Imports of goods from Ukraine or Russia were already offset by how dependent the US is on Canada and Mexico. Ukraine’s exports of wheat and grain don’t even affect the US. So none of those factors even affect the American economy. What other “basic factors” do you think influenced the economy?

You know that inflation doesn't care about presidents, right? It's the FED that is responsible for the inflation. All the stimulus packages and other excessive spending of the covid era combined with low interest rates (that were put in place to stimulate the economy) led to a massive increase in money supply that slowly manifested in actual inflation. This was a ticking time bomb since 2020. The congress and the trump admin spent money like crazy and they borrowed trillions (sold federal bonds). The FED then bought these federal bonds with essentially newly printed money (that's called quantitative easing). That caused the near doubling in M1 money supply. When this money eventually made its way into people's pockets, they started spending like crazy (that's why there was a 2021 stock and crypto boom) and eventually, due to high aggregate demand caused by people suddenly having money, this led to businesses raising the prices. This is why there was an increase in inflation even during last months of the Trump presidency. Biden then came in and this trend continued because there was literally nothing stopping it (the FED only started raising interest rates in 2022 and biden admin continued with the covid-era increased spending). The situation was similar all over the world. Everyone wanted to just get back to business and no one really wanted to raise interest rates whilst the world economy was still overcoming covid and supply-chain issues. Inflation was on a fairly slow rise and then suddenly the invasion of ukraine happened. The rise in oil, natural gas, grain and other prices compounded with the previously mentioned demand-pull inflation and that is the reason why inflation got so bad. Biden is complicit but so it the congress, the FED, Russia, other countries that wanted to stimulate their economies, and to some extent even businesses.

We never went to war with Russia, the war in Ukraine only spiked European gas prices as a result of the sanctions. Which mattered fuck all because the Chinese proceeded to buy Russian oil and gas, then sell it to the west. Imports of goods from Ukraine or Russia were already offset by how dependent the US is on Canada and Mexico. Ukraine’s exports of wheat and grain don’t even affect the US. So none of those factors even affect the American economy. What other “basic factors” do you think influenced the economy?

Inflation rising 8% doesn't mean your dollar can now buy you 8% less. Especially these days, every company is trying to make money, yk profit off you and they can't do that selling the same amount of stuff for the same price as before.
But that is not the only problem that has the economic state shaky. Production prices have increased massively, y'all are not going to be as heavily affected as other countries currently are because your production chain for one doesn't rely as heavily on the ukraine as other's.
The US is pretty much right on schedule for some kind of financial crisis and I'm convinced that it could be worse for y'all. And a different president who isn't financially flush enough to prop up your economy probably wouldn't have changed much either, unless military spending would've been cut, which would've probably caused an uproar with a war going on.
