i love how this game uses the expectations of others to wear down the main character and show how even though he wants to save everyone, some things are out of his control and he was forced into the position of the hero

Whats also amazing about the game is the sound design (and by extension the music). It sounds great for as simple as a Videogame showcasing multiple artstyles.
That ending gives off vibes of: "man, that was a wild toilet break", and i love it.
He just walks out with a lobster arm “man I ain’t buying no weed from the gas station ever again.”

I'm so into the kind of vibes the watcher and that whole universe were giving off...
Right? The shrouding darkness with just that bit of light reminds me of Blighttown from Dark Souls

I'm amazed at not only how smooth and fluid the animations are, but the unique art style. The very Eldritch/Alien designs and how unique the chase encounters are.
Even with just the Cave Dweller it moves like a living animal and will lunge or bite down things in it's path to get to you.
It feels very innovative. The Watcher twist and Electric eel twist aswell were really nice for a change. The circle king encounter was pretty funny. I was half expecting the squares to become the oppressors in return. The Collage boss chase kinda gives me Happy Wheels vibe.
There's clearly alot of love that has gone into this game.
The Watcher was the scariest boss and the twist in the encounter I did NOT expect.

I'm very fond of media that is overall pretty cheerful that just occasionally decides to be really fucking creepy for no real reason at all. Also that soundtrack is absolutely beautiful.

I think you would like bugsnax. Quite literally the concept of what what you said everything is cute but at the end it... Especially if you did the DLC and got the secret stuff unlocked shit goes south as you learn the truth.
literally undertale's (pacifist and neutral) final boss. omega flowey. literally the same thing. LITERALLY THE SAME THING. (except that you run from the final boss in this game, not fight like in undertale.)
Something about the final level and the protagonist still jumping of to the next planet even though its not visible on screen kinda hits in the ‘leap of fate’ gut

The cave dweller is a chase scene
The watcher is more strategy
The eel is bullet hell
The yeti incorporates stuff from the rest of the level more than any other boss
King circle is shapist
The giant mosquito (not a queen bee) isn’t really a boss
And finally, the chaos collage is also a chase scene.

Am I the only one that noticed the fact that the music gets more distorted if you're closer to the collage boss? Also I want a lobster claw hand.
this somehow gives me Everything, Everywhere, All At Once vibes. The concept of multiverse + the collage monster turning people into different objects (similar how Jobu Tupaki and Evelyn transforms objects using multiverse jumping/techniques). The monster also talks about chaos and state of disarray (can also be represented by the Bagel that contains all things which makes it a compressed energy of chaos)
At the part where the watcher was nice was awesome where he opened the door for them 😊

@@mysterykitsune563form it name it probably just guardians of the temple and the mc is near the exit make it think/know that mc want to escape the temple and enter the temple by accident so it let mc escape after all watcher actually means the one who watch so it just watch around the temple potentially a guardian

this is one of many games to make a queen bee boss that's actually a queen bee
and not some humanoid being with an appearance of a drone with feminine body structure

I love how he’s trying to save people some he fail some he made but all I’m saying is all thos that he met along the way thanked him and won’t forget the man that tried to save the multiverse the ending tho got me tearing up it’s like idk why I’m talking about how my dad was cheating on my mother for 3 years and they almost broke up 6 time it’s getting worse and worse but you never know he could’ve learned a lesson dad if you see this just know I love you bye
This game is nuts. Multiple art styles, multiple mediums. Original creation after original creation. And then... beuty. The most beautiful ending I've seen in a good long time.

I find it interesting that when the main character get effect with the randomness, his arm is the lobster claw, which as it said before, means that he was a hero, as show here: 17:18
I love how the game is representing the purpose and meaning of the art styles. Like the Watercolor world: bright colors, but mostly a literal "water world". Or the Pen & Ink world: basic art style using the shapes to start off as the base. Even the Collage world: mixed and random patterns of paper into one, chaotic art.
Though, what I do like is the Acryllic art. I think it's more like my kind of art style since whenever I draw something, my mind keeps imagining a natural environment...like Bob Ross's arts!

i think its a nice ending! im pretty sure the main character was traveling through the different paintings in the museum, trying to get back to his own. and it seems like he did at the end :)

@@KrispyRodent I take it as a silent acceptance of his place in the grand scheme of things. At first, by traveling to a multitude of worlds, seeing and doing a plethora of things, his sense of grandiose piled up, eventually bursting into a self-centered telltale that he believed was true. After the encounter with the Collage Monster, it's clear that everything took it's toll on him and after the last world, it seems to me that he found hopeful solitude in his place in the universe. He tried to be something he was not and things got awry because of his actions, so in the end he understands and accepts that there's nothing he can do about what's happening out of his control, that there are forces beyond his grasps and that there's no real big purposes at all, but there's still meaning in being a singular and unimportant part of this cycle by, quite literally, just being there occupying the space.
