Friday Night Funkin' (often abbreviated to FNF) is an open-source rhythm game first released as a demo in 2020 for a game jam. The game is developed by a small group called The Funkin' Crew Inc., with the four founding members being the Newgrounds users Cameron "ninjamuffin99" Taylor, David "PhantomArcade" Brown, Isaac "Kawai Sprite" Garcia, and evilsk8r. The game shares some gameplay features with Dance Dance Revolution and PaRappa the Rapper and borrows aesthetic influences from Flash games. The game has been credited with driving users back to Newgrounds, a site whose popularity peaked in the early 2000s. SingStar Challenge is a Friday Night Funkin' mod based on the life of the infamous Christian Weston Chandler, better known as Chris Chan, as he navigates a life of dirty trolls and boyfriend-free girls, in the pursuit of true and honest love. You see, I've had enough. Everyone has had enough. No more.. of you.. and your "dates".. and your "e-mails" No more "sweetheart searches".. No more nothing.
