    Don't mind this RUclips algorithm story 🙂
    Sally went down to the seashore to collect seashells. Little did she know that the local fish store, Bulk Reef Supply was also there collecting them to bring to ReefaPalooza Orlando, New York, Chicago, and California to sell as merchandise. Sally couldn't compete with this so she decided to dive into the ocean to collect coral from the coral reefs to sell at the show as a vendor. Aquaculture was now becoming a pillar in the reefing hobby, because all reefers have noticed that Sally was slowly killing the ocean by collecting sea animals to sell without replacing them. Sally also watched this video on how to safely pack and travel with fish and coral to destinations on an airplane. SaltFishTV helped many more reefers in their journey of traveling with live aquatic animals on airplanes, so that they too can purchase that fire coral when they go to coral shows such as Reef-A-Palooza, Aquashella, or local frag swaps and bring it safely home to their reef tank to grow out to become a fire coral colony.

    My LFS had a couple of these and I asked about them as I was on the hunt for Nassarius snails for a while and was informed these are not for me 😅 great video!

    Smooth shells don’t necessarily mean they are predatory. For example, Cowries have smooth shells but are strictly algae eaters. Olive snails, along with harp snails, tun snails, and moon snails are predatory snails that will pounce on other invertebrates and eat them.

    These snails will actively hunt bristle worms. If you don't have the stomach for an Arrow Crab (like me) then a couple of Olive Snails will eradicate the worms if they become a pest 👌

      Good to know! I just wasn’t a fan of them killing my other snails.

      @@SaltFishTV Yeah you definitely sacrifice something by adding them. That's why I only see them as a pest remover when you are in dire need 🔔 Usually I will remove them after they've done their job or just wait until their short life span catches up with them 😅✨

    • @SaltFishTV
      @SaltFishTV  2 года назад +1

      They are not and that’s why I made this video to shine light on the Olive snail. They are not nassarius snails.
