THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I have had many types of inkjet printers since HP stopped making their best printer for photography. It produced awesome prints and I didn't have to monkey around with printer settings and inks were more affordable. I recently got paper samples from Red River and learned a little about printer settings. However, they say you need a top loading printer for thicker papers. I have a 5 year old Canon Pixma that does what I need for now until I learn enough about printers to choose the machine I will need for my art work. I found you at just the right time in developing who I am as an artist and the type of quality work I want to produce. I'm ready to learn and judging from this series on basic printing - You are an excellent teacher.
Hi Jose, great start to the new series. Moving back to Windows after years with Mac so looking forward to the profiles and settings video as I am out of touch with them now and I know they are somewhat different (more extensive?).
Just found your site this am 7/9/16. Rant about not watching ads.I have spent so much time on Camera, lens and technique RUclips sites, I have forgotten all about the most important part of my workflow ...PRINTING.I own a 3800 with an Ink republic Bulk system (works nicely) and soon to purchase another 3800 to convert to a Jon Cone Black and White system. Maybe...it could happen...but ONLY after I review any presentations you have that are pertinent subjects to this idea. Also looking for other ideas for flushing out and cleaning heads that do not require a bunch of $$ to execute..Hope you have those in your RUclips library as well.Glad I found the site. BTW, I watched the entire ad before I watched the #1 Basic Photo Printing Series I am watching #1 as I prepare this comment.Tim
I'm COUNTING on it.I'll be directing my immediate searches to the 3800 Nozzle clogging/unclogging issues, since there is a 3800 ($140) with a slight magenta clog calling out to me. Thanks again
Seem like like magenta is a troublesome color due to it's higher density of pigment. There are many reported instances of clogged magenta nozzles. Good luck with that 3800. But check the number of prints that have been done on it. You can access that information through the LCD screen. Sometimes nozzles become irreversibly damaged as well. I know!!
Is that a matte paper? Is so then chose the only matte paper option in the paper choice options in the PRO-100 driver. I can not guarantee the results.

That would be like me asking you what shows I should buy, I do not know where you are located and I take it you are not in the USA. Since you need scanning I would suggest one of the EPSON L Series printers. They use large refillable ink tanks as well and should provide you more than adequate performance for all your needs.

I have some left over Epson Ultra Presentation paper. What would you suggest for printing on a Pro 100?
