I think it’s a shame that German gets a bad rap because it’s a beautiful language. I’ve been enjoying it and I’ve noticed that since I’ve been working on getting more immersion in the language, it’s boosted my progress. When I’m not working on lessons. I like to either listen to podcasts, the news, and of course Rammstein.
Well, as a German myself I can confirm that when we compare ourselves to the British we really have not much of sense of humour in the traditional sense. What we are best at is irony/political satire or outliers like Loriot or Otto Waalkes. Slapstick humour has never worked, that comedy always falls flat on its face.
@@sreeramanil3902 as a beginner. I’ve read The little prince in German because it’s my favourite book. But I also highly recommend Nico‘s Weg - it’s basically a course based on the movie. You can find the full movie on RUclips, and on DW website you can find a course where you learn German by watching short episodes and doing some grammar and vocabulary exercises after that. I also liked „Dark“ series but it’s not for beginners and not really fun 😄

RUclips recommended this video to me! Very good!
@@PossivelAlgumAnfibio I’m really happy you liked it ☺️
I have reasonable proficiency with German. My biggest problem has been the complex multi-line sentences.
@@dsm2240 wow that’s great 💪 I’m not proficient yet
