I was at the Symposium last Saturday, and it was a blast. Lots of things to see. I don't remember seeing you specifically, but I subscribe anyway. Next year I will stay for both days and take a room. I may even take a table and tie, too. Switch out to Pink Ice Dub, and you are in Frenchie territory. That was my go all last season.

Hey Shorty Tom Puzio here. It was Great To see You at The Edison Show this Morning. Your LOOP Method was Genius. Please post a video of it in the near future.

Sorry I missed this. The technique is demonstrated in my “Hedgehog” video. Hope that helps.

I have been wrapping the pheasant fiber wrapped around the wire and then wrap and rib with mono or tinsel. I never have a PT fall apart anymore. I then make a dubbing loop and twist the peacock hurl and wrap that and never have an issue with the hurl breaking off. I know the dubbing is easier but peacock hurl is fish magic. It is adding maybe 60 seconds ot the fly but it is nearly indestructible.

Awesome! We all do it a little differently and that is why I share. Load the old mental hard drive with as many tricks as possible and retrieve them when necessary. Peace.

@@ShortyOnTheFly I swear I have been fly tying since the early 80s and I always am learning. What makes tying and fly fishing as fun.

Thank you for the informative video! What size bead heads do you use?

7/64 for 14, 3/32 for 16, and 5/64 for 18. Those are not etched in stone. I may vary them a bit if using scud style hooks.

What is the name of your vise? I need to upgrade my beginner one. Thank you

I use a Regal Revolution. It is a bit pricey but you will never have to buy another one.
