She is breathtaking! A true star🌟👑She deserved so much better! She had massive potential and talent! A shame that they didn’t take better care of their golden gymnast 💔can’t believe her career was cut short. She could’ve beat them all one by one❤️🔥Poor beautiful angel ✨🤍👱🏼♀️
Whenever I watch the performances of Elena I get so upset and angry with how bad she was treated and not listened to when complaining to her trainer. She was an amazing talent and if those around her would have been far more understanding to her requests she would have taken even more Golds for the Soviet Union than she’d already done. She would also not have had her world taken from her and would very likely still be with us today.
If she had broken her leg again, she would have missed the Olympics but recovered and had a life (marriage/kids) like her teammates. Instead she probably spent 26 more years as a recluse in her apartment. She held on until her grandmother died, and then let go. So tragic.
I can only express my deepest gratitude for the world to provide me with such a free spectacle. Watching how gracefully this girl moves around is one of life's few breathtaking delights.
She was about a year older than me. I’m now 63. It’s so awful what the Soviet system did to her. Such a needless accident. She died so young. God bless her memory.
@@Елена-н5и I don't know what the other poster watched, but I watched Elena win the 1978 World Championships LIVE on tv. I had seen Elena before on pre-recorded tv segments for the 1977 Europeans and 1977 World Cup competitions. She became my most favourite gymnast and still is.
Ella era capaz de lograr ese fatídico salto que le costó la vida. Pero ella arrastraba una lesión anterior. De no ser por eso ella nunca ubiese fallado
Not as hate, but my opinion, her movements are just little a little bit weaker compared to the Worlds championship, for example the jump in the beginning.
@@elena_mukhina_flip Yes. I know, but maybe she was just tired in this competition and in Worlds Championships more stronger, focused and stable because she was pursuing to go Olympics.

I can't even imagine doing a full twisting double back on that floor!

It’s sad, especially your last sentence. I wish she were still alive today.

She would have become an outsdanding contemporary dancer! High musicality in her movements.
Love it! Excellent video quality! Elena forever!
Glad you liked it!!
Excelente actuación, la mejor. La amo! ❤ siempre en nuestros corazones.

Awesome routine, apart from the obvious mistake
You're right!
Amazing, really that she attempted it on that dead floor
Where can i find music??
It’s the original piano music in the video.
@@elena_mukhina_flip А автора этого музыкального произведения Вы знаете ? И название?
@@Елена-н5иare you from Russia? The original music is Lara’s Theme from Doctor Zhivago:

Where’s the spring loaded trampoline floor?
I don’t think there’s spring floor for artistic gymnastics in the 70s. She was performing on the hard concrete floor.

I don’t understand what you said.
She seems little bit off here
What do you mean by “a bit off”?
Not as hate, but my opinion, her movements are just little a little bit weaker compared to the Worlds championship, for example the jump in the beginning.
Understood. It’s because the full-twisting double back was a very difficult movement. She was the first female to do it on the non-spring floor.
You can say that her performance wasn’t very stable sometimes because of the extreme difficulty of movements and her persistent injuries.
