Khadija and HennaSooq helped me keep most of my hair through some physical trauma. I lost a baby at 20 weeks. It still hurts everyday. I started to get some severe postpartum hairloss + bloodloss and enough antibiotics to disinfect a rhino. All the postpartum none of the getting to bring the baby home 😢. I started to use henna to try to help keep my hair from falling out more. I've always been very proud of my hair and it was coming out in handfuls. I tried cassia first but then graduated to henna. I used the henna every 3 weeks or so and added some to my conditioner. It helped keep me from going bald. It was a very hard time. I still have my hennaSooq henna poo bar. I use it very sparingly. I love the volume it adds to my textured hair. My hair is naturally thick dry and wurly. Very coarse like my grandma's so the henna poo bar works well. Especially on my roots. I try not to shampoo my hair more than once a week. Its prone to drying. Anyway, l love HennaSooq.

@@sarahlo-a-njoe4742 I I believe you mix the aloe vera powder with the Henna but the aloe vera powder mask by itself I don't think khadijah recommend that but check with her
Let me tell you.......adding aloe vera to the henna was definitely a game changer. My hair is so much more moisturized after washing out the henna. Thank you for this! I just have one question. How often should one use henna?
Hello! Henna treatments like powder, glosses, color treatments, and masks can only be repeated every 3-4 weeks. Color usually every 4-6 weeks and root touch-ups in between.
Hi, i have been using henna-indigo on grey hair for past 2-3 months. I do get the desired color but it starts to lift off from roots with in a week. I wait before shampooing at least 48 hours after henna-indigo (2 step process) Can you please suggest what do i need to do? Thank you

I'm a new customer and really appreciate your videos and other resources 😄You mentioned sugar. What kind of sugar do you use and would honey give the same results?
Usually fructose sugar. But honey is good too. It does act as a natural humectant but depending on what you’re using it can act as a natural hydrogen peroxide.
Thank you for your informative video and I look forward to buying your products. I'm glad you mentioned about certain ingredients pulling out the henna colour. I've found that caster oil (my usual go to oil) has pulled the colour off my grey hairs especially- turning them from dark around to orange (even tho I waited a week for the henna to settle on my hair before applying caster oil). I need moisturising without it affecting the henna so much. Henna left my hair so dry (first time user). In your experience, does argan oil pull the colour? Thank you!

Hello, thanks for all the informative videos, I used Indigo{as finalstep} to cover my greys, I rinsed it out thoroughly but I have not followed it with shampoo or moisturiser, it's been 10 days. Have I done any damage? I did moisturise with Aloe vera gel when I had rinsed out the Indigo, Please advise.
Hey Khadija, I put Moroccan Henna mixed with aloe vera and fenugreek powder. Its been about an hour and I am using my heat cap right now. So far I have used it for 15 minutes on then turned off and cooled down for about 5 minutes and 15 on again. But I plan to sleep in it. My end are bleached from last June and when I added the henna mix the color was sooo gorgeous! Instantly! It was golden honey blondish. I just hope that if I sleep in it will it make the bleached ends darker. I don't think it will be I am not sure. Nevertheless I'll try to remember to come back and let you know how it turned it. Or maybe I'll come to the store after the color has settled so you can see it in person. 🥰🤗 P.S. Can I make a clove tea rinse and use it when I shampoo in 3 days? I decided to rinse it out later tonight.
In a previous video you mentioned using heat cap or dryer with the application of henna. What is the best dryer setting; low or high heat setting? Also, you said argan or jojoba oil could be added to the henna mixture; in what amounts? Is there something I can apply directly to my hair prior to henna application, like rose water, to my hair? Also, is organic Damascus rose powder useful to help reconditioning moisturize the hair after the henna application?
The low setting is best. You can add about 10% of oils to your recipe. You can apply something to your hair before color but why are you doing so? You may have to try the rose powder afterwards. We've never had a use to do that so we really don't know the results after. Using our hair wash is the first step, then the henna or ayurvedic treatment and then use our cleansing cowash.
hello! i recently bought the moroccan and applied it i really like and i was doing some i just wonder why there isn’t katam in your store :( its kinda sad because i really like the quality of your products and i was looking to found it there
Katam is great and we used to have it but you currently can't order from Yemen. Importing from that country is banned in the USA so we can't get it. Our Organic Indigo gives the same type of results.
I have natural blonde 2c type curls! First thing But they were only ever when i used very lightweight, products. But silly me! I used rice water on my hair i used it wrong left it on too long, and now my hair is fried. It is hoarse, knots the whole time, should i try to shampoo it out? Could i use a natural shampoo every 2 days to get it out, will it ever go???
What do you add the sugar for? You said texture, are you adding it to the henna or indigo? Is that something I should be adding to my 2-Step henna and indigo routine? I'm adding salt and aloe vera to my indigo that's right right? Of course I'm adding aloe to henna. Am I missing anything else any other tips? I also cleaned up on the 50% off sale and I'm making a beautiful basket gift for my aunt.
Thank you so much!!! You’ll love all the products and your aunt will be so happy!!!! Sugar is only for the texture but it’s not really necessary. I find the aloe Vera powder did that enough to help make the texture smoother. I might leave out sugar moving forward.
If I am doing a two step process with henna and indigo, can I use the co wash between steps to wash out the henna before applying the indigo? Or should I just use it after washing out the second step indigo?
I do the 2 step method and I use Henna Sooq conditioning cowash to rinse out the henna before I put the Indigo in, I like to make sure all the henna is completely rinsed out before I do the 2nd step of applying the Indigo. I do this ever time I colour my hair and have had no problems with the colour adhering, it's had no affect on it whatsoever, I've actually only just coloured my hair today! 😊
Will aloevera leaf process at home work if I can't find the powder, sorry doing my hair for the first time and I want to nail this. I've read and seen other posts that be prepared to die my gray and white hairs 2 times to make sure the black takes place. Is there a kit I can buy for thinning long black hair?
I use the gel from my aloe vera plant for either henna only or henna-indigo mix and my coily kinky is always soft afterwards. I scoop out the gel and blend before adding.

Hi there was wondering the order of use of the products. Like cowash, gloss, clay ect. If instructions say rinse, does that mean just water or with shampoo or cowash? I'm so happy to have tried the cocoveda masque. Only wish I knew if it should have gone on before henna or after/both. About 5days after henna is what I did. Love the softness. I have so many product. just really don't want to waste them. So happy I'm starting my journey with Henna Sooq.
That all sounds amazing! SO a good regimen would be to color your hair, but first prewash with the hair wash we have, do your treatment and then the final step is to use our CoWash to wash and add moisture back to the hair. Then every 4-6 weeks you would color. A gloss and deep conditioning can be done in between. Every 2-3 weeks generally. Did you have any other products you're using from us, you want to schedule in your regimen?
@@HennaSooq it seems I need to order a lot more stuff. Still trying to figure out my porosity. Oh! Gloss then deep condition with the cocoveda or different order. I have the goddess and the rajasthani. unsure if it will help to keep my natural red hair and few gray roots from being so orange from the red raj. Thanks for getting back.
I have very dry combination hair. Long hair. Dark brown and wavy in the back, grey dry and frizzy in front. I look a mess. My first henna didn’t cover my greys.
Adding aloe powder to your henna will definitely help with dryness. Using coconut oil can possibly remove henna hair color, depending on how heavily you are using it.
@HennaSooq I la e a fresh leaf of an aloe plant I know to Har edt the internal aloe you trim the bottom, drain off the yellow discharge, trim the barbed edges, and use a fi e k one to release its gel from top/bottom of the skin. Can i use its gelatin in my henna mix. I don't have powder I need to do my hair
Aloe vera powder or gel does not give my henna mix moisture. Molasses works well though. Since you're using aloe and sugar - two humectants, maybe that's why it's not drying. So, aloe might work with molasses or honey if I run out.
My henna color has faded so quickly, especially on my grays. Should use a different henna (I used the Jamila & Indigo)? Also, when does the Moroccan collection comes out?
HennaSooq it faded in two weeks. I did full henna on 1/18. I have a clear line of new growth (halo) around my frame. I already know I need more Indigo to get it browner.
noirprncess okay perfect. Yes definitely try our Red Raj and I forgot to answer the Moroccan Collection comes out as a soft launch February and official March.

Hello. You can create a spritz to moisten hair strands as needed or use as an overnight treatment by applying it to your hair overnight and washing it out in the morning.
Oh hi Kadija, thanks for the reply . You know I'm using hot oil a lot but I use henna every two weeks but only for the roots because I have gray hair a lot like all my roots I don't know how to control it
Honestly it depends on your hair needs. I would recommend you try a before and/or an after oiling. You’ll have to see what your hair likes best in learning how to do your hair yourself. It’s okay either way but it comes down to what your hair likes best and how it responds.

What about henna recipes that include olive oil and coconut milk? Is it ok to add these all together with aloe powder? I'm sure it can't hurt just checking
Hi! We did a couple of deep conditioning recipes with shea butter, and cocoa butter, which you can use coconut milk instead. You can add all of these with aloe vera powder as well. Olive oil is great too! It's all DIY so as long as your hair loves it, and you have the hair focus you have in mind (because you want certain end results) then you are good.
Hello! You might need to use and add indigo to your recipe and color it again like this: hennasooq.com/blog/complete-guide-how-to-color-your-hair-with-henna-and-indigo/
HennaSooq Thank you. I placed my order for Zizyphus. I don’t have it yet. But I do have Amla powder and Aloe Vera powder. I do need to henna my hair again The gray is taking over.
Hello! I have been coloring my hair with Henna and Indigo to turn my gray hairs....initially it was to turn my hair back black but it always turn the reddish color. I dont know what im doing wrong that it wont turn black. Second question, my toughest hairs to turn the reddush or black are the hairs around my face/temple/side burn area...please help me with these issues. I really appreciate it!
Hello! Are you doing a two step process? Use henna at 50/50 of each henna and indigo in your first step and then in your second step do indigo alone for best results. This should really help. Make sure your applications are also every 4-6 weeks.
Is your cocoaveda hair oil for in between times of hennaing your hair? Will it add color?... cuz I’m thinking that henna is breaking off my hair... maybe cuz I used a black one from my normal brown color...?? Sooo discouraging... but I like the henna color!... any help?😊🤗
Sara Isak oh no! Sorry to hear. Have you tried any herbs that will help more so for hair growth and hair thickening? A little more focused rather then just henna alone?
My hair fell out bad with henna but I now know I need aloe please moisturizer steam moisturizer steam moisturizer and steam you’re hair get that moisture in or you will lose you’re hair it set me back a year worth of growth but now I know hope this helps someone.
Thanks for the tip. I'll definitely look into it. Sorry some of the videos had low quality for the volume. I wonder why...but maybe I just need a good microphone.

Hi, it's me again, so 1 how to control my gray hair, because after a week I can see the gray 2 I use hot oil every two weeks after using henna and then every other day just oil. 3 yes I use henna for the root touch up but now I add aloe vera powder and gel and also I add green tea or black tea.
Which henna are you using? It sounds like your hair grows really fast. It’s hard to make your hair stop growing. But if you feel it’s fading out more then just growing out then you may need to switch your shampoo and conditioner to something more gentle like ours. Is your hair short by chance as well?
@@HennaSooq I have had the same problem of not being able to hold the black indigo for long. I have added salt, not applied oils or conditioner for a few days as tips to help the dye stick. I am yet to try adding indigo to the henna in a 2 step indigo colouring. I do get orange grays from the henna and you did say to add indigo to the henna. I was not sure if I was to add the powders together but looking through some of the other videos I realised I have to mix seperately then combine to get a darker henna colour. Do I then go ahead and apply my indigo after completing the henna with a little indigo step? How much indigo am I adding to the henna. (ratios please!) to get a darker henna??? Also for future reference,, is there a particular henna you could suggest I can try for a darker red if I did not want to do a brown colour then indigo? Thank you for your patience and your time...hopefully you can answer all my questions 🙏🏾♥️
Hello Khadijah, I love the information that you give in your videos. However, like a lot of your subscribers I have a lot of trouble covering my grays with the 2 step henna-indigo process. I see where you suggested to one person to use Red Raj henna because it is a stronger henna. Hence my question, is it the henna that’s the problem as my gray hairs turns into that golden copper color they the henna gives, or is it the indigo that is not covering the gray hairs that have turned copper?
Lynn E cowash that we carry for the final step, is definitely is what we recommend. Conditioners even if it’s a plain conditioner still are used as cowashes too. A coWash means using a conditioner as a wash out without using shampoo.

Amen to the aloe vera powder I do not do a treatment without it's a game changer and that's on life
🙌🙌🙌
Do you mix the aloe vera powder with the henna or can you do a aloevera mask seperated as well?
Is it good to do an deep conditioner treatment after using henna or cassia?
Hi, i have been using henna-indigo on grey hair for past 2-3 months. I do get the desired color but it starts to lift off from roots with in a week. I wait before shampooing at least 48 hours after henna-indigo (2 step process)
Can you please suggest what do i need to do?

Thank you!
Hello. No, Argan oil doesn't pull the color.
It was hard to hear you. The lapel mic would really help. However, I love, love, love the information you share.
Thank you. Appreciate your feedback. Since then, I did get better equipment so the more recent videos have been much better with sound :)
Thanks for still doing this.

Can I use aloe vera gel instead ?!
Can I replace aloe vera powder with aloe vera gel/water?
P.S. Can I make a clove tea rinse and use it when I shampoo in 3 days? I decided to rinse it out later tonight.
Hey my bleached ends are pretty orange right now. But overall it's pretty. I'll see how it looks in 3 days. I might come to the store b4 the 3rd day.
Are apricot kernal and sweet almond oils color safe for henna and indigo hair or will they cause fading?
What about argan?
Heavy oils can cause your henna to fade faster! You want to use light oils in your hair to maintain that color.
hello! i recently bought the moroccan and applied it i really like and i was doing some i just wonder why there isn’t katam in your store :( its kinda sad because i really like the quality of your products and i was looking to found it there
Katam is great and we used to have it but you currently can't order from Yemen. Importing from that country is banned in the USA so we can't get it. Our Organic Indigo gives the same type of results.
HennaSooq oh! i understand , thank you very much for always take time to answer me ! gonna try indigo c:
I have natural blonde 2c type curls! First thing But they were only ever when i used very lightweight, products. But silly me! I used rice water on my hair i used it wrong left it on too long, and now my hair is fried. It is hoarse, knots the whole time, should i try to shampoo it out? Could i use a natural shampoo every 2 days to get it out, will it ever go???
Wow! I just join your channel, thank you so much for this!❤️
Welcome!
Hi mam, is there natural conditioner that we can use after henna and indigo application to moisturize hair.
Can we use alovera gel?
Does your Ayurvedic Hair Oil have a base oil or does it only contain the ingredients listed on the website?
Hi thank you for your video! How soon I can apply oil on my hair after indigo treatment?

Hello. About 5-7 days after. Just nothing too heavy so it doesn’t pull the color out.
Will you be at the World Natural Hair Show this year in Atlanta? 2019?
Yes, she was there. Saturday and on Sunday.
Yes we'll be there this year, 2020.
So oiling after coloring hair won’t strip the color?
If I add the aloe powder to the henna in my mix, will that allow me softer less dry hair?
I have very dry combination hair. Long hair. Dark brown and wavy in the back, grey dry and frizzy in front. I look a mess. My first henna didn’t cover my greys.
Adding aloe powder to your henna will definitely help with dryness. Using coconut oil can possibly remove henna hair color, depending on how heavily you are using it.
I desperately need to know: can I ise freshly Har ested aloe gel instead of powder???
I don’t understand your question. Please elaborate.

I am new to henna. Can I put coconut oil to soften my dry brittle hair? I was told that any oils would cause the color to come off on my pillow.
Yes coconut oil is heavy and can cause the color to come off
Aloe vera powder or gel does not give my henna mix moisture. Molasses works well though. Since you're using aloe and sugar - two humectants, maybe that's why it's not drying. So, aloe might work with molasses or honey if I run out.
Hi. How much aloe vera powder do you use with your henna and indigo?
Typically about 5% aloe vera to any recipe which is about 1 tsp per 100 grams used.
@@HennaSooq can aloe vera powder be added to Indigo?
My henna color has faded so quickly, especially on my grays. Should use a different henna (I used the Jamila & Indigo)? Also, when does the Moroccan collection comes out?
Our Red Raj is a much stronger henna. You can try Red Raj instead. How fast do you find it fading? Or is it new hair growth? Is your hair short ?
HennaSooq it faded in two weeks. I did full henna on 1/18. I have a clear line of new growth (halo) around my frame. I already know I need more Indigo to get it browner.
Forgot to add my hair length is between collarbone & APL.
noirprncess okay perfect. Yes definitely try our Red Raj and I forgot to answer the Moroccan Collection comes out as a soft launch February and official March.
I heard a you tuber say Amla should be used every two weeks. Is that true? If so, how often to apply Amla oil to hair?

Hello. You can create a spritz to moisten hair strands as needed or use as an overnight treatment by applying it to your hair overnight and washing it out in the morning.
Oh hi Kadija, thanks for the reply .
You know I'm using hot oil a lot but I use henna every two weeks but only for the roots because I have gray hair a lot like all my roots I don't know how to control it
Sara Isak how to control which exactly? How often do you use a hot oil treatment? You use only henna for a root touch up?
Hi, I am confused. Do I apply hair oil right after applying Henna or right before Henna?
Honestly it depends on your hair needs. I would recommend you try a before and/or an after oiling. You’ll have to see what your hair likes best in learning how to do your hair yourself. It’s okay either way but it comes down to what your hair likes best and how it responds.
I get boils after applying henna .. can u tell me why?
oh my!! are you allergic maybe? Which henna and indigo are you using?
Aloevera powder only?Aloevera Gel will be ok?coz Aloe vera gel is a staple at home😅🙏
Aloe vera powder is better as it's more concentrated whole leaf and aloe gel can dilute the recipe more. You can try it and see though.

1 how to control my gray hair, because after a week I can see the gray
2 I use hot oil every two weeks after using henna and then every other day just oil.
3 yes I use henna for the root touch up but now I add aloe vera powder and gel and also I add green tea or black tea.
Which henna are you using? It sounds like your hair grows really fast. It’s hard to make your hair stop growing. @@HennaSooq I have had the same problem of not being able to hold the black indigo for long. I have added salt, not applied oils or conditioner for a few days as tips to help the dye stick.
So I can cowash after the henna? I thought I had to use pure conditioner then use a cowash after 24 hours.
Lynn E cowash that we carry for the final step, is definitely is what we recommend. Conditioners even if it’s a plain conditioner still are used as cowashes too. A coWash means using a conditioner as a wash out without using shampoo.
