The river was changed forever when Helene dumped 10 billion gallons of water on the MTS, water, wind, trees down, people missing, homes destroyed, having fun on the river needs to take a back seat for some time, this place needs to heal the people need love the most
Got flipped off by yakkers and rafters more than I can count when riding the rails up the gorge. Can't take them serious and as someone else said...sit back and let the RR build. Have your fun after the work is done and stay out of the way.
I appreciate your assumption, but it's misunderstood criticism Everyone on this scouting mission is local and has been very active in the rebuilding efforts in Erwin and Poplar, and is part of the non-profit Nolichucky Witness. So, take your disgust elsewhere.
This is an unfortunate misunderstanding of the point of this video. The boating community has been there helping in every way possible since day one, and the mission continues. Search and rescue, relief aid delivery, reconstruction, you name it.. We wish this wasn’t a crucial part of the mission, but it’s vital to make sure this happens lest a tragedy happens again more severely. All we ask is oversight and the following of federal and local laws. The community is at risk as is our industry. This is our water supply, our livelihoods, our lives. Thank you Paul for helping us spread the word. We are eternally grateful
A big thank you to the boating community for protecting the river! If it wasnt for them CSX would probably destroyed this wild and scenic river during the rebuilding process. I'm glad to see that the lawsuits have been filed to keep all agencies in check. Thank you SUPPAUL for the video!
@@TrailRiderTN Those lawsuits are laugable. The agencies named will likely not exist in a few more months and the regulations they preside over are likely moot due to the Chevron ruling by SCOTUS. CSX could easily prevent anyone from even accessing the gorge by foot in the future if they are met with too much whining.
@SUPPAUL Hilarious, you've all been helping so much that you had time to paddle down the river, take video, edit it and post it. Right, I'm the wrong one for saying something! No worries, unsubscribed!

Thank you for sharing this
CSX is building back better.

I hope no clams were harmed in the production of this video!
Clams? You mean mussels?
@ It was a smart-ass comment!
CSX will never be able to do to the river what nature did to it. Stop trashing CSX
The flood destroyed the river it will take decades to get back the way it use to be
@@douglasarrington8461 How is it destroyed? Still looks like a river to me. Maybe you are saying that looking through the eyes of a human.
Love watching rafters break the law by trespassing lol
How very noble of you guys to paddle down the river and complain instead of actually helping out! Disgusting!
