Miss Kaja, big thanks for your video, i love Albania too,i been there and is a special country, people are friendly, food is tasty, nature is beautiful, Albania is rich in history, if you visit in different seasons you see different nice things. I wish you all the best.thanks...
You can do something if you want, tell us the name of the hotel where they are not well behaved because we as Albanian people respect the visitor, which in many European countries is missing I have seen, thank you for coming to Albania and reality as Albania is not as they describe it. Thank you and you are welcome whenever you want in Albania 🇦🇱

Hey travel philosopher Kaja. I hope the Albanian tourism board will acknowledge your work in promoting tourism in their country. I am sure that there will be many tourists coming soon to explore this beautiful country and I hope to be among them. Cheers 🥂☺️
this august saranda had a lot of tourists it was a lot of chaos .I am Albanian myself but I want to say that September is the best time to go to saranda.
It depends in wich time of the year you has been there , im from saranda and last year 2021 we had many tourists from spain french ukraine poland sweden norway etc june july and august are very popular !
Glad you to hear you enjoyed Albania overall. I’m very sorry to hear about that weird experience with that hotel. Indeed that sounds very weird for Albania since most people are very friendly. It must have been just them. If any Airbnb is being weird that should be a red flags because it’s not normal behaviour for Albania so it means it must be that individual owner. So leave that place immediately. The normal behaviour in Albania is that you should go an extra mile to satisfy your guest and this is the norm. So if someone in Albania is not going an extra mile to satisfy you as a guest then that should raise red flags that the person/ hotel etc is not acting normal for Albania
How is it underrated it toom me 2 hours to drive from dhermi to saranda and at dhermi a 10 inch pizza with very little cheese cost me 10 euro in USA I can get ! 12 inch for $6.99 and overall food is very bad and overpriced and most beaches were private so it costs at least 10 euro to 50 euro for 1 umbrella and 2 seats and the water was very good but there there were so many rocks on the beach no sand at all next to our place there was a roveene that brings the trash down to the beach even known there was a government vacation mansion close by and there's no parking so yes it's a beautiful place but the infrastructure is awful and food is also awful and overpriced you're charging italy or Greece proces for garbage that's not worth even 30% so go fix that before you expect international tourists to come
That's your personal experience and opinion. However, many people have had wonderful experiences there. My friend recently visited and loved the food, the sea, and the hotel. Everything was modern, clean, and the customer service was friendly. It's important to understand that Albania is a developing country. They are beginning to improve, so it's unrealistic to expect them to be on the same level as Greece or Italy, which have years of experience in tourism. It will take time, but I'm optimistic because Albanians are hard workers. Regarding prices, have you been to Italy recently? A deck chair by the beach can cost at least €45 per day. Add overpriced food and drinks, and you can easily spend €100 just to go swimming. Despite European laws stating that the sea is public property, Italy has privatized most of its beaches. I live in Switzerland, which has a large Albanian and Kosovo community. Many Kosovars immigrated here after the war in the 90s, and I grew up with many Albanians. Even as refugees, they were always generous, inviting us over and sharing food with smiles and positive attitudes. I wish their country the best in its journey to prosperity because the people are strong and resilient and they really deserve it, even if their government is corrupt.
@HAIRHOLIC_1 it's the fact I just left and I was at several cities beaches are mostly private owned so ypu pay from 10 to 50 euro for a umbrella and 2 seats otherwise you can't go to 90% of the beaches food is awful and it took 2 hours to go 70 km from dhermi to saranda I thought saranda was way better and cleaner but dhermi was 100% trash would never go there again
Thank you for all these beautiful vlogs through Albania and I want to mention something about the thing with the "hotel", places like that are always a problem, not only in Albania and I understand that you just wanted to spend less for the stay but with the prices comes the level of service right? And as you mentioned it was a family business, it's their only way of living and people get upset when "you take their incomes" (this is how they see it) Next time do some more researching about the hotels because it's really important, especially in countries like Albania. Thank you again and keep up the great work!
Wonderful videos! I will be in Saranda in September may I please ask you to share the name of the hotel (the second one 😂) that stayed at please. Thank you so much in advance
It blow my mind Now it's more expensive than Croatia fuel 2.18 euro liter pizza 10 euro coffee 2.5-3 euro olive oil 7.5 euro liter Coca Cola 1.5 liter 1.18 euro Fish at restaurant 10 euro minimum beer 3 euro drink 6 euro
YEs you can get there, they run daily a few times a day from the bus station. It is about 5 hours, is affordable. It is not like a modern country, you will need to be patient and accept stuff is not the same.
I’m going to Saranda next week and wish you’d name & shame the hotel that made you uncomfortable. It would help all the female solo travellers out there.
Sad that it's the last of Albania. Am waiting to see the update of entering Greece because I want to go over there later too, to Athens riviera area. I heard in another year Greece changes some visa regulations. I guess it's sad no more Albania but if it's Corfu then we viewers can probably still see you going in water 🤣
None. There are tons of private air bnb type rentals in the city, far more than there are any hotels. Most of the buildings are half empty in the off season, so travel then. It is good value. We are going in a couple weeks for 3 months. The price is so reasonable. $350 euro a month all included. (Utilities, wifi etc),right on the ocean.
I was thinking on going next summer vacation to Albania but I’ve been watching some videos and even though it looks beautiful I don’t like the fact that I have to pay with cash all the time. It inconvenient for tourists since we have to pay to the bank for withdrawals and then we don’t get points for using our credit cards, so I feel I’m making them a favor and hurting my pocket in the process and why would I do that, maybe that’s one of the reasons people just don’t go, they are not prepared for international tourists. Meanwhile I’ll keep going to Greece or Italy where I can pay with my credit card no problem at all.
That's too bad you would avoid a country for that reason. If you are going to Italy or Greece, you may be getting "points" and saving on some bank fees, but you are paying more in total for your stuff. It's a very shortsighted way of looking at the situation.
Please show more of the locations you are at and talking about and less you talking into the camera. It feels like we're watching a personal diary of yours as opposed to a touristic one. Thanks
I can tell you had a intense confrontation with hotel owner. Albania is probably not so popular because a lot off childrens families hesitate going there, maybe because not in EU, insurance problems with illness, to little marketing of the country, crime?, language barriers, ect...
It's a beautiful place however the infrastructure is not good and they're all out ripoff somehow beaches are mostly owned by private sector so they charge 10 to 50 euro for a umbrella and 2 seats or you can't go there and food is awful and expensive so I definitely won't be back

This is so nice to watch, but to go in Corfu it took only half an hour. Sometimes 1 hours an a half, it depends what boat are you taking.
In off season the prices are far less. So 9 months of the year, while it is not all open, it's even a better value.
