Hi, I have removed the round knob on key side using pin.. But I'm unable to fit it...meaning I can put in place but comes off immediately when u try to use it... Basically knob has not latched properly to assembly. Could u pls advise, How to fix this? Thanks.
I'm having an issue where the key is turning past where it would normally stop to unlock the door, this is causing issues when I go to remove the key from the door it is locking the latch again on the inside. Any ideas what this could be?
in some cases, that issue cause by the twisted spindle, this spindle is coupled or we called it tailpiece of the cylinder., other issue, that causes this kind of problem, is when the retractor is already wornout and it travels further than it should. (if that is the case, you need to replace the lock, since they dont sale spare parts of this kind.)
If it's a twisted spindle, can this be fixed by replacing the latch portion? The lock set is only about 3 years old, so I'm surprised something has work out already.

Nope, you did not...it just happens that the locking pin(we call it retaining pin) of that knob did not slide in to that littlle slot of the knob. Sometimes it mis aligned when the knob is push in..also it happens that the locking pin did not sprung back as it should. So, inspect the locking pin if it sprung out when push in, if it does, align the small hole of the knob in the position where that pin is. Regards.
