I'd say the gdp difference is even more impressive, since it's supposedly a lot harder to actually grow GDP in this version. The obnoxious military overbuilding being tuned down is also a huge relief
There was a reddit post from a modder probably related to this topic. Changes have been made to subsistence farms. Peasants on subsistence farms consume even less goods from your market than before (halfed). But in exchange, Subsistence farms also sell less goods to your market. Less demand in general should make it more punishing if you don’t balance your economy carefully, i think.
any chance you could do a timelaspe with the "smarter ai" mod? its supposed to double gdp of great powers, and massively increase gdp of most lesser powers
Oh, the ai mods are already updated to the new version? Didn't know these modders were quite this fast. I have some ideas about comparing ai mods. Though i will probably give the modders some more time to cook. :)
I wonder how does Canada reach such a high GDP? I don't think it's rich in resources or anything, is it that it produces the most consumer goods out of all economies in british sphere?
I looked it up in 1955 (no canadian civil war). Canada mostly specialised in industrial goods. Their top products: #1 Engines Producer (about 360 Building Levels) #3 Tools Producer (about 600 Building Levels) #3 Steel Producer (about 250 Building Levels) #5 Glass Producer (about 250 Building Levels)
@@DataTimelapses Huh, interesting. IRL would be the other way around I think, colonies only providing raw resources. I wonder if in game difference is because of some AI hardcoding
@@ritabuba4831In a MP game by another RUclips something similar happend because the capitalists of Britain seemed to really like building in the Upper Canada province.
The game is broken, the AI ends the game with almost the same army number it started with. The production methods are also broken, you hardly reduce employees anymore, and the requirements of the population too, for example playing with Spain, a super power with more than 100 million people, the demand for arts was 37. They have also removed the option of managing investment funds. Unplayable expansion

@@ritabuba4831Canada has a TON of resources what do you mean lol????
How did you gather all the data? Did you write a script for it or just manually write down the GDP's every month?
I created my own script to gather thr data. Doing this manually sounds like a herculean task :D

How are you playing to after 1936? Is it a mod or something?
when you reach the end date you can click a button to continue for as long as you want after
Do you scrape the savesgames yourself or is it an available program?
I have my own script for this. No public programm.

Hmmm. Nah
It’d be nice if you spent more time looking at the world after the Timelapse, examining interesting cities etc.
