La VOIX PASSIVE in French // French Conjugation Course // Lesson 46

In French, we use "La voix passive" to shift the focus of the sentence to the second character or the second action. It's always conjugated with Être, no matter the type of verb.

Bonjour Dylane
En anglais américain, la voix passive est généralement mal vue. Par example, un professeur d'anglais corrigerait un étudiant qui écrit "the ball was hit by the boy." Il lui dirait d'utiliser la voix active, "the boy hit the ball."
Ma question: en français, est-ce que l'utilisation de la voix passive est déconseillée comme en anglais, à moins qu'il y ait une raison spécifique pour l'utiliser?

Non, on utilise la voix passive beaucoup plus qu'en anglais. Moins pour des actions comme "the boy hit the ball" mais pour des faits, on l'emploie très souvent.

Great lesson! Just - 4:49 - did you miss S? As it is plural, shouldn't it be: "Ils ont réparés"?

No ils ont réparé is correct. The past participle doesn't agree with the subject with avoir :)
