Wow! Nice vid. I have a Uniden BCT8. And, I had to find someone on the local classified to sell me a USB to the old style serial port plugin (on the scanner). I messed around with the ARC software, but didn't have success. In your case, that's pretty amazing the software is linking up to Radio reference. Just like that! in 2019!!!
I have 2 of the Grecomms and also use ARC programming along with my Radio Reference Pro subscription. Programming at times can be a bit tedious unlike the newer scanners but really not all that bad really.Cheers Fred

Hey man, im in windsor/chatham kent, so I would need digital system. What do you recommend for the most user-friendly unit for programming/using do you suggest? Opp this was is still analog, been programming just the baofeng in the meantime for that. Thanks for this video BTW man!! Cheers and input is greatly appreciated
You only picking up the beat frequency. Mostly for tow truck calls, if you’re using the Baofeng. What frequency are you monitoring exactly? The digital system is trunked. You’re missing 90% of the comms and calls etc. Any digital scanner today is easy to program. Just buy the programming cable and software. The free one is NOT user friendly. Then you will see the talk groups and different divisions or areas talk. How or what do you do? I have 3 base scanners and 12 portables. 4 are digital.
@@kissingbanditt I hear all accidents, B&E, stabbings, ride programs etc. Seems like I hear it all I have 2 freq., 413.5375 for leamington opp, 412.8875 for tecumseh opp on my uv82. Im trying to get on the chatham kent and windsor which will need a digital scanner. As of rite now I'm just up in the error which digital scanner to buy. I dont want to break the bank to much as its just background noise mainly.
You pay for the software what ever the cost is. Then you pay Radio Reference their fee to be able to pair the software and download from RR. So there are 2 payments...Sucks but what can you do, it saves me tons of time.
