- A lot of people were asking me how my suit was made so I'm answering

I’m planning on making a MegaroGoji suit, but im pretty skeptical on what kind of foam to use, I’ve been thinking of using polysterene, but I’m not sure if it will be the best.
Whenever I make stuff like this I usually use poly foam, it’s like memory foam but less memory, I would definitely not use poly sterene, because it’s very hard to shape correctly, and it leaves a huge mess, and the poly foam you can get at almost any craft store or hobby lobby. Hope this helped!!
dude i know im one year late, but since megarogoji (who im also making rn) is pretty active, i'd recomend soft project foam. very flexible and easy to work with, however also easiy tearable so careful

This is epic. I’m trying to figure out how to make one for my 10 year old grandson who’s obsessed with Godzilla! I’m wondering if the suit is super hot with the foam? The last all foam suit I made was horribly hot for him. Can I ask what you used for the inner suit that the foam was glued to? Thank you
Thanks! For this suit, I didn't use any base to glue the foam to, I just made the shapes of the body, arms, etc. In retrospect, It probably would have been a good idea just to make it a little easier to make the shape for the body parts. I have made a few costumes since, one of which I used a long-sleeved shirt and a pair of pants, and that worked well. I suppose it all depends on how much space you would want in the suit.
I’m trying to make my fav Godzilla it’s Heisei Goji but my foam is coming in 08/28
I plan on making a Godzilla suit eventually too. I plan on making it more like the Heisei Godzilla, probably going with 84Goji

Will hot glue work for my suit? because i Cant get contact cement without paying extra to transport it, because i dont live in usa. Also, great work! I love you godzilla suit and the anguirus suit!
Hot glue will definitely work, I just prefer contact cement because of the super durable bond :)

I have a question regarding the arms- How did you go abouts designing them in order to reduce ripping and tearing on them when moving your arms around so fluidly?
This is a problem Im currently facing on my costume.
I saw you're suit and it's incredible! You seriously need more views on your channel.
As for the arms, I knew they would be an issue so I lined where the arms connected to the upper body with cloth. Then i added the detail and latex. The combination of everything holds them together well while still allowing for good movement. They still need repairs every so often but that's just because I'm a little rough on the suit while filming.

Funnily enough thats exactly what Ive done with my arms, and yet they still find ways to rip due my tendency to move them around a lot (safe to say, my suit isnt built for showa-eque movements).

Youre never too young to make a suit! I started this suit when I was 14 and I was still able to do everything myself lol

hey I'm thinking of making a godzilla final wars suit, do you have any tip for making the dorsal plates and how I should look out of the suit
A FinalGoji suit would be sick! You don't see many people attempting that suit design for some reason. For the spines I drew them out on 1 inch thick foam and just cut them out and covered them with latex, although I recommend 1 1/2 or 2 inch thick foam. That way they aren't as floppy. As for visibility out of the suit, it all depends on how well you want to see. For this suit I made a slit in the neck for me to see out of. This allows me to see pretty well (since I was planning on going to G-Fest with this suit), but it shows up on camera. You could go more of the route of the original suits and make a bunch of small holes and it would look better, but you probably wouldn't be able to see as well. Good luck on your suit if you plan on going through with it! I like seeing the suits that other people have built.

I really want to make my own. One problem I am having is that I am still making the concept art for a custom Godzilla.
I've decided not to use my own design, and I'm going to use the 2000/MireGoji design. All I need is materials. I might get them for Christmas. I'm guessing I will get some but not all of the materials I need. I hope I get everything I need.

@@gojifilms2867 foam is what sponges are made of, the suit would sink, after you get it out of the water, the suit would be rendered unusable...

How did you make the hands?
I just cut some gloves so that they had 4 fingers. If you cut the middle and index fingers in half and glue them together youll get great results :)
