This made my whole day. I remember losing my shit back in November when you announced MechaGodzilla and to see it all come together in such an amazing way almost a year later has been amazing! Congrats on the successful cosplay! You've made a Godzilla fan really excited and happy
This might just be one of your most anticipated projects ( at least for me) and seeing it finally finished is just astounding. So much work must’ve went into this and I seriously commend you for it. Awesome job and keep up the incredible work
I always love when you say the last frase, it’s always so dramatic in the good sense of the word. Also love when you say variations like in this video.
It's great to see the result of so much skill and effort. It must be so satisfying to pour so much into a piece of art and then be able to wear it around and show it to people. Incredible!
Quick tip for you Odin. When making a cut into any foam where a sharp point will be made, cut from the fat end towards the point. Regardless of the sharpness of the knife, the cut usually ends up being cleaner. This is because when you enter a cut from the point side, the foam compresses on itself easier on both sides and typically ruins the beginning of the cut line. This is also regardless of which cut side will be used because both cut edges get affected.
Awesome job, Odin! That really turned out great and it's been so cool to see the process from the beginning! I bet you had a lot of fun walking around in it after all that work!
since my childhood I've always been a big godzilla fan, watching classic Mechagoji come to life made my day, so awesome! great work and excited to find out what your next projects are
Seeing you walk around in the finished suit (congrats, by the way) reminds me of the first episode of The A-Team when Hannibal Smith is working as a man in a monster suit for a movie production. He even had a panel that opened in the suit's neck, so that he could see and talk more easily. Congrats again, it really is a work of art.
This is so awesome. As a lifelong Godzilla fan, thank you for doing this. It's funny to think that your cosplay is probably better constructed than the original suit.
That is funny to think about, thank you! The original suit looks like it is a mix of latex cast and handcrafted parts. And I love it when Mechagodzilla does his all out attack on Godzilla and King Caesar- it's the only time his mouth rockets fire, and you can easily see the rocket box they stuck in his mouth for the effect!
I just finished the entire playlist of you making it and finally getting it con ready, what a fantastic suit, and now a fantastic peice to have on display, bravo Odin san!!!!! :)
@@OdinMakes I'm sure I'm not the first person to ask this but would you be interested in making a Sandpersons mask, you could even have some unique touches and it not just be screen accurate, but didn't know if anyone had thought of asking you about it or if you might be interested, either way keep em coming man!!! :)
I saw the whole costume at Sacanime! Was amazing to see it in person as well as all your props on display. Brought a smile to my face especially how these past two years have been to all of us. Great job!!
Awesome man, glad to finally see it come together, but at the same time sad to see it end. Joe's RX-78 was amazing as well and it was awesome to see come together. Hopefully you have other huge projects like these in store.
It feels like an eternity since you first began this build. I gotta say, your patience and perseverance has paid off. The suit looks amazing! I hope to see it in person at a Con in the future.
Seeing this beast in person at SacAnime was one of the best experiences for a G-fan to have. I've always been amazed by the immense creativity that comes from your projects but this? Although I was obviously masked up like everyone else at the con, this put a big stupid grin on my face as soon as I saw it.
"You're mistaken if you think your powers are a match for Mechagodzilla" I love it very much. One of my dream cosplays I love to do for once in a life time.
Me too! I will be taking him to every con I can for a while. But that means I am restricted to cons I can drive to. California and western US states. I should have him at Rocket Con in San Diego next year.
Odin you’re amazing! This has to be the best Mechagodzilla 74 suit ever. I love how ingenious your designs for most of this suit are, like the head being easily removable and being able to tilt up and down, since I don’t think he could in the movie. I honestly like yours better than the movie suit for one particular reason too. The joint accordion pieces. The way they actually flex and are visibly a slightly different material makes them actually seem more realistic and believable to me. Making those rings just look like metal bands that somehow don’t move or flex at all just never seemed as believable to me, and making them flexible and movable like on your suit seems much better. I love seeing this guy walk around too, it’s so cool to see him all together. Definitely do more videos on him if you’re planning to improve and modify this suit later, it would be so damn cool to see what you can add to this epic costume!
Its been a journey but I'm glad i got to see it all come together this build was incredible 🙌 everything really looks amazing together and can't wait to see what mods you do
Wow! So impressive! I've been watching your channel for a while and had a lot of fun following your Captain America Shield tutorial. But this one is beyond me. But so much fun to watch you make!
Finally Mechagodzilla is done. I hope you had a great time at SacAnime 2021. I'm stuck at home this year my local convention was canceled and I'm bummed out about it, but I'm glad you and Joe get to enjoy con season bringing joy to the fans like myself. Keep up the great work Odin i know you're going to improve the cosplay in the future like you and Joe did for his Gundam cosplay. See you in the next video Odin Peace.
i gotta say, i enjoyed this series of build videos, and the end result is an amusing mix of derpy and awesome. kudos for foam smithing and paint, and anything in between
easily hands down the coolest cosplay i have ever seen Odin you are the man as a bigger man myself 6'5" 0ver 400lb and a cosplayer its hard to do size appropriate cosplay not to mention the double some tomes triple the cost curently working on a Thulsa /Dr. Doom mashup
This is so friggin awesome!!! I love this format, of making a huge suit over months. Very curious to see what the next build is going to be. I assume it will be a little while, need some time off from this build I’m sure.
Finally all pieces align in the cosmos to form MECHA GODZILLA
Or Bumble Scorpion
I had the parts for the Bumble scorpion mask assembled on the grid wall at the con!

@@OdinMakes you should try and make Godzilla next like heisei monster verse millennium or Showa era godzilla.
I’m so happy to see the final cosplay and Odin stomping around! Love these big monthly projects and I am excited for whatever is next in store
Finally it's all done. Amazing job Odin. It looks better than the movie suit by far. I can't wait to see what you build next.

Man the suit looks amazing
Thank you!
Love to see the final product! Great work Odin!
Thank you Ken!
This project is freaking awesome!!! One day I will visit a Con over there, and make selfies with you and the team 👍👊
Thank you Ralph!
A certain part of me from my childhood just got beyond excited. Thank you for making the OG mecha g, keep up the great work!
I love seeing your humor starting to come out more and more during the videos as you get more and more comfortable.
Now this… this was a masterpiece. It’s been a absolutely wonderful journey to see this from start to finish. Absolutely incredible!
This came out fantastic! I loved watching all the pieces come together but the full suit is outstanding!!
Thank you Data North!
I’ve said it before and I’ll definitely say it again. This truly is a WORK OF ART!! It’s been so cool to see this progression! 🤘🏽⚡️🤘🏽
