- After dedicating several months to our "Best of" series and then nearly a month devoted to the SHOT Show, we are happy to be back in the saddle and bring you the first review of 2024 and it's a good one! Today we will review the all new AGM Rattler V2 TS25-384 and the V2 TS35-384. Yep that's right, 2 scopes crammed into one review but these are both too great to separate. The AGM Rattlers have become a staple of the small compact thermal market line up but AGM decided to up the ante and make something great, even better. The Rattler V2's feature a super long lasting battery life, better image quality, audio along with the video recording, a high recoil rating and a price point you can't resist. If you're looking for an affordable 384 resolution thermal scope that packs a bunch, check this review out.

*** Why Hunt Hogs? ***
Our journey into wild/feral hog hunting started like many others living in rural communities. We didn't start hog hunting for fun or sport... we did it because we had to. You see, hogs cause millions of dollars of damage and destruction each year in rural communities and our situation was no different. Hogs were destroying our land and that out of friends and family. The vast majority of hunting stories that you hear about on this channel are hogs, boars and sows, taken from family land... this problem is personal for us...

*** Why Hunt Coyotes and Predators? ***
Coyotes and Predators, similar to hogs, cause financial stress for many families in rural communities. Coyotes kill livestock, plain and simple. Ranchers have battled coyotes killing cattle since the early days of ranching and it costs them dearly. Cattle ranching is a business, the cows aren't pets, every time they lose a calf to a coyote those families lose a paycheck. Cattle ranchers hate coyotes just as much as Farmers hate hogs! We hunt coyotes to protect the livelihood of our friends and neighbors that depend on their cattle business to feed their family...

I won't buy anything with a built in battery or proprietary battery. The old Rattler uses CR123 and has C port for using external power bank. They're doing the same thing cellphone companies did, built in battery to sell more phones and make more money. Good for them, not good for buyers
I ordered mine yesterday and shows it will arrive today! Can't say enough good things about Outdoor Legacy's customer service. Ashley took the time to explain the optics i was interested in and helped make my final decision easier.
Does it auto record without a card in it
Just bought the 25-256 V2 at the outdoor show in Harrisburg. Same price as the “V1” but sooo much better. Just couldn’t justify an extra $800 for the 384 and losing base magnification.
The tech talk at the 6 minute mark might as well have been in Greek. . .
That v2. I need it as a monocular. Is it small enough to put in a backpack. Also can battery be removed and use a external pack?
This is my first time looking at a thermal and I was wondering. Is it safe to use during the day? In the desert
Im debating the 50/640 or the iray Mk2 still need to be sold a little more on the agm
Shot activated video is great. How many times have we forgot to hit record in the field. As long as it's activated it records two seperate videos, the SAV version and a version if you hit record yourself. So you get 2 seperate videos of the same thing. Always keep it turned on...
Does it need updates right out the box can I use it without hooking up to internet and can I dis able wifi so it can't b used
I like the hot tracking. It glitches all over whenever there's normally not an animal. When there is an animal, it normally tracked very well.
Can't wait for the review of the AGM Rattler V2 in 640!
Great show again. Just a thought. I had to order a suppressor based on just research. No one telling us the real results. Can’t go shoot them before we buy like a thermal or NV. It’s a stretch but would love to see 1 show in top 5 suppressor picks for our night time hunting setups.
Can we get a comparison between the rattler V2 256 vs the 384 line? Trying hard to justify twice the price here in Maine. Thanks for all your hard work guys.
What a phenomenal upgrade! It seems like they hit it out of the park.
Sub 20mk !!!! That’s awesome, what other scopes on the market have that ?? Very curious
Thanks guys
Was the scope video played in the review from the 25 or 35?
Really makes me second guess grabbing the sidewinder. Is there any advantage to going with the sidewinder over gaining the mount options of this if it will likely be a handheld 95% of its life?
Please tell me where I can get “outdoor legacy” gear!?!?
