I normally use Notorious jiggs, black and gold or winter watermelon. As for the water bobber, I only use it when I'm not sure of the water column the trout are cruising at. Water bobber is a slow sinker and allows the bait to be more exposed near the surface water column.
I have stayed away from the pond forever because I always skunk and I never chase the stocking trucks anymore since I discovered fishing on the North Shore Day Use Area. My summer season starts in April and end around October.
I know how you feel. I used to skunk all the time. It took a long time looking at different methods used by trout anglers to present what the trout wants at the pond. This method works at the pond to the point I don't even chase the stock truck or fight for space at the pond. I don't know if this will work at the lake. But please do share me your method at the lake. I've always skunk at the lake as I don't know where the trouts are.
I usually have a 1/4 oz sinker on it. It really depends where the water column where the trouts are cruising at. If they are closer to shore 1/4 oz will do the trick. If they are in deeper water, I use a clear bulb sinker. Ill show it on the next video when I go back out to Camanche.
Cool video I am also proffesional fisherman and I am only 13 so I like watching those videos!
Keep work up
