hi Smith, if that is your opinion, then that's great because art is subjective no matter what way you deliver. sketch, trace, draw, edit, remix, remaster, it's all art and art is not only about getting a pencil and a paper. but it's about creating something even if you are creating it from something else. you don't need to be afraid of what others think of your work. if You trace a photo, over and over again, maybe it can even help you to draw the same photo without even tracing it. that's my opinion and remember art is subjective. and if you feel that way about tracing, that's okay and that's great

tracing is a tool to get a faster and accurate sketch. but if u want to take the art further, u should learn the fundamentals. also, tracing would reflect line instability.i understand why ppl opt to trace on mobile phones coz the canvas is too small and most only use fingers which is hard to get a general view of the art. I suggest that if ppl will trace digitally, they should also hone their skills through the cheapest but most efficient material which is paper and pencil 😊 ps. this is for the ppl who are confused. it's only my opinion tho
@#ehsan_nation at 1:06 when you open sketchbook, there is a very small icon down in the middle of your screen. click on it then after you will see new tools pop up on your screen. and the erase tool will be the second one when you see them from left to right.

open a new layer as shown in 0:58 NOTE. That layer has to be selected and also drug it up on the top of the original photo. then after that, change the brush and it's stroke settings as shown in 1:08 now start sketching as shown in 1:37 but this time when you try to sketch, you have to know that some of these pencils are smooth and light. so that means that the harder you press it, the harder it will be visible.

@@CrazyMC411 it might not sound bad because it isn't but it becomes bad when you put in the Internet. Art colleges don't accept people who have many traced art but I'm not saying that artist don't trace... They do trace certain stuff, like an eye for example but tracing a whole image is bad

I've used this method a lot but don't put in that level of detail. I can see where adding some hatching here and there would improve my sketches.

Click on the Dot at the bottom (which opens up 5-6 tools in a semicircle), and select the 2nd tool from that menu, it will then work as an eraser.
