That's not confidence, that's called washing We artists do it, to get the undertones right. In the painting there's a warm pink vibe, that's because he washed it at first.

Watercolour is so much more difficult than oil painting - you're constantly trying to reinforce the marks you've already made, lose the light and you've lost it - no going back, but the end result when done right is incredible as it is here. Beautiful 🫶

Good luck. Enough patience, seems to be the key, I figured. Wich I lack.
Practice all the time. You will improve over time. It's amazing how far you can come in a few months of regular painting.
