I find them 'fairly' regularly. But mostly dimes because they're so light, and quiet when they fall (stand by for explanation). My system? Every single time I walk by one of those big green change dump machines, I check the reject area. Silver coins are ALWAYS rejected at every machine, so unless you make it a habit to check the slot before you walk away? Someone else will find what you left behind. Recently I found a penny near the intake area. (obviously, someone had pulled it out of the rejects, looked it over, and left it there.) At first inspection it looked like a hammer went to work on it, but closer examination showed it was a double strike. God only knows how people had picked that coin up, looked it over, and put it back. I sold it online for $70.00.
I have been searching quarters(& other coins) trying to finish a few sets. I have gone through several thousand dollars of quarters, alone. I get rolls from banks, change from car washes, and from friends and family. I have found 1 - 1964 quarter, from my brother's change. He had just over $400 in change, almost $300 in quarters. Other than that, nothing special.
I used to do this with penny rolls. I would find the coppers and save them. It used to be very easy to find copper pennies, but now it has got a little harder.
Great video. I miss hunting quarter rolls. Thank you for the inspiration to get back to it.
Wow, that took awhile! Awesome hunt!!

Silver seems to have evaporated for me. 10+ boxes over the last couple of years and not a single one. Still I will keep trying.

Yea quarters can be very hard to find anything in most of the time but it's very exciting when you do get something

I look through pennies too but I only keep the wheats and anything older
And W's!
The bank made money selling bum rolls.
Most likely the silver looking quarters are platinum plated
That's what I was thinking
Try your luck with half dollar rolls........
