      I'm tapping my foot uncontrollably right now.
      I use to join in on this arrobics class at the gym after my workout,and the instructor was a beast,I just wish she would have had this jam on her boom box,
      I would have flipped out,maybe even tried to lead the class.

    I was working breakfast shift in a motel/hotel in 79/80 and damn if they didn’t play this song every morning for a year or more on the radio as well as Funkytown.I swear I never,ever wanted to hear them again.Hey but now this great to hear it again.Funky bass and ol Isaac R.I.P. grumbling about gettin some.

    This ranks high in lost factor computations, which are big hits that are never played anymore. I don’t know why because this is the jam. I would want to hear it on a classic hits station.

    Pure Magic!!!! This was when music was at it's best, late 70's to 1980. This song is proof. Isaac nailed it. He was one talented brotha'. RIP Isaac Hayes.

    I was twelve when this came out in 1979.What I remember most is having this song on a K-Tell disco record with a bunch of other disco songs from that era.

      I heard it again on an episode of the Jeffersons! George and Tom we’re in a strip club spying on the girls and they got up on stage and did a striptease to this song! So good to hear it again. One of my favorite Isaac Hayes songs.

    Still got a promo 45 from November 1979 when this came out. The disco thing on radio was dying but this song was totally different and one of the greatest dance tunes of that era. I never get tired of this.
    Remake of Roy Hamilton's 1958 hit.

    I know this great song from "The A-Team" :) He played in the episode "The Heart of Rock'n Roll" (season 4, episode 6) together with Rick James. And he sing that song at the end of this great episode. A great moment.

    One of the sexiest vocals on record ever! I saw him in concert (for free!) with my parents(!) at the NY State Fair in Syracuse while home on vacation. One of my greatest memeories ever. RIP, Mr. Hayes... Thanks for the post.
