Very cool how you have them under such good magnificent. Although I really wish you had a day counter. So people new to BBS would know the growth rate of them.
The Brine shrimp is now considered by the best space-biologist-scholars; to have been transferred to the planet Terra; by a violent stellar occurrence, when the planet Marte side-swinged collided with the planet Terra, about 140M years ago. And that means that: the video posted above; contains a small documentary about the ancient original fauna from Marte. Also to point that: a few Brine shrimp from long time ago Marte; got bigger and started predating the others, such as the Anomalocaris;; and then after a few million years of some of the faster & slimmer Brine shrimps; survived for the then next martian day;; some of them got even slimmer and turned into ancient fish, such as the Haikouichthys. Meaning that Brine shrimp and the first ancestors of nowadays fish; got onboard planet Terra; "clandestinely."
Hahaha. I originally intended to make one video with a bunch of text with brine shrimp facts throughout the whole video. Those are the words that don’t exist. But yeah, you got me 🤦🏻♂️
These took about 3 weeks. According to the Great Salt Lake Institute, they can take about 2-3 weeks. A lot of it depends on water temperature, salinity, and food availability. You can find out more here: wildlife.utah.gov/gsl/brineshrimp/life_cycle.php
everyone elses brine shrimp hatched as little angel looking things? mine look like little round things, not at all like the ones in this video, any ideas??
@@shel.b.1090 turns out they were ostracods and theyre still going strong and healthy in my lil half gallon tank, dunno how the got there but theyre funny little things and i think theyre just as fun as sea monkeys :)
In the wild, they’d normally eat algae and other microorganisms. Sometimes they even eat each other. When caring for them at home, they’re not picky eaters. I sprinkle some wheat flour or protein powder every other day for them and they do pretty well with that. One time I even processed foods ground up, like Wheat Thins, Cheez-Its, and Graham crackers.. The graham crackers killed them overnight...

Can you add the ages by hours in enstars
I know why they called sea monkeys because they are very cheeky monkeys when hatching to adults.
Nobody:
Me: can you eat them?
What did you use to record these videos on your microscope?
How long does it take to become adults
Like 3 weeks
How long does it take to grow to full size?
Maybe 1 mont
