Everybody wants to visit the Florida Keys, especially in the winter... BUT WHY? Well, we are going to show you a couple reasons you should schedule your next trip down to the Keys. First, they have amazing RV resorts. If you are a Thousand Trails member be sure to consider Fiesta Key RV Resort. This place has everything! We will say some sites can be crammed, but the amenities are worth it. We enjoyed our time at this resort and hope you enjoy the tour as well. Be sure to add this to your RV living plans. Next, we visited Robbie's to feed the Tarpon. This is rated as a top "must do" activity when visiting the keys and finally did it (on our third trip down). The experience was pretty cool and definitely unique. Be sure to try this out while you are there as well, but watch out for the Pelicans! This is the first of our Florida Keys adventures and hope you will stick around to see even more!

Been to the Keys and Robbie's a few times. Have to check out Fiesta Key Resort tho, we stayed at Grassy Key Resort on our last trip. Looks really nice! Was great meeting you both last night. Travel safe.

Native Floridian here. We’ve been going to the Keys since the 70’s . One of our family traditions is lobster season during the summer. My son spent many summers growing up doing volunteer work with his uncle that was a research boat captain for NOAA out of Key West.
Oh that would be awesome. We love lobster! I beat that was an amazing experience. My daughter is an aspiring Marine Biologist and just spent a month at the dolphin research center. She loved it!

@1StrangeAdventure never stayed in the rv down there. Never able to find a place that wasn't ridiculously expensive
We are staying here in February, but not through TT. Thought about trying to change and purchase the TT, but even a TT membership person said she’d just keep what we have as it’s quite hard to get in during snowbird season!
Being a Michigander I appreciate Harold wearing all his Michigan gear in this video. We have been to the Keys twice and visited Robbie’s both times. The last time, April last year we had two couples with us that were new to the experience. We had a manatee at the feeding dock so it was a double bonus! By the way I am currently at NRVTA getting certified to be a mobile tech. So, if you end up back in southwest Michigan and need anything look me up.
Michigan holds a special place with us. 💚 Robbie’s was a lot of fun! Hats great on the cert! Good luck and keep us posted on your progress. We will most likely be back in Michigan in 23! ☺️

How did Makayla like the dolphin research center? Fiesta is amazing unfortunately we couldn’t get in this year. Well technically we could of paid retail for two days in between a weeks stay. The food at the restaurant was good too
They loved the dolphin research center. Makayla volunteered for 4 weeks there and is now a certified volunteer. It gave her some exposure to what that field is like as she decides where to go to college in the fall. Fiesta was great and we had a good time there, especially the food. The blackened Mahi, yum!!! 🤤

Can you please tell me which Cracker Barrel you stayed at? We are heading to Fiesta Key in a couple of months from NC and would like to stay there. Also what time of the year were you at Fiesta Key?

You said there was noone behind you the entire time. Not busy? But its hard to get a reservation?
The campgrounds limit the number of thousand trails members that can book at any given time. That’s what makes it difficult to book through TT. The campgrounds had opening while there just not for TT members. I wish they would open them if they aren’t booked. ☹️
how far in advance did you have to book Fiesta Key with TT?
We have the adventure package so we booked it 90 days in advance. Midnight of the first eligible day. ☺️

We book as early as possible through Thousand trails. We have the adventure which is 90 days in advance. We got it with the Elite last year. I stayed up until midnight of the 60th day and booked. It’s competitive to get it but worth it. We will be at the Tampa show. Hope to see you there.
