I am assuming that this video's voice over was an AI generated one, and NOT a very good one at that. The odd wa that the volume and inflection of the voice would suddenly change at the oddest moments is 'disturbing' since it suggests that the maker of the video was, like Mr. Rush's TITAN was made 'ON THE CHEAP';. The only interesting point has to do with the details revealed by the ongoing investigation. BUT considering the lack of quality of this video presentation, makes me wonder how much of what was revealed is believable or not. Whatever the case, these revelations show that Mr. Rush was more interested in making money rathwer than ACTUALLY making sure that his vehicle was as well built, and as safe as possible. In my opinion, Mr. Rush himself was terrified of riding in TITAN, but concealed his misgivings from his so called 'Mission Specialists' ,in reality mostly lay person passengers. Perhaps Mr. Rush had a premonition of TITAN'S ultimate failure and decided that he would rather die in his less that well made craft rather than survive to be subjected to the humiliating investigation, and the legal consequences. In the end, Mr. Rush may have commited suicide, AND murdered four other unsuspecting individuals; one of them still legally a minor. As the the final moments of TITAN and it's helpless occupants, the implosion may have been too instantaneous for their comprehension, but I'm willing to bet that that final instant was preceeded by several minutes, if not hours of helpless terror as the inevitable became clear in their minds and souls.

Why are people are still repeating this story about the kid not wanting to go, despite the aunt who was the source being estranged from the father, the mother saying the kid wanted to go, and a friend of the kid saying he would have had no problem telling his father no if he hadn't wanted to go?

Titanic failed because they cut corners in the construction process and they used steel that wasn’t recommended by there chief engineer but white star line where nearly bankrupt and they rushed it and booked cabins before it was built! Sound familiar? Anyway the hull that had been breached would have held if the cheap steel wasn’t used but instead it warped from a coal fire 🔥 in the engine room which wouldn’t have happened if they didn’t cut corners 😢. What I’m trying to get at is one day greed will consume and kill you look at the man’s obsession with the titanic he didn’t do any research. Also months before his son didn’t have a good feeling about it and didn’t wan to do the dive poor innocent lad and the other worker lost there life cause they couldn’t stand up for themselves! In any survival program I have ever watched is never trust those instructing instead figure it out yourself and leave if you feel something is wrong!
Nothing was wrong with the steel used in the Titanic... By 1912 standards. White Star may have been shaky financially but these ships were built with significant government loans and grants. The Titanic sank because the damage it revived exceeded the capability of its design. But... You absolutely do have a point in the last part of your comment.
So - what did Rush do RIGHT? Let's have a looksee at the M.E.L. (Minimum Equipment List) 1- The 18 bolts upfront? - at least a dozen, rolling around the deck topsides, 2- Safety/survival equipment? - the best-looking kit ever - on a table back at base, 3- Emergency ballast blow? - some rusty weights, 4- Duly tested? - nope, we're unable to retrieve them, 5- Backup communications? - we all yell; VERY LOUDLY, 6- Ongoing emergency protocol(s) with the U.S. Coast Guard? - NAH! We're MISSION SPECIALISTS! 7- Backup hardware? - someone's wearing a St. Jude medal, 8. C.E.O. arrogance - almost unlimited supply, 9. Ditto hubris? - on each and every dive, 10. Understanding/appreciation of the rudimentary laws of physics which apply? - you kiddin'? etc. etc. etc.

Did a single, previous attempt to reach the Titanic -- featuring paying passengers or Oceans Gate staff -- ever take place? The entire Project lacked independent, qualified supervision -- Namely, a qualified cerification..
I guarantee you if they left that submersible outside not protected for 7 months in Newfoundland, in the winter, it was definitely impacted. The weather here is bizarre and constantly changing. The salt blowing off the water in the harbour is enough to ruin it

So you mean to tell me God himself struck this thing with lightning and people STILL think there was something on Earth that could be done to stop Stockton Rush? 🤔
I think the owner not saying his name on purpose WANTED to tie his name to the history of the titanic that way he could become infamous since fame has eluded him! Seeking fame from first space and being astronaut but failing at that! This saddest thing is a Father and Mother were to be aboard, when the son took the place of the mother! I can not imagine how she feels!
Criminal negligence on the entire fiasco from building without proper oversight of the Titan to the day of the final dive. They harp on the delay in contacting emergency services. STUPID. Unless a submersible is pre prepped and on ready standby AND staged close enough to get to the search site in time to find the lost craft it is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to do a rescue of a small deep dive craft like Titan before oxygen ran out.
Looking back I wonder why that type of adhesive was used instead of 3m 5200 or why the titanium was not fastened 2.5" or halfway into the carbon wrap with a 6" flange. Scuffing entire surface, including the titanium. Contnuing wrapping the carbon fibre over the flange to completion.

Technically the Titanic's rudder was too small, they were going to fast at night in an ice field, and there were not enough lifeboats.
So - what did Rush do RIGHT? Let's have a looksee at the M.E.L. (Minimum Equipment List)
1- The 18 bolts upfront? - at least a dozen, rolling around the deck topsides,
2- Safety/survival equipment? - the best-looking kit ever - on a table back at base,
3- Emergency ballast blow? - some rusty weights,
4- Duly tested? - nope, we're unable to retrieve them,
5- Backup communications? - we all yell; VERY LOUDLY,
6- Ongoing emergency protocol(s) with the U.S. Coast Guard? - NAH! We're MISSION SPECIALISTS!
7- Backup hardware? - someone's wearing a St. Jude medal,
8. C.E.O. arrogance - almost unlimited supply,
9. Ditto hubris? - on each and every dive,
10. Understanding/appreciation of the rudimentary laws of physics which apply? - you kiddin'?
etc. etc. etc.
They dropped weights not to ascend, but to slow their speed before they hit bottom. This was standard.
New details, explained everything we knew all over again...
as a seattle native it’s funny hearing him keep saying “u double u”
A free oceanGate Titan ? are you kidding me how very insensitive does the thing implode in the bath ? i am shocked and disgusted .
36:12 the most revailing thing about the situation
This is pretty well done. My only complaint is it is using the same flawed AI voice/editing as some of the sci fi hfy channels that have that horrific dying screaming goat sound randomly cut in. Its jarring and painfully louder than the voice itself.
That and a lot of the points are repeated back to back.
But over all good vid.
The salt blowing off the water in the harbour is enough to ruin it
Stockton Rush's last words "Back-up plan?"
I agree. Pleeease ditch the AI voice over. It spoils what could be a good film.
Nice model. For authenticity, do you put it in the bath and then whack it with a lump hammer?
"You will be remembered for the rules you break."
Stockton Rush
"As a retired engineer myself, I have often advised young engineers that if you think too far outside the box, you will usually quickly find out why the box was there!"
RUclips commenter on a video about Stockton Rush and OceanGate.
You guys need to make a model of it imploded too! I might buy that
you need to slow the bot down, numbers are barely understandable
Yeah sounds like ai- Narration Poor quality garbage! Waste of time!!
Why does the AI voice keep changing accents! So annoying!
Well he was innovative albeit pompous as all hell and his prophetic words are absolutely spot on- “you’re remembered for the rules you break”, and he was hands down CORRECT on that!! It’s just a shame he took everyone else who out their unfortunate trust in him and it was beyond tragic!😞
All these vids could be 2/3 shorter if it everything wasn't repeated 3 times 3 times 3 times. Irritating.
Timestamps bud. For the love of god.
downvoted for being AI
@21minutes. A 1/3 scale model IMPLODED??? Sorry, but this is new to me. Precisely WHAT part failed? This is a critical omission.
I can't say that I've ever heard the name of the Titanic pronounced "tighten-ick". Took my brain an extra billionth of a second to process that into my reality.
how the heck do people find out that the voice is AI?
barely or not being able to understand many of the numbers.... it literally says tic .-- nik instead of titanic at least once. those things made me think "is my english too bad"? but then comments reassured me it's just the faulty AI voice
Im just wondering if we will ever know what the last few minutes were like. Probably not.
What's with the tone shift? Pick a tone and stick with it
So you mean to tell me God himself struck this thing with lightning and people STILL think there was something on Earth that could be done to stop Stockton Rush? 🤔
This AI voice is terrible. Please change it 🙏
I think the owner not saying his name on purpose WANTED to tie his name to the history of the titanic that way he could become infamous since fame has eluded him!
If the window was not certified to the depths they were diving, I wonder what other components of that vessel were also underrated?
Looking back I wonder why that type of adhesive was used instead of 3m 5200 or why the titanium was not fastened 2.5" or halfway into the carbon wrap with a 6" flange. Scuffing entire surface, including the titanium. Contnuing wrapping the carbon fibre over the flange to completion.
