theory on why poppy was in a container:
the workers knew that toys are coming alive and becoming evil, so they put poppy in a container so she cant get out and become evil too, so thats why she was becoming more evil the longer she was out of the container

at the end, didnt she say that she wanted to save every toy in the factory or something, but using US as the player? but good theory, no wonder why the toys seems so hostile!

On the notes that y'all saw on elliot's office, its basically an experiment here here:
Basically theres a Mouse, the mouse always getting feeded 3 times a day, for like 2 weeks or more. Then they kill the mouse, and put it to a some sort water + poppy flower for 1-2 months(?) and then after that electrocute the mouse, trying to revive it. And at the end of the note, Elliot wanted to experiment the "reviving with a poppy flower liquid" to something bigger, which i assume humans since Elliot's family died
