This was quite the tournament! It was nice seeing Mecha Frieza & Senzu’s being utilized along with other support skills! I almost never used them so it was interesting seeing different levels of creativity. Congrats on winning by the way, hopefully you’ll do more B1 tournaments in the future and even B2.
the skill that gave unlimited ki threw me off guard, that paired with the >kkke string with hercule was a good idea from Sloth. thats the type of creativity i was hoping to see with custom builds and im glad players experimented
@@hippobudokai4718 Lol noticed that too. I had to go back and see exactly what skill was equipped because I didn’t know that was a thing. 😆 The Gohan player using the classic virus and vaccine strat was a good idea as well. I can see how helpful that would be for Kid Gohan especially with how limited his options are.

I feel like if you beat Frieza you should already get a point, plus another one when you also beat Mecha Frieza and winning as Mecha Frieza should count for half a point. That Spaceship is completely busted.

Awesome to see a Budokai *ONE* tourney especially in this day and age. Next time please set the aspect ratio to 4:3 and either disable interlacing or use deinterlacing cause the stretch + shaking is killing me lmao. Should've been the default settings on the latest PCSX2 afaik
i wouldve done 4:3 but for some reason budokai 1 randomly just goes stretched mid match, and same thing with a widescreen hack i wouldve used it but randomly itll just go stretched and swap back n forth mid match. its a dolphin issue idk
@@hippobudokai4718 Ohh this was the GameCube version. I actually had no idea B1 came out on GC lol.
B3 on PCSX2 has the same issue with it's widescreen hack, the first round of any match will be fine but choosing Battle Again after a match will disable the hack and be stretched, so it's probably something to do with the engine itself. Anyway, I'm trying the game myself and I see what you mean, changing the Aspect Ratio from Auto to Force 4:3 fixes it, make sure you disable Widescreen Hack. As for Progressive Scan I see that enabling it in Dolphin itself doesn't do anything, BUT if you right click the game and hit Properties, you can click Download Codes on the bottom right of the Gecko Codes tab and enable one called "Deinterlacing Patch Code" that works! Make sure Cheats are enabled in Dolphin's Config > General tab. After doing both of those the game looks great.
Also an optional thing to really make the game look accurate is to go to Graphics > Enhancements > Color Correction and enable Correct Color Space to NTSC-J and set the Game Gamma to 2.20 and enable Correct SDR Gamma. That'll emulate how a japanese TV would display the colors (since it's a japanese-developed game), and you can set it to NTSC-M for US and PAL for European games (with a Gamma of 2.8). A really minor change would be setting Output Resampling to either Area Sampling if you're rendering at a high resolution or one of the Bicubic settings, Dolphin will tell you about them to help you decide. Hope this all helps

I always hated how fast Goku bled ki when going super sayian in this game. You were basically mostly in Kaioken.

Yeah having 6 bars to their 3 definetly busted lol. Taking it out would be a real shame so maybe they could balance the capsule by making it mandatory to run some other capsule to cripple them to balance it out. Limiting attack capsules isnt gonna make that big a dif in this game

Only played as a kid in like 4th grade or so but think thats the name. Using the 2 capsule's is worth it to check the Frieza ship stat or other senzu's
Yeah everyone just run those sets to counter the space ship. It sucks but it it isnt banned then why not ? Everyone gets basically 4 matches each.
