Absolutely wonderful video. The teacher/narrator 'Mikey' is well spoken providing clear and concise, easy to follow instructions. As long as you pay attention, you should be able to create your own sample piece with success.

Ok so, I just picked up the hook to crochet, I have been researching and watching endless amounts of videos and I just love yours the best! Quick, easy and understandable, I say that bc I am left handed and that’s a chore in itself never mind applying what I watched and then turning it around in my head😉. I am making a baby blanket for my granddaughter, she is only 6 and I figure it should be done by the time she has a little one if I am consistent with it😂😂. You know count, miscount, drop a stitch etc…😉😂😉😂.

I worked with Tunisian a couple of times in the past ... before the internet and RUclips ... but gave up because I could find no one to show me the different stitches and especially the cast off. You are a GREAT instructor! I will be learning much more from you as time goes by, I am sure. ;)

As a crochet enthusiast, but also a wood worker and longbowman. It may be possible to save your bamboo hook, using either steaming and clamping, or native arrow straightening techniques
There are many you tube videos on both these methods,or if there is anyone you can find in your area into making their own arrows maybe they can help you

I've been crocheting for several years and am fairly proficient at it, I think. I've wanted to expand and am trying to learn Tunisian with your help. At least, I've made all sorts of things from scarves/hats to afghans, placemats, even a few sweaters.
This tutorial is very goo and I appreciate your using the larger yarn so we can see. But I have a question. You show the simple stitch, then move right into the knit stitch without starting from the casting on for that stitch. I am assuming that, if you wanted to just do the knit stitch, you start it after you do the chain and the first row. Is that right?

Hello, Mikey, thank you for all the explanations. I am trying to find a set of bamboo hooks, but the only ones I found on Amazon have a number of worrying reviews. The bamboo seems to be rough and snag the yarn, and the cable seems to have a foul smell. A set with cables to be able to make circular pieces would be ideal. Do you have any suggestions about where to find them, please? Thanks again :-)

Hi Mikey! I have a question for you (if anyone else can answer it as well I would be most thankful) 1. How long is your Tunisian hook at 2:57?2. Can you make a blanket with a Tunisian hook measuring 10.6" without the wire? If not then I will do an Entralac blanket. Please answer ASAP. I only got some Tunisian hooks today and I want to start using them! Thank you for reading 😎

Well if humidity and time changed it why not try soaking in some warm water and then rubber band it to something straight until it dries out again? Then store it flat from then on....

hello! i don't know where you're from, but usually when you buy hooks from your local craft store, you can buy them in sets. there are different sizes of hooks in a set. and i guess buying in sets is cheaper and more convenient. and btw, one set doesn't cost much. i bought mine online and it costs 500pesos, that's around 10 us dollars. i hope this helps. happy crocheting! :)

Would you say that Tunisian crochet uses less yarn than typical crochet? I know knitting uses far less yarn than crochet, so I wondered how this "hybrid" measured up.

On the pearl stitch, I notice the last stitch where you go through the chain, your doing a basic stitch instead of a pearl stitch (not bringing the yarn forward first. I've done it both ways and it is neater the way you show us on this video - this is the correct way yes?
