great demo, less talking, straight to playing, love it!
Hi! Just wanted to say that I think this is the best Rectifier demo on youtube! Thank you for making it.
troyguitarist Thanks!
That sounded great, good rock tone. Been thinking of picking up a Mesa Dual Recto. It's good to hear it be used for styles other than just Metal.
johnnyz1969 If you're going to play Jazz or Blues is not the best amp, but it can sound quite good in all styles.
What do u think would be better for rock, light to heavy and some bluesy stuff occasionally this or Marshall jvm?
I've never played with a JVM, so I can't tell you. Sorry
Andrew Augeri and my God their tone has gone to absolute trash in the past 20.Not that that's Mesa's fault because it's not,it's theirs.
LaNauEstudi Valencia clean channel y useful for jazz, this amp has a very good clean. You can play jazz very well with it
Totally agree with your title. This sounds great. Best Recto demo on RUclips.
Very nice demo! Shows how versatile it is.
Good lord I gotta get me one of these. Awesome demo!!
This really is the best demo of this amp! Good job!
Awesome! so versatile! you made is sounded like a Marshall JCM
I own a Mesa Triple Rectifier (exact same pre-amp tone as the Dual). The amp is crazy responsive to pickup changes and picking techniques. You can make the amp sound like a Marshall or a Peavey for the most part, but you can't make either the Marshall or the Peavey sound like a Mesa. The Rectifier amps are so responsive and downright explosive when you want them to be. Also, the EQ knobs and Presence knobs seem to not have a limit on them. Marshalls and Peaveys tend to have limters in place to not make it sound completely out of control. A Mesa is kind of crazy in that in can easily get out of control depending on the pickups you are using. This is both a good an a bad thing, but it is mostly an awesome thing because you find the holy grail of tone in it. If you want to get more detailed in the tone control, just put an EQ pedal in the back end of the signal chain (as opposed to pluging directly into an EQ and then to the amp. Use the FX loop to send the finished amp tone through the EQ pedal/rack). You will be able to fine tune the tone to your liking. It is an amazing amp and worth every penny. Don't be afraid to check out the Mark series, and the new Triple Crown series. The Royal Atlantic and Stiletto series were discontinued but they are killer as well. You might be able to find them used.
Brandon Curtin I found a used RA-100 online and wanted to jump on it but didnt have the funds. I have loved the RA-100 since they came out
In this demo, are you using the output knob in addition to the master volume switches? I have the same amp and trying to get an idea of how loud you are playing. Looks like all master volumes are roughly 12 o'clock. If output is in use, then I would imagine its quite loud. Please share your settings, it would be very helpful. Thanks!!
Its nice to see a good clean test ;) Great vid man
Mark iic plus 44 Thanks!
Very very nice demo. It shows the huge versatility or this fantastic amp. And you are playing through the old model (without multi watt switch), aren't you? Thanks!
I have a single rect combo, been offered a good deal on a dual I’m super tempted to get. Not sure to sale the single for the dual head, I love that single combo.
Really nice demo man :)
Great video! Do you remember if you've used a boost in front of the amp on the high gain channels? I have a Multiwatt model (the reborn) and I can't achieve the same gain level (compared to yours) unless I boost the amp with my Maxon 808. Thank you!
No boost at all, just the amp settings showed in the video. And powerful playing.
@@LaNauEstudiValencia Awesome, thank you for making the video!
@@LaNauEstudiValencia Just saw on your profile page (the picture) that you have an Engl Savage? I do have one and I do prefer the rectifier a lot more than the Savage. The Savage has a lot of mids which don't sound right, compared to how the Rectifier sounds!
that riff at 7:30 what song is that? sounds so similar... Clean video of the Mesa Boogie. Thanks a lot. If you don't mind me asking, how does it compare when playing blues or jazz styles? If you've tried.
+Chris G This song is called "Tiempo" of my band Octava Polar:

FInally I found a good recorded demo.
What’s the cab?
please !!!! what,s the setting in 4:47 ....thanks a lot!
How did you record this?
Peavey 6505+ can only dream of having such good clean tone, I know I have one the clean channel sounds like dog shit! I wish I had the money to get a New Dual recto Multi watt...
I do too, I keep the clean gain low and crank the volume to get the level where I need it, but I have a recto too and i agree its way better.
