My oldest son is in his early 20's and he has type 1 diabetes. But thank God for this piece of article ruclips.net/user/postUgkxVYhghKWmrUgXARZ_ydZTvmmcrw5L0I5i At first he thought he had the flu and was lying down on the bed for three days until his sister took him to the hospital. They took his blood and it was 600. What I do not understand is how he could have gotten it, since no one in the family has it. But he is winning the battle now. This is good stuff.

This is definitely among the better videos found on RUclips and you do a very nice job presenting. That said, I'd like to offer this advice; show a pic or two of the finished product at the beginning. I don't like skipping to the end of the book anymore than most people, but it's a lot easier to comprehend what we're looking at when you have a point of reference. Aside from that, very that, extremely thorough and complete in the detail that most videos skip over. Good job!
May not be load bearing, but make sure the stairs are self supporting. I have seen stringers split because people have removed the walls under the stairs.
It is a very good book for beginners as well as for those that are already into ruclips.net/user/postUgkxTNB_zFBSnTo_O1PqfVUwgi7ityw0JlKt A very good basic ebook to keep as a reference too. I like it and the way the subject matter is presented. It has humor and that helps with the reading.
Personally I would have just finished the edges of the drywall, covered the open insulation with some thin plywood, and built a couple of doors. The way they show it here it certainly looks nice but you lose a lot of space with all the wood framing / drawings.
I certainly do not have the money to hire this done. However I was a part owner of a manufacturing business for 13 years of the 23 it was around. This video comes in handy for me and luckily have the proper tools to do this.
I want to do this very project. I live in a 2 story home and the stairwell is totally boxed in with a regular size opening to walk up stairwell. How do I know if when I remove sheetrock 1st that it is not a baring wall?
Awesome videos!! I am sooooo happy I saw these videos!! It inspired me to create my own space under my stairs and I even created my own RUclips channel because I was so excited!! I would love to have some feedback or comments to help me improve! Thanks So much Handyman!! You Rock!!
You are a genius . I love love watching you doing the D.I.Y . I wish I could hire you for just one day. I need a lot of space in my house as we are a big family and space is at premium.
I just got this package a few days ago, and I've had a hard time putting it down. There are lots of full-color pictures, with thorough descriptions of every step in the project. The plans are super easy to read and understand, unlike several others I looked at online. Definitely a valuable addition to my woodworking reference library. I would highly recommend it to anyone who's interested in woodworking *TopFineWoodworking .Com* >>>>
When the studs were removed under the staircase and replaced with the storage face frame, it looks like the structural support is much compromised. Although it looks great, I don’t think it would pass permit inspection in my area.
Having glue and black bar clamps touching eachother and the wood doesnt stain the piece. Also if it does, wipe up excess glue and after glue dries, sand it a little bit.
Are you fucking serious??? What types of builders have you had ? You stuck up fucking bitch! Had every builder in the UK have you? No! Just the shit ones by the sounds of it! piss off with your ignorant attitude!
Also, if all the builders in the uk are lazy and no good as you suggest, who the fuck do you think built the 25million houses that currently stand in the uk, including yours? you fucking pig!
Matt Odonnell Good grief! Isn't your response a good bit disproportionate in anger and vigor to her (likely very inaccurate) comment? All of that foul language and hate doesn't help you improve the impression the other commenter has of your trade. I don't think her comment was nice either, but your replies were worse. Just my opinion offered with all due respect.
scrippslarry i don't need to try to change her impression of my trade! If shes as dumb and stupid as shes portraying then nothing could convince her otherwise! My anger and language is relevant because I'm sick the back teeth of ignorant morons like hers opinion of the tradesman of our country. Shes nothing but a stuck up old bat whos probably given the builder just as much grief as he's given her! So now shes taken to youtube to share her disgruntlement! But to tar every builder with the same brush!
Matt Odonnell totally understand your frustration at your entire trade being criticized and maligned by a careless generalization due to what was very likely a bad experience (or experiences) had by this lady. Your reply to me was much more measured and showed some restraint. My thinking was when you launch a no-holds-barred, profanity-laced attack on someone you lose the advantage of having your perspective received and potentially accepted. What you might've said instead that could have a more positive affect would be to recognized the fact that she has had some bad experiences, but explain that it is inappropriate for her to generalize and lump all carpentry tradesmen together due to those experiences alone. It just seems to me that social commentary on RUclips and other social platforms has become an unbridled verbal fistfight waged incessantly, and seldom with attempts to try to gently persuade others to our way of thinking. In this way we all lose the opportunity to enjoy a kinder, and more positive experience with others on these platforms. Again, just hoping that we all might try to take the higher road in our communications with others instead of "burning the road".
Material check. The storage frame is solid plywood (birch? oak?). The backing is just normal plywood. And the framing plywood for stair supports (at the beginning) is also just normal plywoood. Correct?
interesting to watch and I admire your skills, but I, like I suspect a lot of people would take a jigsaw, and cut a doorway into the plasterboard/drywall and ta-dah! one big storage cupboard, project over...I'll see you in the pub when youve finished your fancy drawers ;)
I think at the end you ended up with just a few drawers and didn't use the entire space to its fullest potential. My opinion: too much work and wood wasted and not that efficient space use.
Ok if I am a person that needs this video to make a storage spaces that mean that I have to buy an equipment that costs thousands of dollar to make a storage spaces that cost less to hire someone to build it for me. And if I am a person that has all of these tools that means that I don't need this video, do I? This video is a FAIL, but amusing to watch!
This video screams SNL Skit to me! I can just envision an ever more complicated set up of clamps in the form of an erector set and a narrator giving instructions in increasingly complex technical language!

Somebody get this guy a table saw!
Incredible work freehanding with a circular saw on those long boards.
The work is great. Thanks for share!

Just good classic carpentry. Love it

hi, i'm learning carpentry in france, and your videos are very helpfull for help me in oodwork and in engish.
Thanks a lot !
انت معلم ومثالي. وتستحق التقدير
now that the vertical 3x2 is cut out... doesnt that compromise the load bearing of the stair string?
No! The stringers carry the load on the stairs. The vertical boards were only for drywall to be attached for a finished look
Thank you very much for the video. Very helpful.
It had a nice work. Thanks

Lots of GREAT tips in this Vid. tks...
I want to do this very project. I live in a 2 story home and the stairwell is totally boxed in with a regular size opening to walk up stairwell. How do I know if when I remove sheetrock 1st that it is not a baring wall?
Easy peasy - but seriously. Woodwork is a skill that requires so much talent in my opinion. Its beautiful what he is doing.
Great Vid! I guess you CAN teach an old dog like me, new tricks! Ruff ruff.
7:02 love the sparks coming from the saw due to a lack of planning ahead on staple placement.
puff
definitely filmed b4 Kreg! Still the way it used to be done! very good!
I would need an handyman like you to help renovate my old house😉

Pocket hole technology, such as the tools made by Kreg, would be an easy alternative to biscuit joinery.
do you have a video for storage underneath stairs with just some simple doors.
When the studs were removed under the staircase and replaced with the storage face frame, it looks like the structural support is much compromised. Although it looks great, I don’t think it would pass permit inspection in my area.
If the stud underneath is acting as support that means there something wrong.
thank you that goooooooood
not a problem...this guy has some sharp tools.
uncle can u teach me how to do this and those thing like you done...i like wacthing this kind of video..and i feel i want to try
tanks for sharing this video!
very good work can you come over to England sometime and do mine? THANKS FOR UPLOAD.
muito bom ,sem duvidas......
gracias. esta muy exacto todo puedo trabjar con tigo para aprender.
i from ACAPULCO
are you building a bombproof space?
why all the framingwork? ok to frame the stairs up, but why the rest
Lol, I thought the same! Lovely detailed work, but I bet that piece will be standing long after the rest of the house has fallen down!
It speaks well for him I think. There's a man who does a proper job of it - even when it isn't needed
Amazing and simple explanation
Keep the good work
Thanks for your video
Very nice work.
Having glue and black bar clamps touching eachother and the wood doesnt stain the piece. Also if it does, wipe up excess glue and after glue dries, sand it a little bit.
You got all the tools to build this.
Most people dont have.
I was wondering how the small end piece was built. It looks as if there was only 1/2" MDF. Can anyone share.
Thank you so much
Nice job
Oh my god, i had so much laughter watching this video! Why so much effort for this?
😂😂
roughly how much would all the supplies cost on this project? (wood supplies)
Sounds like a old school educational film.
muy bueno el vídeo,me gustaría la explicación traducida en español x fa
You are an amazing builder/carpenter. We don't get good builders in the UK. They are lazy and will rob you blind.

I like the tools.
How many hours did it take you? I will double or triple that and set aside the time for my attempt

Me gusta mucho esta página es una de mis favoritas tengo un poco de problema con el idioma me gustaría fuera en español

Very nice information
this can be done in those two level condos with the same type of stairs. I'm eyeballing this for my condo.
What kind of glue are you using?

Maybe not all the space was needed.

Pocket screws rather than biscuits would have eliminated the need for clamps.
There are self clamping biscuits as well which means clamps or screws are not needed but are optional.

lyazidi Anouar lol same!
Americans are the masters at Carpentry, they make it so simple.
Looks easy when u do it
why does it need to be so neat for under stair storage? I agree some sort of door would be easier and better.
Clever clamping tip @4:53
I need to build something like this, but there is no way in hell I can do alone, the tools alone would cost more..
Good video though..

😂 I didn't notice that! I wonder if he lost a few teeth on that blade.
You should build a bar under the staircase. For wine and spirits. Thank you and please post it on you tube.
Looks like an earthquake shelter, too!
Awesome except one thing- I suggest some ear protection for your paslode, otherwise you might end up deaf before the retirement. Take care.
