Such amazing guitar players! Even their bass player is just phenomenal! Check out their side projects sometime, even Louie but especially Alex, Eric, and Chuck did some impressive work outside if Testament.
even if you dont listen to testement that much (like me for example) i think we can all agree that this is a great piece of art which is way to underrated
I only heard it for the first time today when my brother in law shared a live version from 1992 on Facebook. So I had to look up the original version. Awesome!
As a Randy Rhoads Jimmy Page Ritchie Blackmore Eddie Van Halen Jeff Beck Eric Clapton yes I can play Dee in it's entirety. Darrell signed my guitar on the skids pine knob show. Remembered me at the State/Filmore Detroit w/o it. Dimez was A REAL BROTHER
When the present days' music scene reaches that inevitable point where everything sucks and sounds the same i always fall back into the metal scene and ultimately find hidden gems like this song. Metal rules!!!
I'm always on the prowl for good music EXCELLENT MUSIC even so I've never had to go back to metal ...I never left I'm still here in the ditches with it
i was a teenager when i first listened to this one, and at the same time discovered the band. things like this one empower's me everyday, i don't regret my teenage years, at all.
this is so beautiful. testament are a very talented band. chuck billy still singing after a battle with cancer have to admire his determination.inspiration to anyone who plays music let alone us metal heads!!!
SimplyMiesh Alex is GOD in my opinion. Randy Rhodes eat your heart out! Alex doesn't even listen to metal.....he listens and plays nothing but classical and jazz, but mixes it with Eric's crunchy power cords and metal edge... back then......butter!!! And Eric's solo in this song....so good! Proves they both have talent, Alex more so, hence why he was in Guitar Player Magazine as a writer.....
Skolnick, Satriani, Malmsteen, Friedman, Becker, Gustafson, MacAlpine, Gary Moore, Vinnie Moore and Waters. I recognize their solos if I'm woken up suddenly.
Great meditation guitars .. great memories feeling these emotions throughout my past time ..take me back and I return to serenity.. thanks so much for all the bad ass songs and times ..the concerts were amazing .
Thanks for putting Alex up there. Seems like because of megadeth popularity. The younger ones seem to think marty wrote the book. And he's great but Alex is 🤌
This is such a haunting song. An eeire feeling it gives, yet so much emotion. And it is performed with so much passion and almost flawlessly. My only wish is that it were a little longer.
Genial work... I love melancholic instrumentals, I´m a melancholic- and this perfectly suits my temper... :) Sorry for my English, I´ll get better ( I hope :) )
Show must go on !!!
es muy triste, pero el tratar de pedir perdon al menos curara su corazon. Hay varias formas de pedir perdon. No le pidas perdon con palabras, pide perdon con tus acciones hacia ella....
I remember hearing testament on headbangers ball " trail by fire" on the strength of that I bought the cassette. I had my 53 ford pickup wired my 1st radio in it and the 1st thing I played was the new order I was 18 and life was good now I'm an ol man but still got my testament
@TheMetallicafan012 ...i always replayed this song more than any other, broke two cassette tapes constantly rewinding it...so hard pressed, yeah it's this one...BUT, the whole album is UNBELIEVABLE, and notwithstanding PWYP, it's my favorite Testament album.
This album cover makes me feel so nostalgic even though I was born almost 20 years after this was released :D I just feel like an 60 year old dude who misses the 80's/90's even though I'm 19 :DDDD
Metallica is not overrated. Metallica came in a time where Glam Metal and MTV were destroying everything we cherished dear. Metallica gave back the hope in good music after years of decadence. Respect when its due is due
I can respect you for saying that, Skolnick is probably the best rounded guitar player because of his super jazz influence. They are good guitar players regardless of what anybody says because alot of people look up to them and their playing style's. But I do see Mustaine over Hammett anyday
@TheMetallicafan012 Into the Pit. It has basically the ingredients for a great Thrash song; an excellent catchy riff + superb solo + good cooperative drums + the wonderful vocals of Chuck Billy.
I'm a drummer, but Alek Skolnick is easily one of my favorite musicians. There is just something about his playing. I don't really have the guitar words :) I'd love to jam with him
I will never get tired of hearing this song. Takes me back.
Me too.
I love how metal chicks on yt comments are nowadays mom...
You remember exactly where you were , and what you were doing LOL... I mean , it was ALLL fun
I love old metal head chicks they knew how to chug a beer back in the day
Me neither, its my favourite Testament track.
Their most underrated song.
PerpetualBurn27 most underrated band also
It's a shame that even the band themselves underrate this song. I've seen Testament live 3 times and they have never played this beautiful song :(
James Evans underrated but not the most underrated
Such amazing guitar players! Even their bass player is just phenomenal! Check out their side projects sometime, even Louie but especially Alex, Eric, and Chuck did some impressive work outside if Testament.
Underrated by you.
dude, this album is one of the best metal albums of all time
Chucky Cage yeah it’s pretty good but besides this and hypnosis there’s not much verity
Agreed
Definitely one of the best
even if you dont listen to testement that much (like me for example) i think we can all agree that this is a great piece of art which is way to underrated
I only heard it for the first time today when my brother in law shared a live version from 1992 on Facebook. So I had to look up the original version. Awesome!
This, Voice Of The Soul & Orion gotta be the best instrumentals ever imo
Oh yeah. Also Genghis Khan and Transylvania by Iron Maiden. Completely different vibe but also pure magic
And also Inquisition Symphony by Sepultura
Forgot about The Call of Kthulu.
Always the metallica simps come homing in 💀💀💀💀
Alex is the man! But don't forget Eric! The dynamic duo of metal!!
Testament's music always puts me in a trance
Got this album the day it was released. STILL hitting hard in 2022. Especially this timeless masterpiece of andinstrumental!
When the present days' music scene reaches that inevitable point where everything sucks and sounds the same i always fall back into the metal scene and ultimately find hidden gems like this song. Metal rules!!!
This one is one of the best tracks on any Testament album I've ever heard; I keep this one on my cd I save for rainy days
james, Alex is, by far.. one of my favorite metal guitarist, for sure!!
Saw Testament in May. Amazing!!
Words of wisdom bro !
I'm always on the prowl for good music EXCELLENT MUSIC even so I've never had to go back to metal ...I never left I'm still here in the ditches with it
Fuck yes!! Amazing that I listened to this on a tape riding the bus ...
played the acoustic parts of this song for my theory 1 class in high school in the early 90's, still one of my all time favorite songs to play
This song is pure magic. Always moving, each and every time I hear it.
i was a teenager when i first listened to this one, and at the same time discovered the band. things like this one empower's me everyday, i don't regret my teenage years, at all.
this is so beautiful. testament are a very talented band. chuck billy still singing after a battle with cancer have to admire his determination.inspiration to anyone who plays music let alone us metal heads!!!
Man, this is so beutiful, Skolnick rocks
This is timeless........sit back, close your eyes, and just open your mind. rejoice in the music, again, MUSIC! Thanks Testamnet for such classics!
That last solo is disgustingly good. And the guitar tone !!!!
Agreed.. For my money Skolnick is the best. His leads just have an extra quality to them that ya just don't hear from anyone else.
Skolnick, Satriani, Malmsteen, Friedman, Becker, Gustafson, MacAlpine, Gary Moore, Vinnie Moore and Waters. I recognize their solos if I'm woken up suddenly.
Alex Skolnick & Eric Peterson together in same room, recording, Etc.... is going to be enjoyed by many!
Mesmerizing. This music is sacred to me.
Great meditation guitars .. great memories feeling these emotions throughout my past time ..take me back and I return to serenity.. thanks so much for all the bad ass songs and times ..the concerts were amazing .
Skolnick is a Guitar God ! Bluesy spun on classical. Alot of Emotion.
If I can call a metal song beautiful, then this song is beautiful.
And EPIC!!!
Evergreen.
Super Fantastic!
Absolutely great guitarist.
Skolnick and Friedman the two best thrash metal guitarists!
Thanks for putting Alex up there. Seems like because of megadeth popularity. The younger ones seem to think marty wrote the book. And he's great but Alex is 🤌
The perfect song doesn't exi-
This is such a haunting song. An eeire feeling it gives, yet so much emotion. And it is performed with so much passion and almost flawlessly. My only wish is that it were a little longer.
Man this fine song says everything thru these beautiful guitars listen to that emotion its crying out to u omg I can't contain myself
pure beauty
Takes me back when I had the walkman and this awesome song on cassette during a hurricane warning walking the streets high winds and rainining 👍😬🤟
skolnick and rocky george are so underrated. it's criminal.Beethoven would have been happy writing that piece.
Beethoven would have sh!it his pantaloons if he were somehow able to hear it.
No they aren't to people with an opinion that matters.
Genial work... I love melancholic instrumentals, I´m a melancholic- and this perfectly suits my temper... :)
Sorry for my English, I´ll get better ( I hope :) )
skolinicks underated and under talked about
You’ve not been around guitarists a lot have you?

Excellent!!!
Incredible! Amazing like Floyd!
Floyd is amazing and this is amazing too, but let's not compare apples and oranges.
no i agree with him . it has a floydian "laid back jam" kind of feel. don't be so insecure as to take quick offense your shallowness will show
Musical Death and Orion are the best instrumentals to have ever been written in the history of mankind.
The New Order was the first Testament album I heard back in 88.I bought The Legacy 2 days after hearing The New Order.
One of my fav songs of all time
these guys rocked - classical sounding then straight ass kicking - loved em
playing this on gutair is one of my favorite warm ups 👍👊
This song represnts musical perfection. Hey Testament!

Masterful piece of music
I remember hearing testament on headbangers ball " trail by fire" on the strength of that I bought the cassette. I had my 53 ford pickup wired my 1st radio in it and the 1st thing I played was the new order I was 18 and life was good now I'm an ol man but still got my testament

@HerveGamerDude Oh, but thanks for bringing me back to this song. It has been one of my favorites since I was 13 (I'm 32 now). It always take me back.
Amazing instrumental, not only how they play it, you need much feeling to compose something like this! great stuff
Perfection
@TheMetallicafan012 ...i always replayed this song more than any other, broke two cassette tapes constantly rewinding it...so hard pressed, yeah it's this one...BUT, the whole album is UNBELIEVABLE, and notwithstanding PWYP, it's my favorite Testament album.

Metallica is not overrated. Metallica came in a time where Glam Metal and MTV were destroying everything we cherished dear. Metallica gave back the hope in good music after years of decadence. Respect when its due is due
This, if anything, is not musical death: it's musical immortality. I fell in love with this instrumental the first I heard it in 88
Can't stop listening to this song.
I can respect you for saying that, Skolnick is probably the best rounded guitar player because of his super jazz influence. They are good guitar players regardless of what anybody says because alot of people look up to them and their playing style's. But I do see Mustaine over Hammett anyday
@TheMetallicafan012
Into the Pit. It has basically the ingredients for a great Thrash song; an excellent catchy riff + superb solo + good cooperative drums + the wonderful vocals of Chuck Billy.

@Vlad31 I just listened to it. Its awsome! A different type of song though, completely acustic, but also perfect.
I wish i could met this 43 people that dont like this song and ask them whats wrong with their lives
Challenge: Find the goofy tape edit in the drums. I used to listen to this daily in Jr. High and never noticed it until now.
pantera vibes (this love/cemetary gates) I love it!
