They just had there 10 anniversary as being a band. They write all there own music. And you just been warned. I am 67 and this takes me back to the music of the 70s and I love it. Hope I have the chance to see them live.

Welcome to The Warning! As to what to check out next, Disciple live at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX or Evolve at the 2023 MTV VMAs are two of my favorite performances from them. Disciple is great because Dany (guitar) and Pau (drums) trade off lead singing duties and there is the special energy of what was then their biggest show as headliners ever. Their VMA performance cranked the energy even higher, somehow. These ladies just give it their all whenever they're onstage.
Disciple Live at Teatro Metropolitan is probably the best song to watch next. It's the kind of performance that just makes everyone who watches it go "wow" by the end.

Three sisters from Monterrey, MX. They started in 2012. They became The Warning in 2013. Today they are Dany, guitarrist 23, Pau, drummer 21, and Ale, bassist 18. In 2022 they did over 100 gigs in North and South America along with Foo fighters, Halestorm, the Pretty Reckless, Three Days Grace, and Guns ‘n Roses. Earlier this year they did four shows with Muse in Mexico and finished 18 shows on the first US leg of their world tour. They then did concerts throughout Europe including opening for Muse five times in the UK and France. Many of these had 30-60 thousand fans in attendance. They recently completed the second leg of their US tour, played at the MTV VMAs, and opened for Guns N’ Roses. They just finished a spectacular tour of South America and are touring Mexico for the rest of 2023. In February of 2024 they will play Shiprock, a rock cruise; in March 2024 they will play at the P’al Norte Festival in Tecate; and in August 2024 they will play the Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany. All three are classically trained pianists and Dany & Ale have played sax in the past. All three sing lead and background vocals; but Dany is the principal singer. They were inspired by the video game Rock Band and two of their songs are available on Rock Band IV. They appeared on the Ellen Show in 2015. They are fully bilingual as they attended a bilingual Catholic school in Monterrey, Liceo de Monterrey. But later they all graduated high school through home schooling due to their touring schedule. They attended Berklee College of Music Summer Program in Boston in 2015. They started as a cover band. Their cover of Enter Sandman launched their career. They now have 49 original songs in an EP, three albums, two singles, and two unreleased but performed songs. No bad songs. Their newest released single, More, came out May 12th. Two new unreleased songs were debuted at their Guadalajara concert. They have a rich collection of live videos, music videos and lyric videos on their channel. There are also vlogs and individual performances. Any video from the August 2022 concert at the Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City is gold! When not performing they are humble down to earth individuals. Dany is a goofball and sweetheart, Pau talks with passion like a machine gun, and Ale is an introvert and a perfectionist. I agree with all you said friend. Two weeks ago I had no idea they existed. Saw a few thumbnails on reaction channels but never clicked. Finally I did click the official "More" video. I was blown away. Then started with the live stuff. They are my favorite thing on this god forsaken earth at the moment.

Bass player signed with Spector when she was 13. They make a signature bass and have her as one of the 3 featured artists on their website. Lzzy Hale and Matt Bellamy have gifted the lead guitar with special guitars. Metallica took notice of the drummer when she was 12 and talked about her on their socials.

Lzzy Hale gifted Dany the lead singer and guitarist a Gibson Explorer when they toured together. It was a pay it forward for Lzzy had also received one when she was an up-and-coming guitarist with the stipulation that she pay it forward when she met a young guitarist that she seemed worthy. Enter Dany some years later, and as Lzzy says, Dany is an exceptional guitarist.
They don’t have a bad song , so you just randomly pick and you will be very happy . We all have our favorites and it changes slightly over time. As others has said live from the cdmx teatro is the best , any song from that show and there is a lot . TWA!

I would suggest your next reaction to this band be disciple at the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX concert. You may want to check out their opening song Z from the same concert. That one is a banger also and has an insane Dany (the Guitarist) solo. This band just celebrated their 10 year anniversary and even today they are only 23, 21, and 18. Think about that for a minute, that when the band started they were only 13,11, and 8. Incredible. They have such a huge selection of songs and all are fire. Welcome to TWA (The Warning Army).

Great seeing someone discovering The Warning. For future reference for this band always react to the latest live performance from their RUclips channel. They are just one of those rare bands that are just better live.
Excellent reaction. I subscribed, to follow your trip down this rabbit hole. By now, you've probably gotten eye strain and writer's cramp, reading all the comments and writing down all of the suggestions. I've been a rock fan for many, many, many years, long before bands like Metallica came onto the scene and I can truthfully say that none of the bands that I experienced up to now hold a candle to the talent and artistry of The Warning. For suggestions, I'd say "everything", but which video of which song? I mean - they have 49+ original songs and they're all incredible. Even the songs that they first released when they were literally children have exceptional songwriting and musical scores and, even if their voices weren't fully developed for the first few songs, they are exceptionally well done. My bet for a starting point would be to watch their videos from the two songs that they performed on the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards: 'More' and 'Evolve'. The copies of the videos from The Warning's channel seem to have the best audio. For some reason MTV's videos are a little on the quiet side. Grab a few snacks, some drinks and fasten your seatbelt. This is going to be quite the ride. 🙂

Their music videos are awesome, but their live performance are world class. The energy, passion and joy that these sisters play with is second to none. The depth of the Warning rabbit hole might be more than you were expecting. They just celebrated their 10th anniversary as a band, they started when they were just kids, the oldest sister Dany was 13, Pau the drummer was just 11 and Ale the bassist was just 8. Now they are 23, 21 and 18, and are taking the rock world by storm. Great song writers, lyricists, and performers; they really have it all. If you want to get an idea of where they started and where they are now, I recommend watching the video of their Enter Sandman cover they did in 2014 that went viral and kicked things off for them, then watch the modern version that they did for the Metallica Black List album to see how far they have come. Metallica asked them to make it their own, and boy did they! I recommend their Teatro Metropolitan live performance of the song to see a more recent (2022) performance. They are currently working on their 4th album and we of The Warning Army can't wait to hear it.

I’m guessing that you might feel a bit overwhelmed with the response to your reaction, it’s OK TWA loves a good reaction especially if it’s your first time to be WARNED! The two performances from the MTV VMA’s in the order More and then Evolve are a really good way to see them at their full potential; both in the same reaction is icing on the cake for TWA they just ❤ to see multiple reactions! Another great multiple reaction is the 2014 version of their cover of Enter Sandman by Metallica followed by the 2021 official video of the same song featuring Alessia Cara the Canadian R&B singer (they only had 10 days to get this in the can!) it’s the #1 track on Metallica’s Blacklist album! The Warning slay live. Over and over, they win over audiences who had no clue who they are. Many of The Warning Army joined after going out to see Halestorm, Muse or Guns and Roses and getting The Warning in their faces. In Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, The Warning were opening for Three Days Grace. A young guy next to us was going on about having seen Rammstein in Montreal. Then The Warning came on stage. Two songs in, he turned to us and asked, "Why have I never heard of these girls? They're f.ng amazing!", then dove into his phone to check them out. The Warning are very musically diverse and no attempt should be made to pigeon hole them into a specific genre. Yes, a good percentage of their songs are rock to hard rock but there’s some punk, grunge and even metal elements offset nicely by beautiful ballads and slower songs. They pull influences from many different genres and artists and incorporate it into their writing. Dany (guitarist) is the principal lead singer but Pau (drummer) sings or shares lead on several songs. Ale (bass) rarely sings lead and is primarily a backing vocalist but sometimes has small lead snippets inside a song. The normal course is to recommend a song where Pau shares or sings lead so Disciple or Dust to Dust are common. I agree with Disciple being an initial watch for Pau’s rock voice but 23 is a beautiful song lead by Pau which showcases her incredible emotive ballad voice which should be the next in line after Disciple IMO.
Fantastic 1st time reaction to The Warning 555! The Villarreal Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards. Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards. Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing. Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage. After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020. They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track! They have recently finished recording their 4th studio album: no name or release date yet. The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock. Both parents are professionals (recording engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico. They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old. Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC. When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 23, 21 and 18 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #46 original songs (and recently finished recording their 4th studio album). They recently performed 2 songs at the MTV VMA's. I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their 2022 North American MAYDAY Tour and 2023 ERROR WORLD TOUR. Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans. 🗣 Subscribed! 👊😃
You will get steered in the right direction for some great songs and performances for reactions by TWA (The Warning Army). But you definitely need to spend the personal time enjoying their story and seeing their incredible personalities from day 1. You obviously need to watch their cover of Metallica's Enter Sandman that went viral and started it all, but then find the mini-doc called "Their Metallica cover went viral. Here's how they kept rocking" If that isn't enough, there is a 6 part documentary also telling their story that then goes into the making of their 3rd album. Each episode is only about 5 minutes so easy to watch and is on their YT channel. If they pull you in like they did me and many others in TWA, then just be warned - pun intended - the rabbit hole is deep and permanent. And even if their music turns out to be not your thing, there's just no way you can't be moved by their story and personalities.

Videos are good, but live is the way to go with this Band. I would suggest "Evolve" live from 2023 VMA awards or "Disciple" live from Teatro Metropolitan . Any song from the Teatro venue is a great pick. They have 22 songs from that concert on their channel.
*Choke* is about those times when you are overwhelmed by things in life (like being overwhelmed by TWA rolling in 😹) and you want/need to work through it all by yourself without others trying to help... "just let me drown" in my troubles... *a little history:* many of us (shout out to TWA aka The Warning Army!) have been following DPA/TW (Dany, Pau [like "POW!"], and Ale [like "Ah leh"] aka "The Warning"), three sisters from Monterrey Mexico, since or before their first videos as a band started to hit the streams back in 2012... they are, to many of us, like daughters, nieces, or grand-daughters... in 2014 a video of them doing a cover of Metallica's *Enter Sandman* from the "Black" album went viral... they did a few other covers but were also writing their own music, as well... they decided pretty early to not become known as a cover band... so they started releasing their own music... in 2021, DPA/TW answered a call from Metallica to take a song, any song, from the "Black" album, twist it around, upside down, and backward... keep the lyrics but make it something else... DPA/TW teamed up with Alessia Cara, a Canadian Pop and R&B artist, to reimagine *Enter Sandman* as a more haunting, eerie, and dark lullaby than the metal original... they did this in 10 days, during Covid, with Alessia working from remote in Canada... today, Nov 2023, there are four renditions of *Enter Sandman* done by DPA/TW... the original true cover that went viral, the OMV of the reimagined with Alessia, DPA/TW playing it live in concert, and the latest one with an added 10-piece string section accompanying in concert... all of the concert renditions somehow come out even darker and more foreboding, bringing almost constant chills to some fans when they hear or experience it... DPA/TW started with music at a very young age... like 3 and 5 for Pau (drums) and Dany (guitar)... Ale (bass) wasn't even born yet... they started with piano and classical music... Ale also started on piano when she was old enough... as a family, they used to watch concerts on TV together... music has always been a part of their lives and they are influenced by many bands from years past... then came the game, Rock Band, which Dany and Pau played all the time with Ale watching and clapping along... Pau gravitated to the drums and Dany the guitar... Ale chose the bass even though she didn't know what it was at first... the bass was Ale's second choice for an instrument... originally she wanted to play the harp... they couldn't find anyone to teach her harp, though, so the bass it is, to everyone's delight! her original 4-string bass was a 1/2 size bass which was quite big for her... later she went to a 3/4 size 4-string bass... today, Ale has several bass guitars but she mostly plays her Specter 5-string... since she was 15 years old, Ale is a Specter Featured Artist... her Specter bass has a 35" neck on it and the coloring on the body is named "Ale's Inferno"... not long after Ale started playing the bass, the girls realized they had all they needed to form a band and here we are, today... Pau is a powerful force behind her drums... in her younger days, she was likened to "Animal", the drummer on The Muppets... she put her entire body into every stroke... it was quite joyful watching her in action... she has refined her form in recent times but she still has a powerful swing and a much stronger sound... some like to say that "she beats her drums like they owe her money!" LOL since she has refined her form, she also doesn't break as many sticks as she used to... when she did break one, she seamlessly replaced it without losing a beat and many times no one ever even noticed... pure professionalism, there... in one of their interviews, Pau comments about having been playing the drums for 13 years... that was two years ago so she has 15 years under her belt, now... Pau also takes lead vocals on several songs while she is playing her drums... there are not very many singing drummers in the world, today... she does aerobic exercises and running while singing to keep up her stamina and breath control... she's been singing while playing the drums since her early years... you can find videos of Pau doing drum covers when she is like 8 or 9 years old... Dany is a goofball and total guitar nerd... she has numerous guitars in her arsenal... PRS, Rick Toon Spearfish, Manson, Gibson Explorer (gift from Lzzy Hale of Halestorm), and more recently, a mustard yellow Manson was given to her by Matt Bellamy of Muse, one of the band's bigger influences... DPA/TW have covered several of Muse's songs and more recently they have opened for Muse in Mexico and the UK numerous times... hearing Dany make her Mansons sing is quite the treat... especially when seeing them live... Dany is also the main lead singer for the group... she has quite a range (one vocal coach says Dany can hit D5) and can growl or put gravel in her tone when needed... she easily expresses emotions with her voice and her facial expressions drive it all home while she is singing... Ale and Dany both use Orange Amps to drive their sound... the three of them, together, create a huge wall of sound that flat out pummels you when you see them live... today the girls are 23 (Dany - Jan 30 2000), 21 (Pau - Feb 5 2002), and 18 (Ale - Dec 13 2004)... they have just released the full concert they did at the Teatro Metropolitan (Metropolitan Theater) in CDMX (Mexico City) back in Aug 2022... Mexico City (2240m, 7350ft) is higher in altitude than Denver, Colorado (1609m, 5280ft)! certainly higher than their home town of Monterrey, Mexico (540m, 1770ft)... this is mentioned because of the altitude and thin air... when doing strenuous activities, you need more air... in some of their early concerts, you can tell the altitude catches them out a bit... you can find their recent Aug 2022 concert on DPA/TW's YT Videos page as individual videos of the songs or as one video of the entire concert with opening and closing BTS (behind the scenes) added... they may also have a playlist of the individuals so they can be viewed in proper setlist order... the Met Theater in CDMX holds like 3500 and sold out both nights they played (Aug 26th and 29th)... some huge milestones took place at the 2023 MTV VMAs... 1) The Warning were invited to play two of their songs on the Extended Stage... 2) they were the only ones to play that were not nominated for anything... 3) they are the first Mexican band to perform at the MTV VMAs... those are all quite the achievements! for the VMAs performance, there were four takes shot... two 45 second ones for broadcast and two full length ones for each of their songs, *MORE* and *Evolve* which MTV has posted to their YT channel... DPA/TW have a working relationship with Pepsi in Mexico and have shot several commercials for them... this relationship plus being signed with Lava helped greatly with this milestone in their career, i'm sure... additionally, this summer (of 2023), they were the first Mexican band to play "Rock am Ring" and "Rock im Park" in Germany in 20 years... they have also been invited to play at the 2024 Wacken Open Air metal festival which is also held in Germany... currently they are completing their fourth album and finishing up their "Error" World Tour which has taken them all over the Americas, the UK, and Europe... i still can't believe it has been 10 years! it seems like only yesterday i was watching a very young Pau beating her drums into submission and then seeing videos of all three of them playing together as they started their journey... the rabbit hole is deep and quite enjoyable! come on in, there's plenty of room for more! 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

Welcome to The Warning! As to what to check out next, Disciple live at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX or Evolve at the 2023 MTV VMAs are two of my favorite performances from them. Disciple is great because Dany (guitar) and Pau (drums) trade off lead singing duties and there is the special energy of what was then their biggest show as headliners ever. Their VMA performance cranked the energy even higher, somehow. These ladies just give it their all whenever they're onstage.
Exactly the recommendation I came here to make.
They are so much better live, and those two songs you mentioned really showcase what the band does.
Disciple Live at Teatro Metropolitan is probably the best song to watch next. It's the kind of performance that just makes everyone who watches it go "wow" by the end.

Three sisters from Monterrey, MX. They started in 2012. They became The Warning in 2013. Today they are Dany, guitarrist 23, Pau, drummer 21, and Ale, bassist 18.
In 2022 they did over 100 gigs in North and South America along with Foo fighters, Halestorm, the Pretty Reckless, Three Days Grace, and Guns ‘n Roses. Earlier this year they did four shows with Muse in Mexico and finished 18 shows on the first US leg of their world tour. They then did concerts throughout Europe including opening for Muse five times in the UK and France. Many of these had 30-60 thousand fans in attendance. They recently completed the second leg of their US tour, played at the MTV VMAs, and opened for Guns N’ Roses. They just finished a spectacular tour of South America and are touring Mexico for the rest of 2023. In February of 2024 they will play Shiprock, a rock cruise; in March 2024 they will play at the P’al Norte Festival in Tecate; and in August 2024 they will play the Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany.
All three are classically trained pianists and Dany & Ale have played sax in the past. All three sing lead and background vocals; but Dany is the principal singer. They were inspired by the video game Rock Band and two of their songs are available on Rock Band IV. They appeared on the Ellen Show in 2015.
They are fully bilingual as they attended a bilingual Catholic school in Monterrey, Liceo de Monterrey. But later they all graduated high school through home schooling due to their touring schedule. They attended Berklee College of Music Summer Program in Boston in 2015.
They started as a cover band. Their cover of Enter Sandman launched their career. They now have 49 original songs in an EP, three albums, two singles, and two unreleased but performed songs. No bad songs. Their newest released single, More, came out May 12th. Two new unreleased songs were debuted at their Guadalajara concert. They have a rich collection of live videos, music videos and lyric videos on their channel. There are also vlogs and individual performances. Any video from the August 2022 concert at the Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City is gold!
When not performing they are humble down to earth individuals. Dany is a goofball and sweetheart, Pau talks with passion like a machine gun, and Ale is an introvert and a perfectionist.

I was blown away. Then started with the live stuff. They are my favorite thing on this god forsaken earth at the moment.

Bass player signed with Spector when she was 13. They make a signature bass and have her as one of the 3 featured artists on their website. Lzzy Hale and Matt Bellamy have gifted the lead guitar with special guitars. Metallica took notice of the drummer when she was 12 and talked about her on their socials.

Lzzy Hale gifted Dany the lead singer and guitarist a Gibson Explorer when they toured together. It was a pay it forward for Lzzy had also received one when she was an up-and-coming guitarist with the stipulation that she pay it forward when she met a young guitarist that she seemed worthy. That one is a banger also and has an insane Dany (the Guitarist) solo. This band just celebrated their 10 year anniversary and even today they are only 23, 21, and 18. Excellent reaction. I subscribed, to follow your trip down this rabbit hole. By now, you've probably gotten eye strain and writer's cramp, reading all the comments and writing down all of the suggestions. I've been a rock fan for many, many, many years, long before bands like Metallica came onto the scene and I can truthfully say that none of the bands that I experienced up to now hold a candle to the talent and artistry of The Warning. For suggestions, I'd say "everything", but which video of which song? I mean - they have 49+ original songs and they're all incredible. Even the songs that they first released when they were literally children have exceptional songwriting and musical scores and, even if their voices weren't fully developed for the first few songs, they are exceptionally well done. My bet for a starting point would be to watch their videos from the two songs that they performed on the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards: 'More' and 'Evolve'. The copies of the videos from The Warning's channel seem to have the best audio. For some reason MTV's videos are a little on the quiet side. Grab a few snacks, some drinks and fasten your seatbelt. This is going to be quite the ride. 🙂

The depth of the Warning rabbit hole might be more than you were expecting. They just celebrated their 10th anniversary as a band, they started when they were just kids, the oldest sister Dany was 13, Pau the drummer was just 11 and Ale the bassist was just 8. Now they are 23, 21 and 18, and are taking the rock world by storm. Great song writers, lyricists, and performers; they really have it all. If you want to get an idea of where they started and where they are now, I recommend watching the video of their Enter Sandman cover they did in 2014 that went viral and kicked things off for them, then watch the modern version that they did for the Metallica Black List album to see how far they have come. Metallica asked them to make it their own, and boy did they! I recommend their Teatro Metropolitan live performance of the song to see a more recent (2022) performance. They are currently working on their 4th album and we of The Warning Army can't wait to hear it.

The two performances from the MTV VMA’s in the order More and then Evolve are a really good way to see them at their full potential; both in the same reaction is icing on the cake for TWA they just ❤ to see multiple reactions! Another great multiple reaction is the 2014 version of their cover of Enter Sandman by Metallica followed by the 2021 official video of the same song featuring Alessia Cara the Canadian R&B singer (they only had 10 days to get this in the can!) it’s the #1 track on Metallica’s Blacklist album! Then the 2022 cover of the same song at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX. I’ve not included links because in the past the YT auto censors have removed my post!

The Warning slay live. Over and over, they win over audiences who had no clue who they are. Many of The Warning Army joined after going out to see Halestorm, Muse or Guns and Roses and getting The Warning in their faces. In Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, The Warning were opening for Three Days Grace. A young guy next to us was going on about having seen Rammstein in Montreal. Then The Warning came on stage. Two songs in, he turned to us and asked, "Why have I never heard of these girls? They're f.ng amazing!", then dove into his phone to check them out. The Warning are very musically diverse and no attempt should be made to pigeon hole them into a specific genre.
Yes, a good percentage of their songs are rock to hard rock but there’s some punk, grunge and even metal elements offset nicely by beautiful ballads and slower songs.
They pull influences from many different genres and artists and incorporate it into their writing.
Dany (guitarist) is the principal lead singer but Pau (drummer) sings or shares lead on several songs. Ale (bass) rarely sings lead and is primarily a backing vocalist but sometimes has small lead snippets inside a song.
The normal course is to recommend a song where Pau shares or sings lead so Disciple or Dust to Dust are common.
I agree with Disciple being an initial watch for Pau’s rock voice but 23 is a beautiful song lead by Pau which showcases her incredible emotive ballad voice which should be the next in line after Disciple IMO.

The Villarreal Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards.
Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards.
Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing.
Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage.
After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020.
They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track!
They have recently finished recording their 4th studio album: no name or release date yet.
The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock.
Both parents are professionals (recording engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico.
They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old.
Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC.
When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 23, 21 and 18 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #46 original songs (and recently finished recording their 4th studio album). They recently performed 2 songs at the MTV VMA's.
I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their 2022 North American MAYDAY Tour and 2023 ERROR WORLD TOUR.
Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans.

You will get steered in the right direction for some great songs and performances for reactions by TWA (The Warning Army). But you definitely need to spend the personal time enjoying their story and seeing their incredible personalities from day 1. You obviously need to watch their cover of Metallica's Enter Sandman that went viral and started it all, but then find the mini-doc called "Their Metallica cover went viral. Here's how they kept rocking" If that isn't enough, there is a 6 part documentary also telling their story that then goes into the making of their 3rd album. Each episode is only about 5 minutes so easy to watch and is on their YT channel. If they pull you in like they did me and many others in TWA, then just be warned - pun intended - the rabbit hole is deep and permanent. And even if their music turns out to be not your thing, there's just no way you can't be moved by their story and personalities.

Videos are good, but live is the way to go with this Band. I would suggest "Evolve" live from 2023 VMA awards or "Disciple" live from Teatro Metropolitan . Any song from the Teatro venue is a great pick. They have 22 songs from that concert on their channel.
*Choke* is about those times when you are overwhelmed by things in life (like being overwhelmed by TWA rolling in 😹) and you want/need to work through it all by yourself without others trying to help... "just let me drown" in my troubles... "advice is overpriced"... i'll get through it my way, don't try to help... it is a song about emotional and mental strength... other original songs of similar nature are TW's *Evolve* and *Survive* 😹

I see The Warning Army has already arrived. They should be releasing a new album early next year followed by a new tour of North America to support the album. Do not miss your chance to see them live if they come anywhere near you.

*a little history:*
many of us (shout out to TWA aka The Warning Army!) have been following DPA/TW (Dany, Pau [like "POW!"], and Ale [like "Ah leh"] aka "The Warning"), three sisters from Monterrey Mexico, since or before their first videos as a band started to hit the streams back in 2012... they are, to many of us, like daughters, nieces, or grand-daughters...
in 2014 a video of them doing a cover of Metallica's *Enter Sandman* from the "Black" album went viral... they did a few other covers but were also writing their own music, as well... they decided pretty early to not become known as a cover band... so they started releasing their own music...
in 2021, DPA/TW answered a call from Metallica to take a song, any song, from the "Black" album, twist it around, upside down, and backward... keep the lyrics but make it something else... DPA/TW teamed up with Alessia Cara, a Canadian Pop and R&B artist, to reimagine *Enter Sandman* as a more haunting, eerie, and dark lullaby than the metal original... they did this in 10 days, during Covid, with Alessia working from remote in Canada... today, Nov 2023, there are four renditions of *Enter Sandman* done by DPA/TW... the original true cover that went viral, the OMV of the reimagined with Alessia, DPA/TW playing it live in concert, and the latest one with an added 10-piece string section accompanying in concert... all of the concert renditions somehow come out even darker and more foreboding, bringing almost constant chills to some fans when they hear or experience it...
DPA/TW started with music at a very young age... like 3 and 5 for Pau (drums) and Dany (guitar)... Ale (bass) wasn't even born yet... they started with piano and classical music... Ale also started on piano when she was old enough... as a family, they used to watch concerts on TV together... music has always been a part of their lives and they are influenced by many bands from years past... then came the game, Rock Band, which Dany and Pau played all the time with Ale watching and clapping along...
Pau gravitated to the drums and Dany the guitar... Ale chose the bass even though she didn't know what it was at first... the bass was Ale's second choice for an instrument... originally she wanted to play the harp... they couldn't find anyone to teach her harp, though, so the bass it is, to everyone's delight! her original 4-string bass was a 1/2 size bass which was quite big for her... later she went to a 3/4 size 4-string bass... today, Ale has several bass guitars but she mostly plays her Specter 5-string... since she was 15 years old, Ale is a Specter Featured Artist... her Specter bass has a 35" neck on it and the coloring on the body is named "Ale's Inferno"... not long after Ale started playing the bass, the girls realized they had all they needed to form a band and here we are, today...
Pau is a powerful force behind her drums... in her younger days, she was likened to "Animal", the drummer on The Muppets... she put her entire body into every stroke... it was quite joyful watching her in action... she has refined her form in recent times but she still has a powerful swing and a much stronger sound... some like to say that "she beats her drums like they owe her money!" LOL since she has refined her form, she also doesn't break as many sticks as she used to... when she did break one, she seamlessly replaced it without losing a beat and many times no one ever even noticed... pure professionalism, there... in one of their interviews, Pau comments about having been playing the drums for 13 years... that was two years ago so she has 15 years under her belt, now... Pau also takes lead vocals on several songs while she is playing her drums... there are not very many singing drummers in the world, today... she does aerobic exercises and running while singing to keep up her stamina and breath control... she's been singing while playing the drums since her early years... you can find videos of Pau doing drum covers when she is like 8 or 9 years old...
Dany is a goofball and total guitar nerd... she has numerous guitars in her arsenal... PRS, Rick Toon Spearfish, Manson, Gibson Explorer (gift from Lzzy Hale of Halestorm), and more recently, a mustard yellow Manson was given to her by Matt Bellamy of Muse, one of the band's bigger influences... DPA/TW have covered several of Muse's songs and more recently they have opened for Muse in Mexico and the UK numerous times... hearing Dany make her Mansons sing is quite the treat... especially when seeing them live... Dany is also the main lead singer for the group... she has quite a range (one vocal coach says Dany can hit D5) and can growl or put gravel in her tone when needed... she easily expresses emotions with her voice and her facial expressions drive it all home while she is singing...
Ale and Dany both use Orange Amps to drive their sound... the three of them, together, create a huge wall of sound that flat out pummels you when you see them live...
today the girls are 23 (Dany - Jan 30 2000), 21 (Pau - Feb 5 2002), and 18 (Ale - Dec 13 2004)... they have just released the full concert they did at the Teatro Metropolitan (Metropolitan Theater) in CDMX (Mexico City) back in Aug 2022... Mexico City (2240m, 7350ft) is higher in altitude than Denver, Colorado (1609m, 5280ft)! certainly higher than their home town of Monterrey, Mexico (540m, 1770ft)... this is mentioned because of the altitude and thin air... when doing strenuous activities, you need more air... in some of their early concerts, you can tell the altitude catches them out a bit... you can find their recent Aug 2022 concert on DPA/TW's YT Videos page as individual videos of the songs or as one video of the entire concert with opening and closing BTS (behind the scenes) added... they may also have a playlist of the individuals so they can be viewed in proper setlist order... the Met Theater in CDMX holds like 3500 and sold out both nights they played (Aug 26th and 29th)...
some huge milestones took place at the 2023 MTV VMAs... 1) The Warning were invited to play two of their songs on the Extended Stage... 2) they were the only ones to play that were not nominated for anything... 3) they are the first Mexican band to perform at the MTV VMAs... those are all quite the achievements! for the VMAs performance, there were four takes shot... two 45 second ones for broadcast and two full length ones for each of their songs, *MORE* and *Evolve* which MTV has posted to their YT channel... DPA/TW have a working relationship with Pepsi in Mexico and have shot several commercials for them... this relationship plus being signed with Lava helped greatly with this milestone in their career, i'm sure...
additionally, this summer (of 2023), they were the first Mexican band to play "Rock am Ring" and "Rock im Park" in Germany in 20 years... they have also been invited to play at the 2024 Wacken Open Air metal festival which is also held in Germany... currently they are completing their fourth album and finishing up their "Error" World Tour which has taken them all over the Americas, the UK, and Europe...
i still can't believe it has been 10 years! it seems like only yesterday i was watching a very young Pau beating her drums into submission and then seeing videos of all three of them playing together as they started their journey...
the rabbit hole is deep and quite enjoyable! come on in, there's plenty of room for more! 😹
