I am a firefighter by profession over here in Blighty (that’s England, the people who used to rule the world, until you bloody Muricans stole it 😂). Anyways, three years ago whilst on a 11pm call to a fire in a three bedroom house, myself and a colleague entered the building as we knew there was a young 4yo boy trapped in the upstairs bathroom. I suffered third degree burns on my left hand, and on my upper left thigh, but the boy (his name was Steven) was perfectly fine if a little distressed and scared. I got disciplined whilst in hospital……..however, and this is my point of this comment….
Steven’s older sister (who was outside screaming during the incident) found out I was in the hospital and she came to visit me……
