Grey was there when Tim was considering moving to NYC with Rachel, he was there when Ashley asked Tim to retire, and he was there when Tim chose Lucy over his career path. He sees what’s going on. Grey knows.
The parallels are uncanny. When he asked about a parallel transfer to NYC He was really confused and conflicted about what to do. When he went to Grey about moving from over Lucy command he didn't give a second thought of what the position was. He didn't even care. It goes to show the true love that he has for her and how selfless he is when it comes to her. He was willing to give it all up just to be with her. I love the background music. It complimented the scenes beautifully ❤️❤️❤️
Tim was pretty serious about transferring out with Rachel even though we want to forget it. He just wasn't as emotionally invested in her as he is with Lucy giving up his Sergeant position once he passed his exam wanting to continue training Lucy and now so they can stay close together. He didn't even make it to his last dinner with Rachel or properly have time to say goodbye because of what came up at work that night. He and Lucy both have been glued to each other even before acknowledging his real feelings. Loved it!💕
I agree with most of what you said, except the first sentence. Tim wasn't exactly serious about transferring to NYC for Rachel. He asked Grey about it and realized it would be too big a sacrifice to make. With Lucy, he didn't even hesitate because she's worth it ❤️
I ACTUALLY hve thot Sgt Grey has had suspicions, that deep down Tim had feelings 4 Lucy & vice versa, whn he told Grey he wzn't quite ready 2 move up 2 Sargent. He had scoring 8th out of 140 officers & Grey tells him he can put a good word 4 him in the Hollywood Division cuz they had position but asks Grey if can think abt Ty his overnite. He tells Lucy at the end, his reason, it wz b/c he hadn't finished training her, yet! Tim didn't even want 2 leave the same station as L then. Bishop obviously cldn't finish training N & Lopez decided finally got what she'd bin striving 4 & wanting 4 a long time, 2b a Detective. Jackson had a mth 2 go. Harper also told Grey that when she came bk from maternity leave, she realy wanted 2 stay w/ the Detectives. Sgt Grey knew her & told he'd get sumone else 2 finish Thorsen's training. what wz supposed 2b Lopez & Wesley's wedding Lucy talks very.briefly w/ Grey & Harper, esp after finishing her 2st solo uc job. BUT as soon as she saw Tim" Lucy said, "Excuse me " Grey REALLY turns 2 look & it does look obvious that they both liked each other again!! I did think due 2 his position, G wldn't say anything unless sumone else told him they were dating due 2 his position he dozn't, he can't just be like a buddy 2 Tim. BUT...I LOVED how Tim took the initiative & went 2 tell Sgt Grey 1st, knowing, Lucy wz going 2 put in a transfer the next morning. He DIDN'T hesitate at all, when Grey says, "I take it then it's serious, " mmediately Tim says "yes" unequivocally. BUT... u can tell Tim HIGHLY respects Grey.& he died believes in rules & in the chain of command & addresses Grey as "Sir" whn telling him why he'd bin keeping this from him 4 a few wks, cuz they both needed 2c how they really felt. In season 2, "Casualties" Lucy asks him why r u 2 blame 4 Mitch losing his leg?! L says sumthing bk & T says, "Rules matte.".Lucy responds, "Then what the hell r u doing here. T says, "Sumthings matter more." Not telling Grey they'd bin dating a few wks. Plus, Grey wz the 1 whom Tim said whn he looked terrified & cldn't move in the hospital, "Don't tell Lucy what's going on. He knew she'd WORRY all the more!!! & again, L dozn't want Tim 2 leave the station cuz there wz no other Sargent position available & T dozn't want Lucy 2 leave the station. Some things were more important 2 Tim & some ppl, were more important 2 Tim seeing Grey, he apologizes 4 keeping this from him & why they lied. But equally he understands that he can't be in the same chain as command as her.

I forgot about a lot of these little moments and didn't notice the others reactions to Lucy & Tim's dynamic because I was totally focussed on Lucy and Tim in their scenes 🤦🏼♀️😂 This is such a lovely video- really brings it together 👏👏👏 Grey's known from the get go 😂 They're adorable.

The way Tim was like when Lucy was kidnapped and buried alive that wasn’t just a T.O that was his real feelings for Lucy threatening to pull someone’s insides out. And when he was holding Lucy when Lucy had snuggled herself right into Tim, Tim was crying. Rewatched that episode Wednesday.
Ohhh.. I just realize something, before Grey called Tim and Lucy re Celina and Aaron, they're with Nolan.. Nolan is the TO of Celina not Lucy .. I think Grey already know because of that date 😆
