At that point the blond chick had already left Tim..while he was in the hospital recovering from being shot...because that was classy...but by having them finally sit down together and acknowledge the feelings they have and then making her single before they went on a real date, it shows that Tim really respects her. He could have slept with her under cover and she would have let him, but he wanted it to be real.

I agree, the spark was there when she was assigned, but neither acknowledged it, it was not conscious. But it was beautiful and awesome the way their love and respect grew. I just pray that the writers keep us on our toes when it comes to their love story. And funny how everyone saw it before they acknowledged it, how Tim denied it and Lucy worked on getting him hitch with others, but she felt the pain (jealous) when he did go out with the other girls, that was the part I enjoyed the most.
