Good Video. I went skiing at Okemo this winter, but on a weekday. Got in top lot at around noon. I drove out from NH. We are heading up this weekend to ski the storm on Saturday. Fortunately, I booked us a room at Jackson Gore so we should be all set through Apri Ski Band at Jackson Gore 3-5PM. Woot woot.
It's amazing you didn't let the parking ordeal ruin your day! I would've driven the 4 hours back and ranted about them to everyone who would listen haha
Okemo lifts open at 8am on weekends, and 9am during the week. That is the problem, you got there late on a Saturday (Saturdays are notoriously busy). The parking can be bad, but the mountain definitely makes up for it. I'm lucky to be able to go mid-week. No lines, ski right on.
Parking was fine until recently. I think it was when Epic Northeast Value Pass started selling for cheap the year after COVID that things got crazy. Honestly, the fact that the parking lot wasn't that much emptier the year of COVID restrictions should have been the tip-off. Sunapee, Okemo's sister mountain in NH, got jammed full about the same time.
This year the parking on weekends is hell . I was at Sugarbush and Killington and found the same exact thing…. I have been skiing for years and never seen anything this bad.i

Haha, I was tempted to! But I ended up enjoying the skiing after all.. lol

Another major flaw is lack of lift to the peak.everyone must use bunny lift from base to access good lifts. I believe they are trying to remedy this

Add stowe to the bad parking list and probably the majority of epic mts. Ikon on weekends not much better
