I’ve shared this video with my fellow comic lovers because none of them knew what I was talking about and now they’re watching the video to learn how awesome it is. Thanks and Rob and everyone did such a great job with this!
@@niuginigaming dude does an amazing job of bringing the visuals in audio format. I'm usually listening to these videos while doing something and I don't need to see a comic panel to understand what's going on. His channel is basically an audio book for comics which in the famous words of the mad lad "is really cool!". I currently gaming atm and just got finished with his epic Green Lantern 9 hour video and now I'm here.
Hey, Rob! I just finished this massive remaster, you did a great job. I've read Hickman's New Avengers part the last episodes of Secret Wars. I appreciate you filling in all the episodes and details I missed.
The work that goes into these videos are crazy, as someone who edits Ik how annoying it can be to export and upload videos that are hours long. Love these long full story videos, there great to be able to keep coming back to the video I’m watching throughout the day. Thx for your hard work Rob :)
8:13:11 one of my all time favorite Spider-Man moments. The fact Miles has had a hamburger in his pocket this whole time and forgot about it is so in character. Not to mention Peter’s disbelief and analysis of how old the burger they just fed to molecule man is hilarious.
There is so much going on with this story and it's pretty impressive. Really enjoyed the story, I remember reading secret wars itself but not a lot of the backstory. It's nice to get the history.
I'm a meat cutter, stand in a room cutting steaks all day and I love Robs ability to showcase everything that's happening, where I can work and enjoy the entire mcu from his words... thank you sir
The best run in comics ever. I remember it concluded while I was in a fire academy. I had to wait till I graduated to find out the ending. Thanks for remastering this for posterity sake. A good listen at 1.5 speed while drawing my own comic!
Rob, man let me tell you something, ROB when you put these full length stories together . . . It’s like god is putting these stories together and telling them with his sexy ass voice!
I work a hour shift where I’m basically alone with no one to talk to because I listen to music in the shower and driving I get tired of listening to it at work . Videos rob makes like this help my day fly by. Honestly he’s making hate 30 min videos I think they’re short videos now 😅😅😅
The last few days I have been listening/watching this. Man, do I gotta tell ya. When you get excited about something that is about to happen in the comic, I get super pumped for what your about to talk about next. Love the energy man. Thank you for uploading 9 hour videos for me to watch!
So Rob, this video embodies everything I absolutely LOVE about comics and about what you do with your channel. I agree with you: this could be the single greatest comic epic yet made. A tale that encompasses everything and dropping very, very few balls along the way. I've really been burning through your videos lately because as much as I want to go out and just absorb all these comics, between work, school and my own writing, I just don't have the time. What YOU do so well is to tell these stories with true excitement, understanding and critical analysis of the characters, their motivations and why any of it matters in the greater comic landscape and in this 9 hour epic, you did that with perfection. I have many influences for my writing, but I'm hoping more and more that I can be more like Hickman, the kind of writer who truly sees and plans for the long game while staying true to his characters and realistically portrays their motivations. Awesome, awesome video, brother!!! Go Big Blue and keep these coming (but go easy on yourself in the process haha).
I don''t really read comics ( but watch MCU movies) I am here to congratulate and appreciate this guy for his passion and dedication. It''s, it's Legendary!
I've been into marvel comics stuff since I've been a kid now here I am driving truck for a living spacing out the window as I drive listening to your stories. Great replacement from music when I need a break, from music. Thanks for the entertainment. The longer the stories the better so I don't have to play with my phone looking for another story while driving. This stories took me like 2 weeks to finish. Keep the stories coming
Hey Rob, big fan. I love downloading these and listening to them at work! I had a problem with this one when you were talking about the infinity gauntlet the first time, as I’m also a huge destiny 2 fan and got distracted by the music…. Thanks for making my work days less boring! Keep up the good work!
I just got done reading the entire run in omnibus format + the SW hardcover. came back to this to recap everything and get robs pov on it all. Best Avengers run ever written hands down. From the heartbreak from Tchalla not being able to pull the trigger on the first Hero world incursion, to the multiverse ending with Tony and Cap fighting it out until the very end of literally everything, then to Doom shaping the new universe in his own image, Jesus this run is heartbreaking and the very best ive ever read.
Just want you to know, this is easily the 24th time I’ve watched (well, listened really) and rewatched this 9hr video over the course of the last six months or so…still AWESOME every. Single. Time. Thanks bud, I really appreciate you makin this and I love how you (re)tell these stories and I watch most of ‘em. The FULL Venom story (King in Black) is pretty badass too. Keep it up bud. -Dustin Dallas Racca
1 of the many things I'd appreciated from this storyline is that they made 1 of my favorite Mutants, Sunspot, an Avenger & made him a leader of the team in this storyline for a time. If you don't know who I'm talking about, Sunspot's mutation is that he is the physical embodiment of the sun & 1 of the most powerful Mutants out there. He can also fly, superhuman peak strength (NOT Superstrength), energy manipulation, absorption, redirection & rechanneling. You would've seen him in "X-Men: Days Of Future Past" & "The New Mutants" (both comics & books). He's top Alpha level but no Omega level, which I don't know how.
Sunspot does have Superstrength! That was his Original mutation! To convert Solar energy into Superstrength! The External Gideon experimented on him thinking he was 1 as well! That furthered his mutation to Flight, discharge of Solarblasts, and Strength augmented further! would say he as strong if not stronger than Colossus! On flip side his best friend Cannonball is an External! A mutant who in addition to their base mutation is effectively Immortal as well! Wonder how that would effect his child with Smasher of Shiar! Who"s the 1st Human to join Imperialguard!
Thank you Rob. I listen to ALL of SECRET WARS FULL STORY, & I enjoyed every minute of it. I love listening to your passion & enthusiasm for the story. It's 1:26am Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, And I started listening to the full story yesterday around lunch time with a few pauses in between. I love listing to Comics Explained. Yvonne
I never got a chance to read comics as a kid and my only knowledge of these characters were the MCU and some of what I was told by my dad. Having Rob tell these stories are way more captivating and interesting than anything Disney has done with marvel! If marvel adapted these stories in their entirety would be so damn cool! I haven’t watched any of the MCU after endgame.
so the univereses coliding essencially backs up he who remains/'kang's explanation in final thor season 1 episode - essentially foreshadowing this type of universe vs universe battle / eventuality? I could see other deviants of certain mcu people fighting and killing each other, but i would think they would use spiderman (and the other 2 spidermen, along with maybe an apprentice morales to convince them all (the spidermen) to buck this trend, essentially becoming the glue that holds the avengers together and allows for multi same person avengers to team up. We saw what the loki's did, 4 of them - or was it three? teamed up and listened to his reason - i imagine that some characters that is easier for than others - i can imagine that hulk has a number of varients that have not made the progress he has made and that being a whole mini army they have to deal with. I'm sure there are some others - possibly some evil starks... i wonder if moonknight's multi personality is acually different varients trapped in one universal timeline and he potentially has more than 3 (like 3000 possible people hiding in there). I cant concentrate on any one thing and i go off in all directions once they established time travel and multiverse - damn you marvel! the good thing is i no longer care about when the winds of winter is coming out ... ill be stuck on this stuff for the next 4 years it seems..
I can't believed I listened to the whole thing. You did a great job narrating the story. Only thing I wish you mentioned is what happened to starbrand, Thor and Hyperion. Other than that, amazing job!!
Drinking game (day shift edition + OT): Take a sip each time we come across "Probably the coolest moment in the whole story" Loved the video, thanks for showcasing this run :)

They’re exactly what I’m looking for when I search for “Secret Wars 2015 full story” or “Immortal Hulk full story”
It’s going to be awesome watching this on the big screen. Even if they mix the old secret wars with this, it’s going to be great! Everything is starting to make sense! Thank you for what you do!
I'm really starting to get hooked on these major videos you do. Started with king in black at maybe 6 hrs and now this 9 hr run of new avengers and secret wars, it's amazing. Keep up the good work Rob.
On my third rewatch of this video now and I must say this is the best story I've ever heard by a long shot. Praying the mcu stays as faithful to this as possible
So Rob keeps using the analogy of "If my family is hungry I'm not making a sandwich for the kid across the street". That's a false equivalent, a correct analogy would be invading your neighbors home and raiding it, but in order to get the goods you have to utterly annihilate them. Unfortunately, many people would even still reason this would be acceptable given a desperate circumstance. When in fact it represents the worst possible response to a desperate situation and unquestionably immoral. There is no reason for mass murder. Period. This storyline really left a pit in my stomach, not only due to the moral reasoning of so many long beloved characters, and how those on the proper side of the moral equation are pretty much belittled throughout the story, but also by how many including Rob himself seemed to side with the universe destroyers so readily and easily, as if it was an obvious take. Everyone has a right to believe what they will, just expressing mine. Scary stuff man.
Agreed. The fact that there are so many alternatives (leaving the planet, moving to a new planet, moving universes, etc.) is such a huge plot hole that I cannot get over. For god’s sake, they had the infinity gauntlet. You’re telling me that the smartest people in the marvel universe didn’t think of making another planet instantly inhabitable and have everyone and everything transported to this new planet? Destroy your own earth after. You don’t need it! Instead, failing to push the incurring planet away is the best they can come up with? When did simple solutions leave the minds of these supposedly ingenious characters? When did the difficulty of a task move it out of the reach of moral arbitration? I get that in the end, None of it matters, but for these types of things to not even be truly considered is something I don’t think I can reckon with.
@@ishanmaddalwar8196 I totally agree with you, though I think you may have missed the part of my comment where I said to destroy your own earth after making a new planet habitable. No earth = no incursion point, as they would just pass by each other and everyone gets to live. I think it reads like a throwaway comment in my original post, but I actually meant it. It's sort of like the Asgard plotline, where they talk about home being the people and not the planet. With the gauntlet, I really believe they could have done this.
I love these full story compilation videos, but I think we SERIOUSLY need time stamps AND links in descriptions for all the side stories mentioned but not gone through in that video, and more importantly links for whatever story is chronologically right before and right after the current one. I've had so much trouble getting to watch these in proper order and it can ruin some stories for me when I'm left missing the lead up or the follow ups after stories.
@@maldor56 it'd be helpful. I'm just over an hour in, and he's already jumped a couple of times. It's kinda confusing. Obviously he doesn't have to, but it would be better for the quality of the video.
Also at one point you talked about how tou learned new techniques for making better videos and one point was to let your personality shine in your videos. A big part of the reason I mainly stick to your channel for most of my comic lore is because of the passion and enthusiasm you convey when telling these stories. You're doing a great job

I love that you get so excited the more you tell the story!
Hey, Rob! I just finished this massive remaster, you did a great job. I've read Hickman's New Avengers part the last episodes of Secret Wars. I appreciate you filling in all the episodes and details I missed.
I, for one, welcome our scar-faced, metal plated overlords. Praise be onto Doom. Plus, he was the only one who had a method that, y'know, worked.
technically it wasnt him it was molecule man he jus did the dirty work for him
All hail Victor von Doom
Fairly odd parents was funny as hell
Praise Kalibak! I mean, Praise God Emperor Doom!

9 hours of Rob reminding everyone of what Captain Universe is.
6:21:31 THE BEST "Man, let-me-tell-y'all-somethin'!"
The mcu is the marvel cinematic universe "The movies" lol. The comics I guess u could call the earth 616 timeline? It's not the same as the mcu
@@nicktharp4740 haha nah I was at work and just put mcu cuz it was shorter, but mad respect on the catch

The best run in comics ever. I remember it concluded while I was in a fire academy. I had to wait till I graduated to find out the ending. Thanks for remastering this for posterity sake. A good listen at 1.5 speed while drawing my own comic!
Take a shot every time he says “basically”
Rob, man let me tell you something, ROB when you put these full length stories together . . . It’s like god is putting these stories together and telling them with his sexy ass voice!
BIG FACTS!
Agreed
LMAO you typed it just like how he speaks

Well said!
Couldn't have said it better
I don''t really read comics ( but watch MCU movies) I am here to congratulate and appreciate this guy for his passion and dedication. It''s, it's Legendary!
It really is, friend.
Man, this was a TRIP! I enjoyed this story a lot and especially loved how you told it! Your enthusiasm is fantastic, Rob!
The storytelling between namor and black panther to this day is one of my favorite things in marvel comics ever
These full story videos get me through most of my twelve hour work days, so thank you!!!
Hey Rob, big fan. I love downloading these and listening to them at work! I had a problem with this one when you were talking about the infinity gauntlet the first time, as I’m also a huge destiny 2 fan and got distracted by the music….
Thanks for making my work days less boring! Keep up the good work!

Maaan I watched this in the span of a WEEK, and I agree with Rob, this is probably one of the best comic books stories ever told.

34:35 Man, you just started to play on the background the soundtrack of my favourite movie Interstellar! I thought i couldn't like you more Rob
Holy crap this took me FOREVER to get through! You're awesome Rob!! Hold your head on high from this one. Great work!
Watched all 9 hours and oh my god its so good its incredable this seires off events was intense the whole time
I'm taking this in strides, the story is long enough. 9hrs, well for what Rob presented it is 9hrs. YkwIm? It's nice to see other stories though.
This video was a little bit too short for me Rob, lol. Keep em coming Rob. Much appreciated!!
You are for sure the ONLY content creator that I will actually watch a 9 HOUR VIDEO for 😂 love this stuff and you explain so awesome!
Bro you got me into comics and now I got my son into it as well.. thanks for all the hard work. This is by far my favorite story you've covered!
He's gonna be a goober like you

Just want you to know, this is easily the 24th time I’ve watched (well, listened really) and rewatched this 9hr video over the course of the last six months or so…still AWESOME every. Single. Time. Thanks bud, I really appreciate you makin this and I love how you (re)tell these stories and I watch most of ‘em. The FULL Venom story (King in Black) is pretty badass too. Keep it up bud.

Man, let me tell you something! Sometimes I have these on in the background for my entire day. In here for 'em! Keep up the amazing job!
Yo me too I like playing cod and listening to him
Thank you Rob. Yvonne
Who’s here after Doctor Strange: MOM. The MCU’s game of worlds is coming.
Me
I never got a chance to read comics as a kid and my only knowledge of these characters were the MCU and some of what I was told by my dad.

I finished this story and completely forgot that you didnt put in the conclusion to Thor & Hyperion. That video is just missing from this great remaster
This was singularly the best thing I’ve watched on RUclips Rob. I’m new to your channel and I love your work and will watch more of your streams. I just want to say thank you so much for this and your an extremely good story teller.

@@ishanmaddalwar8196 Ex Nihilio already terraformed Mars and made it habitable; why not just pack up & move to Mars?
I love these full story compilation videos, but I think we SERIOUSLY need time stamps AND links in descriptions for all the side stories mentioned but not gone through in that video, and more importantly links for whatever story is chronologically right before and right after the current one.
I've had so much trouble getting to watch these in proper order and it can ruin some stories for me when I'm left missing the lead up or the follow ups after stories.
It’s free content. We don’t need anything. You want him to do hours more work for free to make things easier for you.
@@maldor56 it'd be helpful. I'm just over an hour in, and he's already jumped a couple of times. It's kinda confusing. Obviously he doesn't have to, but it would be better for the quality of the video.
