The swan (corps the ballet) totally steal a great amount of attention in this ballet, the word to describe it is satisfaction , so satisfactory to see😍 and the outcome of hours and hours of practice are totally amazing

Their corps is one of their greatest strengths. Also their management, their designers, their costumers, and their soloists. Marie-Agnes Gillot is sensational, and has recently been allowed to choreograph for te company.
See the ballet la Bayadere, ACT 2, 39 balerinas, the Shades, also in white, descending usually a ramp doing continuously arabesques... The first one 39 times... Lovely!! music by L.Minkus as well.

AND to think on the opening night in 1877 it was a failure, it took redoing, time by Tchaikovski and another composer until it started to be Accepted... It took a bit of doing to find out this Is from Ópera de París. Thank you for posting!

Beautiful but no not Perfect. Watch some performances during the USSR era, or the Bolshoi. Now that was PERFECTION. Their freakin lives and their families livelihood depended on it

Ballet dancers are trained to military precision. They expect nothing else than perfection. As a dancer myself who dances a mix of ballet and contemporary, I can safely say that this kind of dance demands perfection and nothing lower
The performance? Amazing The choreography? Flawless The music? Beautiful The lighting and the faces of the ballerinas? Something took from a horror movie?
they have nutritionist help them with their diet my cousin was a prima ballerina back in the day I often told her I wanted to be a ballerina like she was but she told me how hard she had to work and that she had to practice for long hours at a time that it wasn't easy being a ballerina she was able to study under George Balanchine she became someone who could make dance's for other dancers she did 13 ballets for opera I can't spell the word

The dancing is just gorgeous. Too much clapping, though, in the UK we generally wait until the end of each movement before we clap, so that we don’t interrupt the music or the dancing but still show our immense appreciation. As much as I’d love to clap after some amazing solos, pas de deux and everything else...

you should see some other ballets, in giselle the corps de ballet stands in the same position for close to 20 minutes
