If it is 650 light years away, and it will apparently go supernova in a few decades, hasn’t it technically already gone supernova? We will just be waiting to see the light from that event.

I actually got a dream not long ago about this supernova happening.
At first, it was noticeable how it was just a dream, as I could see the supernova happening as if I was just 1 light year from it, with light going THROUGH buildings, but when it was calm, it shined with it's red glow, a ring of light, and of course, the 4 light rays. I don't know what my brain has with predicting things lately, cause i've been having dreams like this, predicting stuff.

The only things I can say is that the sky was full of stars even if I was in the middle of the city looking from a window, and that the star moved incredibly fast across the sky, symbolizing again that it was a dream.
Oh, that wasn't the topic, read it wrong. Whatever.
Now i'll do the thing you actually asked for.
      I had a dream predicting...death. Yes, death.
It all started with a completely white room, with god waiting for me. No, there were no stairs. it was just a completely white room. Then, god showed me a world that all angels share to do anything they want, and as a result, it was kinda destroyed.

  • @ryla22

Betelgeuse has very similar cycles to our star.
We're nearing the bad point of our longest cycle and thats why the sun's been messing with us so much lately. Im pretty sure our cycles are about half as long though.
The last time we were at this point in the cycle was around 12000 years ago during the miyaki event.
You can also see the effect of one of the smaller cycles in the thames river and what years it stays liquid vs what years it freezes in the winter. We just recently switched cycles into the phase where it stays liquid for a few decades im pretty sure.

So because its 650 lightyears away, it’s technically already gone supernova, the light has just kept on travelling since its death and will have done for a 650 years after the moment it ceases to produce light, since for each lightyear of distance, it takes 1 year for light to travel
So what we’re seeing now was actually happening 650 years ago

Any chance you can provide the sources where you got this information? I looked it up, and couldn’t find anything from Nasa stating, Betelgeuse will go supernova in our lifetime. They say it could go supernova in the next 100,000 years. That’s what I read. I was really excited for this event, so if you could provide your sources please, that would great. Thanks
